A run away climate cycle, seeking EXTREEEEEME weather.

version 0.1.1.2

How to use

Step 1. Install mod.
Step 2. Activate in the scenario editor before starting a new colony.

Credits and thanks:

- ShotgunFrenzy and ramyb for the preview image.
- Why_is_that for the SettingsHelper.
- www.twitch.tv/Spartyon7 for testing.
- Dan, for rubber ducking :)

The base game has a Climate Cycle scenario you can add, which has a slow temperature rise until you hit +20C from average temperature, then begins dropping until you hit -20C, then back up again. The cycle takes 4 years to get back to the beginning. Climate Cycle ++ increases the temperature offset over time and allows you to set the length of the cycle. At first the temperature becomes more extreme, then downright inhospitable.

Not savegame compatible.

There are three types of climate cycle: The first one is similar to the vanilla Climate Cycle, only it ramps up quicker and further. The second version is a climate cycle that gets hotter and hotter and the final version gets colder and colder. You can change these in the Settings menu.

Is the "Winter is Coming" setting still not cold enough for you? Want really freezing temperatures? Try it together with Extreme Colds by Why_is_that.

It also adds an alert for Heatstroke. You'll need it.

Is there a mod where I can change the rainfall slider? Unlike previous version where it just makes the world more greener, this slider now makes rain appear more often which is getting annoying already imo.

Thank you Mile! <3

@Hakkai My guess is that it will jump to the same progress in the new setting

Does changing the climate setting change reset the climate progression?
Specifically in the case of.. 2 savegames with different settings. Will everything work correctly if i change the mod options to the correct climate setting before loading it?

I love this mod! Is there any chance you could make the climate cycle affect what seasons are displayed on the sidebar? If you settle around the equator it still shows permanent summer even when temperatures reach -100C outside

@KurtHussein No, it only affects maps, not the globe

Does it affect the world? I mean, in winter is coming scenario, will polar cap expand, and so on?

@palmsaresweaty u can now technically using devmode they added the "add condition" option now and after further testing even changing settings will make cycle+ still work as intended

@PalmsAreSweaty I have no such plans, sorry

Hello!

Do you think you will every make this save-game compatible?

Or have an option to turn it on and off?

I love it, but sometimes I want to take a break from it you know?
