I actually use this mod exclusively for the event config. It's a lot easier than finding specific mods to turn off shit like Toxic Fallout.

100% chance so far for every stranger or person who wants to join turns into a traitor the second i give them a weapon had a guy join my colony once for over 2 years i didn't give him a weapon because i was worried he would be a traitor this dude went on to have a kid with one of the other colonists and i'm like okay i can trust him i give him a full set of gear and a good quality assault rifle *bweep bweep* traitor! i literally face palmed like bro come on lol

I have a suggestion and I couldn't find it anywhere in the idea discussion nor in these comments, so, sorry in case I missed it:

The long night event should also slowly drop temperatures when it lasts several days and solar flares should be disabled while it is active... because, you know... the sun is blocked.

I'm having Diplomatic Marriage requests almost constantly, even from factions that are at -100 relations with me.

Also, Psychic Rain should have a slightly higher chance of dissipating early, I think. The aging isn't even that much of a hassle, but I'm extremely annoyed by the lack of visibility and the inability to see jack shit on my map outside of the few brightest hours of the day.

Maybe the psychic rain will sometimes be a psychic drizzle? So it isn't absolutely hammering monsoon rains for 2 years straight? Please. I beg you.

Had an issue where a Diplomatic Marriage event occurred even though it was disabled in the mod settings (only happened once, so no idea what caused that to happen), but otherwise great mod! Blends very well with other mods, and often a must-have when playing around with a bunch of other mods that add their own unique events.

A little suggestion for the next update.
Vanilla now display Debug gizmos only when GOD mode is enabled, not DevMode.
As a lot of players play with DevMode enabled all the time, hidden Debug gizmos won't reveal secrets about pawns.
Your HediffComp_Traitor has `Now` Debug gizmo that will instantly tell the player, that the joined pawn is a traitor if DevMode is enabled.
Would be nice, if it was shown only when GOD mode is enabled, the same as vanilla.

@dev: Any way to add more "randomness" to an event, not sure if the code supports it even, namely "Space Battles" always does 8 ship parts and I believe, though I haven't counted, a fixed number of bodies (alive or otherwise) too; would like to see that random. Also "downed shuttle" is always I believe the same number of bodies, I want to say 4, should be random between 1 and X (IDK what the max lore capacity of a shuttle is). Would even be cooler if those bodies (both events) could randomly be flagged as deserters and attack you later as a surprise like any deserter.

I set the "wastepack infestation" event to "disabled" but it still occurs on my 1.5 colony.
other disabled events have so far not occured.

is there a way to trigger an event? I have had a few ice ages back to back, and now my world is stuck super cold (when before the events it was warm in the summer and cool in the winter) the ice ages have ended, but the affect still remains

There is a patch to SOS2, it fixes all the incompatibilities. It's working, even if SOS2 tells it's {LINK REMOVED}

Psychic Bloom is fun and all ... until it eats your grove of polux trees.

Any chance that part of it could get disabled? I doubt anyone wants their beloved poluxi nuked by marauding day lilies :steamhappy:

@fachmann, not for this one. but other vanilla expanded often need them. you'll see if they need the framework or not on the right side of the page above the creator(s) list

For whatever reason I am unable to tend to pawns from 'Shuttle crash' events. I managed to recruit a pawn from one of them and still I am unable to tend to any injuries they have.

T.O.F: It does on planet but it breaks everything once in space.

The mod is decent, especially early game but the drops get old quick, I ended up disabling everything TBH but the purple and red events. And even then my critique of the red event is I feel 95% of the time they are traitors hence not interesting. The default should be not traitor and so they surprise you, ideally way down the road too like an hour or two after you integrated them, they have gear, etc. Even better if they sometimes turned in the middle of fight (i.e. stab you in the back) and had some logic to run and equip your best stuff.

Howdy, I came to provide some feedback. First off let me say thanks this mod is dope much like all the other mods you guys release. So thank! But as for feedback I noticed a "bug?" with the Traitor Joiner event. If you have a player ideology active it always give that ideo to a traitor joiner, (It does not do this for a regular joiner they will have a random ideo from the world) its a dead give away its a traitor. Ive tested this over 2 dozen times and if they join with the player ideo and I didnt summon them as an Ideology ritual event reward, then they are a 100% a traitor.

Hunting Party doesn't crash my game but they're funny. They seldom succeed in hunting without causing animal packs to go manhunting. Also, there was once when an imperial hunt with a EMP launcher.

Anyone else get the Space Shuttle crash and that mfer keeps popping out pawns? I am currently watching it, it's at 53 and counting lmao. Conflict I'm assuming but curious if anyone ran into this

Just reporting that the shuttle event seem broken, it spam the dev log and spawn infinite downed humans until I destroy the shuttle :/ Doesn't seem like a mod incompatibility

this mod aged like milk FR and needs a remake because of how old the mod is, vanilla events are made to "STORYTELLING" or be a fun challenge and this "vanilla" mod dont do any of that. The "Vanilla expanded team" really had a different vision of Rimworld in 2019 when this mod was launched, just compare this mod to the newest and overhauled ones of 2023 or 2024

im gunna disable this mod cause it's cool but some of the events last waaay too fucking long for how crippling they are. global warming making my temperate forest go from 34c peak to 64c peak is just really not fun. for the first 3 months it was an interesting survival challenge, but it just became really tedious and massively game warping.

Quite interesting, I got an Ice Age event, and 3 days later Global Warming. All during a Long Night event.
Maybe those long events need to be balanced a little. I don't actually feel any difference as I am playing on an ice sheet so it's cold anyway. Rain intensity also doesn't seem to increase, contrary to what all three events state.
