This looks like exactly one of the mods I was looking for. I hope it will get updated, preferably soon.
adamok5002 May 15, 2022 @ 11:39pm

Sannestia Oct 3, 2021 @ 4:02pm

Thundercraft Aug 27, 2021 @ 12:28am
Is there a chance this will get an update for 1.3?
Zer0_Requiem Jul 31, 2021 @ 9:55am
Do you have any plans to update this to 1.3?
Fumblesneeze Dec 22, 2020 @ 6:50am
@MONKE is there a way to create Chemfuel from Coal?
Dentist [2 RANG] Nov 22, 2020 @ 5:15pm
can you add support for Survivalist's Additions coal?
Fumblesneeze Nov 7, 2020 @ 7:39am
I humbly request being able to smooth walls with gems for even more beautiful smoothed walls than regular ones.

I kept getting a red error for being unable to load /oreicon. I have seemingly "fixed" this error by moving the oreicon.png into the orechunks folder and editing line 12 of ore_chunks_Defs.xml to point to that folder instead.

Not sure if this is the correct fix for it.
DarkSlayerEX Oct 16, 2020 @ 9:33pm
Alright, so I deleted my entire workshop folder and reverified, and the coalexpanded patch file is there now.. I really wish steam wasn't so awful.

Running into other issues, so can't confirm yet if it's working properly, but progress =D
DarkSlayerEX Oct 16, 2020 @ 5:03pm
Jack Oct 16, 2020 @ 4:22pm
it dosnt work with all other mods ^^ .
DarkSlayerEX Oct 16, 2020 @ 3:06pm
I never saved a local copy, and I just resubscribed to the mod with no apparent change
LupineWitch  [author] Oct 16, 2020 @ 3:01pm
@DarkSlayerEX have u downloaded the new update? Maybe u are using local copy from mod manager
DarkSlayerEX Oct 16, 2020 @ 2:32pm
I'm running into an issue where Coal Expanded's coal is generating as well as this mod's coal, and the kilns and such are all only accepting this mod's coal.

I've also noticed no such code in the patch file removing this mod's coal or making the tweaks to recipes to use theirs?
ParabolicSamuel Sep 27, 2020 @ 9:35am
All of the minable coal on my map disappeared after this update. The coal I mined out still exist though.
Lauri7x3 Sep 27, 2020 @ 9:09am
funny.. the update broke my game... coal completly disappered from the map...
Zer0_Requiem Sep 27, 2020 @ 6:45am
Thank You so Much!
LupineWitch  [author] Sep 27, 2020 @ 6:28am
New update is out. Check description for details. Now Coal Expanded is fully supported.
Zer0_Requiem Sep 11, 2020 @ 7:56am
Ah ok, Well I cant wait for Either!
LupineWitch  [author] Sep 10, 2020 @ 12:48am
@Zer0_Requiem I'm working on compatibility patch, but rn I'm working on sound pack to replace vanilla shooting sounds
Zer0_Requiem Sep 9, 2020 @ 11:17am
Is there any chance you could make your Kiln use the Coal/Charcol from this Mod? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1874344070&searchtext=coal
DarkSlayerEX Aug 30, 2020 @ 12:26am
I asked earlier but I'm not sure it was seen, but I was hoping you'd be willing to patch the wood -> charcoal recipe to allow Expanded woodworking logs, as currently I have to process the logs into lumber (vanilla log def) in order to make charcoal.

The wood logs created by Expanded woodworking fall under the "WoodTypes" ThingCategory, if that helps.

