really interested to see what is possible around xuzamaki's idea - would certainly allow Germany to achieve some level of penetration into Soviet territory without having to force additional structural limits - regardless of what works out... xuzamaki - you know that's actually an idea worth trying, Soviets were not ready for the attack historically, and it would certainly help with the current game (in)balance.

RT56 - probably not, mostly due to techs, but try experimenting with load order, maybe it would work if RT is loaded after this mod.

Can you make it so the Soviet ai doesnt have its whole army on the German border in 1941/isn’t ready for the German attack by making it less aware of the German preparation to attacks and garrison its city more

Yes it is, AI considers it superior to any fighter, wheter that's true or not. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to reduce or at least regulate their production... Since it's a GoT feature handled separately from normal aircraft designs where I can setup what is 'good' and what is not. Once the AI researches motherships (which is very random), they'll switch to them.

Is it normal for the AI to be obsessed with Mothership Aircrafts? They put most of their factories into producing those instead of regular aircraft such as Fighters. I don't know if Mothership Aircrafts are THAT good, but i don't think they can beat regular Fighters in Air Superiority

Light tanks? Like after ww2? That shouldn't be possible, I've made the AI actually stop light tank production altogether once they get to T-34. I hope it's not some negative value overflow xD

A bug where Sov would produce a lot of light tanks in the later years instead of medium or modern tanks.

That happens if Germany doesn't train enough units in time (some focuses require certain army size). I've seen it, but it's very rare. It also doesn't really affect the war (it doesn't delay future war declarations), Phoney war is just a little shorter.

Bug report? The German AI in my games is taking a while to declare war on Poland and are usually doing it around November to December 1939. Is this happening to someone else?

I fixed problem. Before launch the game I gave x2 buff for Soviet Union and I have another question. I can't see germans in Libya and I don't know why but Italy only holding Ethiopia. Can't you fix this? Btw I am appreciated because you fixed operation torch. Thanks a lot...

Or just load an earlier save and try again. Sometimes the German AI gets lucky and encircles a lot of Soviet Divisions and pushes very far. It's really random, other times they can get stuck just a few states away from the initial border and people then complain that Germany is too weak. xD

I see, Devs should implement that in vanilla. Is there any way to modify Turkey on Historical so they join the Allies but do not participate in an offensive fashion outside of their home territory? There are many counties that joined one of the factions but did not fully participate. HOI4 has a major problem with every country joining a faction and then acting like they are a world superpower and sending their armies all over the world.

In vanilla they just join the Allies in 1943 no matter what. This is ahistorical, they joined 1945 and only after Germany was basically already collapsing. They did not fight in ww2 in any relevant capacity.

In the mod there are certain conditions that the AI checks, basically:
1) If Allies are winning and it's 12/1944+ it goes the Allies path
2) If Axis is winning and it's 5/1945+ it goes the Axis path
3) If neither is winning they won't do any further focuses and remain neutral (unless attacked ofc)

It requires historical focus on.

#donald.grape I have never observed such issue and I've done dozens of AI-only runs with my mod. No idea. Also this mod doesn't make any substantial changes pre-1939 beside making Germany attack 3 months later and having slightly different templates and more tanks.

#Riekopo - that has always been the case with 1939 scenario. I think it's because all countries start with some equipment deficit, and generally a bit smaller armies. So they don't have anything 'to spare'. That's why I buffed China a lot. It still loses from time to time though.

China doesn't seem to be getting any Lend Lease support from anyone and seems to be performing kinda bad against Japan. This is with the 1939 start and Balanced industry setting.

WIth your mod, Germany has real trouble getting past BeNeLux. It's not unusual for Italy to take France before the Germans do.

AI is much better, the Force Concentration really helps Germany, they can kill Poland faster than me and Barbarossa isn't a WW1 simulator anymore. :)) But it seems to be having some difficulties with the MEFO bills and running out of PP, that's what I'll try to improve. They often end up stuck in Extensive conscription and no manpower.

Nice, good to know. Germany has become quite differently and i'm still getting used to it myself, especially now with the research stuff. Still have no idea how the AI is performing as Germany as i bring a few mods to get a better Historical game

Also it will take me longer than usual to update this and get everything working again, because so many of the things changed with the latest patch.
(And I have to first re-learn Germany myself lol)

I've uploaded a new mod version, -per update notes- if you encounter CTDs while using this mod, I recommend starting a new game (not loading a save), that fixes the issue. The latest war effort patch made changes to a game file this mod needs and it made the game unstable. Unfortunately saved games keep the original and it causes problems...
