The road china content has not and will not be adopted by RP. This position will be revisited when Paradox releases the upcoming china content, if it turns out to be substandard then i might import the road china content.

The road china tree has timing and balancing issues, as well as having some outright nonsensical paths.

It is not a bug because i implemented it.

Why?
Because vanilla cuts industrial research early to free up research slots for techs like tanks and ships. Industrial techs are the most boring and broken techs.

How to fix it?
You would have to override numerous RP files with Road files. So basically make your own version of RP.

It is not a wrong translation. Iosif is the russified way of writing Stalin's original Georgian name Iosib. Its basically the russian pronunciation written in the latin alphabet.

Its not a stupid question, we dont really track what did and did not change.

Off the top of my head, base industrial output for military factories cut in half, naval boosted 2x, AI should use much better tank templates and be less aggresive with pushes it cannot win. Custom air techs with a slightly redone air designer, redone naval designer... occasional nerfs and buffs to focus trees, some slight rearranges to make things more or less useful. Some annoying road and vanilla popups supressed, like soviet health micro events, american migration if you go fascist turned into a background timer in decisions instead of a popup and the german civil war "city liberated from nazi's suffers damage" events no longer popping up in your face.

A hodgepodge of stuff, really.

Mod has gone standalone, you do not run both R56 and R56RP at the same time.

Missing industrial research between 1943 and 1954 is intentional.

Hey while playing with this mod and rt56 there's a bug in the industry research tree it goes up only until 1943 and not 1954 tried to unsubscribe and subscribe didn't help

Could be technically possible, but i would prefer not to do it so its easier to manage AI files around only having one tech tree type.

And i do think the stretched industrial techs were a bad idea. Look at how vanilla does it, up to 1943 you have output buff techs, which are useful for almost everything and the go-to tech. After 1943 they run out, and you have research slots freed up for other things, like navy or investing into armor modules or maybe special techs.

Removing it frees up research slots in the later game to diversify your units, it reduces the hilariously high snowballing of all nations on the map so it slightly reduces lag and not by introducing artificial unit caps that can feel gamey.

This also will probably allow me to bring the output back up to 100%, out of the current nerfed base 50% factory productivity, tho i will have to do some research on how it pans out in games.

And as a general information, RP will probably start cutting out underperforming road features like some tree swaps or 3d models to try and claw back some performance. Not fully sure what is on the proverbial chopping block.

Will try to be smart and sane about this, but content will probably be limited going forwards to get some more frames.

I understand, however i find the quality level of the new road chinese tree severly lacking, especially with the PDX china rework on the horizon.

As an example, one of the ROC paths has Kuomintang set up free elections, Chiang and his Kuomintang can win said elections and then Kuomintang and Chiang proceed to dismantle the elections they just won.

A friend of mine has played the warlords paths and most of them are too long and undercooked in general.

I personally took the decision to not adopt that content unitil i see the upcoming PDX stuff. If the PDX stuff is worse, ill port in the china stuff.

Okay i found the issue. I started the game with my regular playset, which also included the regular version of road to 56, i didnt realize the RP version does now work without it.

It is possible the mod simply has not updated for you. Try unsubscribing and resubscribing to see if steam pulls the additional 1.2 gigs.

If that doesent work, try removing the RP folder manually by deleating the rp folder:
SteamLibrary/steamapps/workshop/content/394360/1875414471

and by removing the .mod file from the documents hoi4 folder
Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV/mod/ugc_1875414471.mod

Resubscribing after that should ensure a clean installation, if that doesent help, then i dont know.

Why were so many good features removed in the last patch? talking Govenrment Ideas, 10 dockyards on capital ships, different aircraft and tank modules, better rubber refineries and steel/alumium mills?? that was all that made this mod great. No real use for this mod now

how do i get rid of guarantees? im playing multiplayer with my friend and by default we set the guarantees to blocked but when i put blocked on it and load up a match it doesnt block guarantees and AI and players can still guarantee.

Hey, It seems if i play as Norway (With the vanilla dlc version in the mod) and demand lands from Denmark i don't receive, fyn, south jutland or bornholm? Which is odd since you get them in road to 56 and not in the submod? It also happens with Sweden, that is if they say yes to surrender of it's lands. Like jamtland, dalarna and bohuslan. They would still part of Sweden dispite them having said yes?

While if you are playing as any other scandinavian countrys and form like Scandinavia, Kingdom of Denmark-Norway and so on, you don't get highlight cores on Fyn, Bornholm? But, you get it on South Juntland! Same goes for one of the provinces in iceland, the eastern side of the island? Is there a way you can fix or work around it? Or is it just me who has this problem?

can you fix communist albania STILL submitting to italy? i was yugoslavia and i got albania into my faction through the coup decisions in the focus tree, and then they ended up getting annexed by italy anyway. there's literally no point in doing this if the AI will still accept being annexed which makes no sense lol. even the event still said it was king zog leading the country (it was obviously not)

For the people who's games have been crashing when Vichy France is created or sometime in 1940, I think I found the problem. I had the same issue, and I did some research online and found that Road to 56, not RP, used to crash due to a fighter model error. I bought the By Blood Alone DLC, which is the overhaul on planes, and my game no longer crashes a little after France capitulates or in 1940

Sadly, the issue is not visible on our side - We have multiple times played and tested the mod - and while recently we have caught some bugs of our doing, without your saves we cannot comprehend what leads to the crashes.

Most if not all R56 RP mods have insane desync/crashing issues. It sucks but I'd suggest just avoiding them
