Great mod. I tried compressing one of my uncompressed save files for funsies and it went from 180MB to just 4MB. Then I found this. Thanks!

How is it incompatible anyway? I'm not sure how modmatch window mods change breaks save game handling.

Unless you're still using the same HDD you used with your i486 PC, then it's definitely faster. :)

@Lexa486, only saving will be faster. When you're loading the calculations to restore your map and everything in it is orders of magnitude more time consuming than file access.

u read the description right? u can deactivate the mods function at anytime.

do what? Toggle it on for normal, it behaves weirdly, toggle it off, see if it's still wierd (So we can know if it's your mod without having to use 7zip"
then, go back to being compressed (Basicly, for debugging, making sure it's not the compression causing the issue)

but, only affect that world!

Then, the other is so when you un-install this mod, the worlds all auto un-compress, so you don't have to use 77zip and do them all

okay, here's an idea: A menue that let's you choose wich worlds to compress, and it will decompress ones that aren't supposed to be compressed!

Basicly, set it to be on by default, but custom per world

Then, for de-comp, would it be possible to have it where when you un-check it, and re-start rimworld, it stops the closing, un-zips them, then let's the restart commence?

@pumacatrun2, it is compatible. RimSaves stores its additional data outside of the save files, in a new folder structure. That's way it is very compatible with other mods, and you can add and remove it at any point. RimSaves is very well scripted.

@tiagocc0, Better ModMismatch Window implements their own [github.com] save game parser, and doesn't use RimWorld one's. My mod only patches RimWorld's loader. If you have loaded both mods together, you cannot load any compressed save games.

About the Better "ModMismatch Window" incompatibility, does it cause errors and can't be used together or just some minor issues and can be used together?

@Mistletoe The Bard, you can always decompress the file using 7zip. Notepad++ contains an XML pretty printer. Or you can disable compression and enable pretty printing in the mod settings to get an ordinary save file.

Does this mean that we won't be able to edit our save file mid game with this mod though?
