I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but, why isn't the character editor option showing up for me? It doesn't show up in the crashlanding screen or in game.

On the mod compatibility, while it's more of a soft incompatibility in that it works through using other editors like Pawn Editor, as a workaround... Mods that add extra skills, like the one that adds Logic, Memory, and Focus, are mostly unaccessible on the window. No way to scroll or resize the window itself, so the skills get pushed and flooded down more into the psycast area. Likewise when this happens, the + and - buttons don't quite correspond to the correct skill.

Obviously I know this is more made with standard additions in mind, at most, but still figured I'd mention it. Especially if it might allow for an update that could help the issue.

The index values depend on the pawn. The size of the die and the active gender depend on the race. WARNING-
racial changes only last for one game session!

This character editor has been the bedrock of many of my playthroughs for years, and for that I cannot thank you enough! I have very recently come across a curious problem, though: If enough different character settings are in play (due to mods adding eye colors or the like) that they don't fit into the standard editor window anymore... then there is simply no scrollbar that would allow accessing anything beyond the range of the default UI. I am currently unable to edit the 'Torso' section of any character for this reason. Would this be trivial for you to fix, or is the issue more complicated under the hood than it looks?

There is a bug in the character editor. The memory of the room is confused. The 13 * 13 room displays a very narrow space+0, and the impressive kitchen displays an impressive entertainment room+3

@Spartan007 when you go into the Modsetting via the Modoptions menu, you can see all the pawn slots. There you can either copy them or press "set to default" which fully removes your saved pawn in that slot

With this, you technically could save more pawns in a seperate Text file and then paste them over to the pawn slots once needed.

For some reason pawns loaded in with this have invisible needs. They still have moods, but I can't see any of the contributing factors.

i also get "[[99] Exception filling window for CharacterEditor.CEditor+EditorUI: System.MissingFieldException: Field not found: System.Nullable1<UnityEngine.Color> RimWorld.Pawn_StoryTracker.favoriteColor Due to: Could not find field in class" erro on repeat every tick while the CE window is open... i have no idea what that means

its odd bc there are people here saying it doesnt work and ppl saying it does perfectly fine
mine works only half way - all the pop up screens like edit hair dont work but i can still change backstory by random dicing and edit skills but every tick there is an error code that caps at 99

Make sure you spawned the pawn as an "android"
I was doing it on mine recently
If you dont spawn it as an "android" properly
It resets genes on saving and loading that pawn

Mod seems to work just fine for me in 1.6.
Literally the only issue I've noticed is that the new genes added in 1.6 don't show up in character editor gene editor.

Yeah, I'll be switching to it for my first 1.6 playthrough as well.
Maybe by the time I'm finished with it, Character Editor will be fixed.

This mod is ESSENTIAL to all of my playthroughs.
And it's apparently RIDDLED with errors and bugs nowadays.

If I only install this mod and the front, there will be 99 error messages after the emergency landing. Moreover, both the work label below and the build label on the left are gone. What's going on here?

And they all work fine in my setup lol
I even have both prepare carefully and this active for other tests
Its also not an issue ive seen in the troubleshooting forums on the discord

its not about doing something stupid. its incompatible with some popular mods but not anyone of them have a warning. look at my previous comment and you will see it.

and i tried to delete all the mods + configs and it didn't worked. and this mod is so broken with oddesey rn you can actually see in the comments and reddit

Most of these issues look like someone accidently used the stupid def editor and didnt realize it
Deleting the mods config may fix most of thise

Hey, I've had an issue in 1.5 and again now in 1.6 regarding the pulse rifle. Every other weapon works, but for some reason the pulse rifle doesn't.

got an issue with some bodytypes. for some reaons a pawn with the hulk bodytype will instantly revert if changed. both in character creation and in game itself.

(clarification) I mean copying the personality in a similar way that the skills can be copied over, rather than some weird new interface for pawns to pawns specifically

Is there an existing way to copy a personality (from Psychology (unofficial) v1.1-1.6 ) from one pawn to another? If not, that's okay, but it'd be a nice feature. Regardless, there's still the workaround of doing it manually, so it's not a huge priority. Thanks for the mod!

there are several bugs here with changing pawn apperance. changing body typåe does not stick and pops change skin colour upon reloading and go back to their older body type. my formerly all white colony is not black and orange

I've been trying to edit a weapon to change it's recipe but for some reason Advanced Components, Components, Steel and Plasteel are missing from the choices of ingredients. Basically there's a couple hundred other stuff except those items. Anyone else see this issue and if so any fix to that?

You can use the +/- icon and/or click on the numeric value of the skill itself in order to input the desired value yourself, directly.

It does, but you must reload the save. As VOID said before, "seems that the game is caching even more values in 1.6", perhaps for performance reasons.

Hello! I just made some custom enemy redcoats and I want to ask if there is a way to get them from the custom pawn list from the "load pawn slot" to the dev menu (spawn pawn)? I really would like to add it to my dev palette. Thank you

I can only use the xenotype editor for some reason. Wasn't there a feature that allowed you to directly add or remove points for each spawn's specific skill.
