@kinngrimm Then you should probably report it to the developer of rimpy. Its closed source so there is nothing I can do to fix that.

rimpy tells me there is a missing dependency to Combat Shields. I guess the not (continued) version is still linked in there somewhere-

@leaningoakranch My suggestion would be RimSort, as it is an open source alternative to RimPy.

ok thanks again. Since you brought it up, what would/do you use to manage mods and lists in particular? I only use RimPy because I am brand new to this game using mods and its what was recommended to me by others. If there is an easier or more effective way to do this I am all ears and would really appreciate any help you can give me on this topic. Thanks again, you really are the greatest.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. I thought that mod dependencies were something the authors added to the code of the mods. Apparently not. I will try it in the list anyway and see what happens.

When adding this mod in RimPy it says that it has a missing dependency of the original Combat Shields even though I have your (continued) version already in the list? I assume this is a bug I can just ignore?

Isn't that fork the same as the original, except made to work with Combat Extended? If so, perhaps the patch could work with that?

Hey guys!
I used to use the mod "rimmsqol" to adjust the apparel in this mod so i could equip them with weapons etc
the options for rimmsqol got reset and I do not know what I did to change them to be equipable

If anyone else is also useing rimmsqol and fixed/changed these armour "tags" please share, thanks

@Alcatraz David You should be able to copy the existing patches on the mentioned github-repo and just add in the different one-handed weapon-defs from the mods you mentioned

@Alcatraz David Not really sure I understand. These are just extra shields for the Combat Shields-mod. I think the patches for other mods are better if they are added to the main mods than in this add-on.

I know this might take a lot of work from you, but as you can see the combat shield is current not compatible with most of Vanilla Weapons Expanse, they do have patch for the main mod, but for others like Quickdraw, Laser, or Makeshift, can you do the patch for these or can you tell me how to do it, then I will give you my work so you can upload it later ???

The ideology expansion will be out on 20/07,and the game version is 1.3 will this mod be updated for that :)? As i will be starting a new game when ideology is out.

1 because the other materials add to the armor rating of it
and 2 it's not the only metal material shield with the issue it's just the one I chose to show for the example all hard shields have this issue

here's another:

Steel Ballistic Shield: 124% sharp, 52.0% blunt and 32.5% heat armor rating
Dryxsteel Ballistic Shield: 70% sharp, 25% blunt and 0% heat armor rating

the screenshots clearly show that Ultraweave has a 200% armor rating for sharp, blunt and heat and the Dryxsteel has 90% for only sharp and blunt

Ultraweave is working just fine
Dryxsteel is the material that isn't working

For reference:
Cloth Tactical shield: 68% sharp, 30% blunt and 9% heat armor rating
Ultraweave Tactical shield: 200% sharp, 200% blunt and 200% heat armor rating

Steel Energy Shield: 135% sharp, 112.5% blunt and 30% heat armor rating
Dryxsteel Energy Shield: 90% sharp, 90% blunt and 0% heat armor rating

@Oilooc Well, the Ultraweave is a textile with no bonus to armor at all, while Dryxsteel is a metal with both blunt and sharp bonuses.

Ultraweave properly adjusts the armor rating of the Tac shield but, Dryxsteel has a 0% modifier to "hard" shields
