@KurtHussein No, it only affects maps, not the globe
KurtHussein Mar 12 @ 3:09pm
Does it affect the world? I mean, in winter is coming scenario, will polar cap expand, and so on?

@palmsaresweaty u can now technically using devmode they added the "add condition" option now and after further testing even changing settings will make cycle+ still work as intended
Mlie  [author] Nov 4, 2024 @ 5:01am
@PalmsAreSweaty I have no such plans, sorry
PalmsAreSweaty Nov 4, 2024 @ 4:58am
Hello!

Do you think you will every make this save-game compatible?

Or have an option to turn it on and off?

I love it, but sometimes I want to take a break from it you know?

I was trying to replicate the Dune world, hot during day, but normal at night, is there specific settings to do this or can this mod. Not yet, do a Dune like planetary cycle?
Mask of Humble Oct 6, 2024 @ 3:54am
Description is pretty all over the place, I was hoping to find a mod that started out normal and then got cold and stayed cold, thank you for the response
Mlie  [author] Oct 6, 2024 @ 12:14am
@Mask of Humble The cycle is explained in detail in the description of the mod. You set the length and harshness of the cycle in the mod-options
Mask of Humble Oct 5, 2024 @ 11:59pm
So, winter is coming, does it start out as your normal temp and then turn cold and stay cold?
Mlie  [author] Aug 24, 2024 @ 11:18pm
@shimizu01 I didnt write the description, the original author did.
shimizu01 Aug 24, 2024 @ 5:22pm
I don't really understand how to adjust this mod
You say there are 3 settings but I see 4, so I don't understand your descriptions (this must also be the case for the other people who asked you the question...): Regular cycle, winter is coming, waiting for the sun and normal summer cold winter.
And for the bottom numbers give 2 or 3 examples. It is difficult to realize the impact of the numbers we enter...
But thank you for this mod, I'm going to try a setting and hope to be able to change it during the game if it wasn't what I wanted

Thank you very much !!
Mlie  [author] May 21, 2024 @ 12:37am
@Shapperd Should be fixed now
Shapperd May 20, 2024 @ 11:59pm
thanks for the quick response, i tried to follow the link to Github linked in the mod page however it gives me 404 error
Mlie  [author] May 20, 2024 @ 9:18am
@Shapperd Full source is available in the Github repo
Shapperd May 20, 2024 @ 8:30am
i wanted to edit the code to make some changes that i wannna use for my personal game however when i downloaded the file i couldn't find GameCondition_ClimateCyclePlusPlus.sc file
Douglas Mc Arthur Feb 14, 2024 @ 10:58am
how to decrease the year cuse when i want to write 1 it writes 14 and the to 8 years i cant decrease value
Duncanois Feb 8, 2024 @ 2:40pm
You are correct, BUT this ONLY affects the climate CYCLE, NOT the temperature offset.
giimer Feb 8, 2024 @ 1:47pm
Can be set to permanent effect
Duncanois Feb 8, 2024 @ 12:14am
Yes, but I mean constant temperature offset of a biome. So basically lowering the average by -40C (or greater). Cycle++ only changes temps by that deviation over the set period
giimer Feb 7, 2024 @ 11:07pm
Climate Cycle++ can be configured via the configuration menu. It allows you to get a deviation greater than 40 degrees.
Duncanois Feb 6, 2024 @ 8:02pm
If anyone is interested in making biomes even colder, try "Cold Desert Nights (Continued)". Also updated by the incredible Mlie (thanks again for your contributions!). This mod will allow you to set temps of biomes either higher or lower (I've put the permafrost biome (realistic planets) at -40C along with using this mod for that Frostpunk feel). Hope this helps someone!
giimer Feb 4, 2024 @ 2:54am
1. developer menu
2. add game conduction
Red Wizard Feb 3, 2024 @ 12:37pm
Is there a way to add this to a map once a game has been started?
giimer Aug 19, 2023 @ 11:28pm
Cry...
Mlie  [author] Aug 19, 2023 @ 10:48pm
@giimer I did not write the original description, I have no info regarding that mod

