I know they're Boomrats and Boomalopes

but this one really should be called a Bombat instead of a Boombat.

how would a boom (explode) animal produce neutromaine (non explosive medical compound) ?

What
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Jun 16, 2022 @ 9:51am
I'd need the full Hugslib log to know what is patching things wrong there! Both the Blizarisk and the Boombat have no code (well, ranged attacks on the Blizzarisk, but they wouldn't cause job errors)

Koala litter size is 1-2.5 im not sure how they could have 2.5 babies...

KANGAROOS ARE AWESOME

sadly trainability none?

description disappointed us :(
Sarg Bjornson  [author] May 17, 2022 @ 7:44am
Family, not Order. And anteaters belong to neither, you are probably thinking of the echidna
CTH2004 May 17, 2022 @ 7:39am
You know, platapi are monotremes. There is one other surviving monotreme, the Anteater.
Longman May 13, 2022 @ 12:58pm
I've tamed the kangaroo because the description said "can be trained easily to become animal super soldiers" yet Kangaroo trainability is "none"... and *puf* goes my plan of having an army of murderoos protecting my hippie tribe.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] May 1, 2022 @ 2:13pm
That's just because they are not pen animals
robinzilla May 1, 2022 @ 2:11pm
Hi there, I love using this mod since I like to do a lot of animal work. One issue I've run into now is getting the animals added by this mod to show up in the 'Animals' tab in the pen marker menu.

For example, I have a group of Boombats that I would like to manage inside of the pens I have built for other farm animals. When I go to the pen marker and select animals, they are not in the list, so pawns won't auto manage them within that space. Would it be possible to add them to the list? Thanks!

The platypus needs to produce milk alongside the eggs.

Oh, the irony...
I think it's because of emus.
Australian government probably still has PTSD from losing the war.
That's why they refused classification.
Proof that next time emus should finish the job...

Love the "boombat" idea. Brilliant!
CringlChisps Mar 8, 2022 @ 2:12am
fuck the government's censorship people will buy rimworld either way; this ban just means that they'll buy it where the government can't cash in
Lasagna Mar 7, 2022 @ 3:14pm
somewhat ironic that the Australian government just banned Rimworld.
wawa Mar 5, 2022 @ 8:11pm
i got a suggestion for april fools: when it's april fools make random stuff upside down
life4trinity Feb 3, 2022 @ 4:05pm
Bro what is this, Kangaroos are fucken useless the cunts can't even fight.
DuGalle Feb 3, 2022 @ 10:51am
Small mistake in the platypus description, it should be "its venomous ankle spurs" not "it's". Inconsequential, really, but I'm a pedantic bastard
Chronicus Jan 12, 2022 @ 10:43am
Kangaroo tranability nerf got yet another rimworlder. Wasted 606 silver on a mating pair of roo's only to realize they are no longer trainable. -_-
Prototype_Fae Nov 10, 2021 @ 9:49pm
As an Australian, i love this
AverageAvenue Sep 27, 2021 @ 2:21pm
need boomaroos!!! please lol i dont think itll happen but hey, worth a shot..
Coldbody° Sep 16, 2021 @ 2:20pm
I see im not the only one who bought Kangaroos to be trained to fight and was baited...plz update that <3
AzEl Sep 2, 2021 @ 10:58am
I also bought kangaroos only to find out they are not trainable. Really should update the description or the trainability.
JACK Aug 13, 2021 @ 12:14pm
aw damn. guess I wasted my money on the kangaroos in my current file. the change strikes me as really strange, hope it eventually gets reverted. fwiw love the rest of the mod/series!
red guy dayo Aug 7, 2021 @ 8:38am
whoops nvm, just checked it ingame and it seem like only the trainability was removed, but its still an area animal.
red guy dayo Aug 4, 2021 @ 8:26pm
@Aussin they turned into pen animals in 1.3. imo i hope this changes, I miss my bionic super soldier kangaroo army.
Aussinw Jul 31, 2021 @ 3:29am
I'm confused about the kangaroos, it says they can be trained for combat, but I don't see any option in game to train them?
Exion Jul 31, 2021 @ 2:35am
I was installing 1 by 1 the mods I like, mostly are from the "Vanilla Expanded set", and when I install this one a red bug line appears. Any idea about how to solve it?
Corey.young Jul 29, 2021 @ 3:17am
Sorry if this has been commented already, but a Dingo would be a viable addon
Great mod, thanks :)
LeftBower Jul 28, 2021 @ 2:22am
I do enjoy this, but as an Aussie there are some problems:
- Kangaroos having aggressiveness 0% is straight up incorrect. Big reds will start a punch-on with a moving vehicle, and won't always come off worse than small cars either. 10% would be fine as this seems to be a smaller roo species.
- Koalas should yield less meat - they're all diseased and also mostly eat toxic leaves, so you'd need to be pretty desperate to eat them.
- Boombats, but no wombats?
- Boombats seem to spawn in higher numbers than I'd expect.
- Cassowaries might be too aggressive for balance reasons, but would make sense in rainforest biomes.
- Goannas and Echidnas would also be cool. Goannas particularly would fill a larger lizard role, one worth hunting but not so large as Komodo Dragons.
- Snakes, lol. Taipans, red-belly blacks, and carpet pythons would be the most iconic picks, although the pythons would be the most mechanically different from the already existing cobra option.

I was expecting man-hunting emus and a shit ton of spiders but this is good enough.

@AUS-Z Till you make a Koala Bear hat out of that cheeky ****** that decides today's the day to mess with some humans and go all manhunter.
AUS-Z Jun 29, 2021 @ 12:55pm
steve irwin would approve
Excel.exe Jun 24, 2021 @ 7:55pm
very disheartened you didn't make a boomalope version of the kangaroo named kangaboom
Niamhicus Elerita Jun 21, 2021 @ 5:37pm
... How have I not found them yet. I am sorry. u..u'' I wasn't aware my comment did anything more than increase the mod's visibility.
Oskar Potocki  [author] Jun 21, 2021 @ 8:51am
Cassowaries are vanilla.
Niamhicus Elerita Jun 21, 2021 @ 8:25am
After finding out my partner didn't know Australia had horses, realizing brumby is an Australian term, and going down a rabbit hole of showing her animals I grew up around. I have to say, I am terribly disappointed there isn't a bilby here. My next one would be cassowary, but bilby's are cute. And easter-themed (over here, at least). Not that it's easter, but still. /Chocolate/.
Soma Apr 3, 2021 @ 4:24pm
I am guessing I am not the only person to point this out, but in case it hasn't been said:

Naming the Wombat animals Boombats is totally wasting a perfect pun.

You could have named them "Bombats"
Sam Look Mar 19, 2021 @ 6:42pm
The only real bug I have with this is the rate of appearance. Temperate forests are completely infested with Australians!!! I feel they should be slightly more rare than that... Absolutely loving having the biodiversity though with all the extra animal mods enabled!
pig in a pumpkin Mar 12, 2021 @ 12:00am
ok
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Mar 11, 2021 @ 10:46pm
Good news: your modlist is not a toilet, so it can't clog! But no, in all seriousness, these are conceived as modular, and they'll never be put together.
