@Selen Yes, it would. However, you can just use a local version of the mod instead. In fact, many do that to be sure updates do not affect their current saves.
You can download the mod from the github-repo releases section and extract it in your mod-folder. There you can modify it to whatever fits your playstyle.

Hmm! Is it simple enough for me to just go in and try to edit it to my liking? Wouldn't it break if you update something and it redownloads?

@Selen This is a simple xml-mod, there are no settings as that would require assemblies. The original description is shown as is, I did not write it so again, I cant answer for what omissions they might have.

I mean, the update notes above do not mention anything about rebalancing parts from 100% to 125%, unless it was omitted from them. And it doesn't explain the +4% either.

Since the original author is kinda not here anymore to maintain the mod, and i can't ask them, doesn't it become yours by default? Can't you at least add option to tweak the settings to those who are not knowlegeable with xml editing?

I just noticed the behavior that @Nagnalt has described.
Regardless of what the point of the mod was, it grants us the ability to achieve more than archotec arms/legs levels of efficiency with much less investments. Craftable, even. This is kinda absurd when you consider the fact that bionic arms, logically, already come with a full set of bionic fingers on them (i know that this is not the case mechanically, but logically it is).

Why do bionic didgets give a flat bonus to manipulation/movement to begin with? Wouldn't just making them 125% efficient enough? I don't understand the purpose of that.

Hello Mlie, thank you for keeping this mod updated, it's great to be able to replace all the fingers and toes that fly off in battle without needing a whole arm or leg replaced. I have one suggestion, would it be possible to make these digits count as "artifical body parts" for the purpose of the Transhumanist meme and the Body Modder trait? Seeing as even the lowly wooden peg leg counts for this bonus, I think a fabricated finger should do so as well.

@Nagnalt I dont think the point of the mod was to replace all fingers of the hand, but good that you fixed the mod to fit your playstyle

overall, thank you for bringing this to 1.5 this is a positive to my experience. but i think the fingers are overtuned. and too strong bonuses.

the 10 fingers give 160% manipulation. where two bionic arms would only give 125% and two archotech would give 150%.

the fingers equal the bionic arms body part efficiency of 125% which is good. but they also give a flat bonus 4% to manipulation. a problem.
for the wealth, i'd like it to be just bionic/prosthetic equivalent divided by 5. configurable would be good.

I think wooden toes and fingers are unrealistic. even today people rather go without.
the prosthetic digits have an efficiency of 1 instead of .5 to match the arms.

i've poked around the xml to make the changes myself so i'm set. I noticed that xml bits for the simple digits are mislabelled as either bionic or prosthetic. prob since they were added later, they're just modified version of those.

Hey, just downloaded this. Nice job on updating. Used to use the original in 1.0... I can craft fingers and toes (all material types! Gold-finger anyone??) at the electric smithy but cant see where to craft Bionic versions with simple as one of the required materials... Help plx?

I cannot seem to create bionic variants... it does not seem to recognize the prosthetic toe needed. Can this be an issue with the Quality Bionics mod?

the mod: Prosthetic No Missing Body Parts stop updating. It allows pawn to wear gear on the prosthetic limbs. Some other mods like jewellery mod need this function