I can't find the Extreme Colds modification you recommended. Link does not work. Does that mod still exist?
Manties Mar 7, 2023 @ 12:21am
@Mile Thank you that has fixed the issue. Also just want to say a big thank you for all your work on all the mods. Especially bringing the old ones back to life!
Mlie  [author] Mar 3, 2023 @ 3:42am
@Manties You can just remove the settings-file in your configs folder to remove any broken mod-settings
Manties Mar 3, 2023 @ 2:34am
This mod doesn't work for me. I can't change the second input, it is stuck at 8 years. No matter what I do I cannot change it. Tried reinstalling twice. It is just always 8. I believe 8 was the first number I pushed when fiddling with it, so perhaps for me it can't change after the first input. I dont' know, either way the 8 year cycle it is set to does not work in practice either. I will use the other climate mod until this one is works.
KelTuze Feb 16, 2023 @ 9:58am
Am I correct in assuming that it cannot be set from -120 to +120?
The Scarlet Pumpernickle Aug 2, 2021 @ 6:30pm
Finally, I can play Frostpunk in Rimworld.
Birds Aren't Real Jul 31, 2021 @ 3:33pm
So if you have the multiplier on temperature rise set to 0, then it will not get any worse for the next cycle? All the cycles will be the same then?
blitz_liar May 1, 2021 @ 12:36pm
Is there a minimum temperature in the Winter is Coming tool?? I'd like to set up a rogue planet scenario where the temperature drops every year until stopping just above absolute zero.
Alapma Apr 13, 2021 @ 1:12pm
does this mod allows me to configure x temperature? like i want -10/-20cª in winter 11/0cª in atum, 20/10cª in spring and 30/20cª in summer?
Mlie  [author] Apr 6, 2021 @ 2:07pm
@Chief DJ It will always be a cycle so you can set the length to 14 years if you want the coldest after 7 years
Chief DJ Apr 6, 2021 @ 1:58pm
I would like to start off with a permanent summer colony that slowly gets colder so that by the end of like 7 years it will be arctic temperatures. I'm trying to use the "Winter is Coming" option but a little confused about what numbers to use. Any ideas?
Mlie  [author] Apr 3, 2021 @ 6:41am
@Freya☠ That would be the third variant described above
Freya Apr 3, 2021 @ 6:38am
is there a way to set it up that the normal summer time is normal then as it goes autumn> winter going increasingly cold and then going back to normal in spring and summer?
Mur Derer Feb 12, 2021 @ 6:14am
Does this affect performance?
Mlie  [author] Jan 15, 2021 @ 12:07pm
@Ronivan From the description above:
"There are three types of climate cycle: The first one is similar to the vanilla Climate Cycle, only it ramps up quicker and further. The second version is a climate cycle that gets hotter and hotter and the final version gets colder and colder. You can change these in the Settings menu."
Ronivan Oct 23, 2020 @ 8:24pm
Also I want to ask which one is suppose to be cold, Winter is Coming or Waiting for the Sun? Both here and the mod don't offer any form of description of each situation.
Ronivan Oct 23, 2020 @ 8:23pm
So the last option there, Normal Summer, Cold Winter, is suppose to mean that the summer temperature will be like standard, but the winter will be quite cold, am I correct?
Idaho Jul 6, 2020 @ 2:04pm
Does this work just fine?
れPURE い.億KiotheCloud四 Mar 20, 2020 @ 1:01am
this mod is giving me major lag spikes with it as a permanent scenario Even during the start of a new the game I tested it by going to an older colony with more stuff and that colony actually doesnt get any lag spikes i guess ill have to pass on this one , it doesnt give any error just tiny lag spikes that actually annoys more the longer I play.