(I am still using 1.1 unfortunately due to lack of mod updates, but it would still help others in the future i'm sure)
LupineWitch  [author] Aug 19, 2020 @ 10:18am
@liosalpha Yeah, that was a bug I fixed it and will posh update in 1 min
LupineWitch  [author] Aug 19, 2020 @ 10:17am
@Leukill Mod has been updated, so it should be more clear now!
liosalpha Aug 19, 2020 @ 9:38am
I mean Iron ore*
liosalpha Aug 19, 2020 @ 9:27am
Maybe im doing something wrong but i made some charcoal in the smelting klin so i can melt some ore.
The discriptions sais it can use charcoal and coal but in the bill details it does not accept anything other then plain mined coal.
Vidote Aug 19, 2020 @ 7:56am
ooohhhh okay
there's nothing in the work tab that says that (probably because of other mods) so i was assinging miners to do that
Thanks!
LupineWitch  [author] Aug 19, 2020 @ 12:08am
@Leukill sive workspeed depends on pawn's intellectual skill, so ue smart pawns
pgames-food Aug 18, 2020 @ 8:54pm
hi if the sieve process uses a work speed, maybe an item of clothing from aparello mod could help you, or some food/drug/drinks which increase the work speed
Vidote Aug 18, 2020 @ 8:26am
hey, any way to make the sieve proccess faster?
Zer0_Requiem Aug 7, 2020 @ 9:56am
I love this mod, but I was just curious if you thought about patching in this Fantasy Metal mod? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2173422423
LupineWitch  [author] Aug 6, 2020 @ 1:31am
@Dizaazter U need to select sieve and pawn must finish working at it.
Mind that nodes used by medievalmine are different from those used by deep drills.
Zociopaath Aug 5, 2020 @ 10:48pm
love this mod but for a while now can't get any nodes to show. is there someting i do wrong or does the nodes only show when use the sieve?
DarkSlayerEX Aug 5, 2020 @ 12:51pm
I was wondering if you'd be able to add compatability for the wood to charcoal to detect woodworking mods that add logs and lumber.
Currently I have to process raw wood with expanded woodworking into mixed lumber in order to make charcoal with it.
4 года без мефа Jul 10, 2020 @ 8:10am
is this mod support russian language?
Kenny Dave Jul 4, 2020 @ 2:55pm
Did you mean to have the primitive iron ore smelting as coal only, not charcoal?

If not, it should be

<fixedIngredientFilter>
<thingDefs>
<li>ChunkIronOre</li>
<li>CoalOre</li>
<li>CharCoalOre</li>
</thingDefs>
</fixedIngredientFilter>

Not

<fixedIngredientFilter>
<thingDefs>
<li>ChunkIronOre</li>
<li>CoalOre</li>
</thingDefs>
</fixedIngredientFilter>

Thank you :)

Hey Nero,
So I have an output log from when I boot up the game.
https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/57f1d83881fc9c983e5299c67be86888
Another one when I load up the save file in question if it makes a difference.
https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/4e25f83f446c75e0772155f6f8ca1281
Let me know if you need anything else, thanks for you spending some time on this issue!
LupineWitch  [author] Jun 25, 2020 @ 6:54am
@Chicken'd Hi, I've rough time at the collage atm,but if you can provide me a pastebin with logs from your game I will try to help.

To the people with reasearch speed error message it will be fixed when I will get some time on my hands sorry
Chicken'd Jun 24, 2020 @ 9:18pm
I just recently started a new file, but when I try and place a mine down, I can't seem to see any resource nodes on the map, been only digging up rock chunks. I know I had this mod on while the map generated as it has coal nodes present. I'm thinking that maybe Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Power might have a conflict with it as it adds its own geyser like resources, otherwise I do not know what could be the issue. The log also doesn't mention any problems. Hope you can provide some insights.
mage. May 31, 2020 @ 3:56pm
i am running a medieval time mod and it needs Simple Coal, is it compatible with this mod? thanks
Alchemyst May 31, 2020 @ 8:36am
Same errors in my game.
Everything else seems ok
An actual duck May 26, 2020 @ 2:14pm
Getting a debug error when attempting to use this mod. I removed all other mods and ran just this mod solo and got the same error:

"Could not resolve cross-reference to RimWorld.SkillDef named Researching (wanter=relevantSkills)"
and
"Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at /oreicon in any active mod or in base resources."
Sapphic Eldritch Horror May 23, 2020 @ 8:13pm
I love the idea of early game deep drills that work slowly etc but I would like them as stand alone part if at all possible.
Would work better with other mods like Vanilla Iron and Steel or Coal Expanded
LupineWitch  [author] May 21, 2020 @ 9:55am
@Minirobomedic Thanks for the heads up, I always use fueled smelter from VFE : Production where said recipe is not present so I have not noticed, wil fix it ASAP
Minirobomedic May 20, 2020 @ 3:32pm
The bulk steel recipe at the blast furnace and the single recipe at the primitive furnace wouldn't work so I looked at the code. Turns out they are missing CharCoalOre in the fixedingredientfilter...learned how to make and apply a patch to add it and suddenly the recipes work again.
LupineWitch  [author] May 12, 2020 @ 3:13am
@Nitsah All the ore you habe mined will disappear, also mineable coal blocks too.
