thx

This one worked wonders in my Actros 2019! I couldn't get the full power out of the engine with other transmissions

@KOSOONG: you'll find plenty of tutorials on YouTube on how to edit your engines for ETS2 or ATS. Pretty easy stuff...
KOSOONG May 28, 2023 @ 10:13pm
how can i find engine file?
BananaShake Dec 2, 2022 @ 11:49pm
Help i dont see the transmission mod in my scania r (rjl)
StaticTM  [author] Nov 22, 2021 @ 12:11am
@MisterVoltas: that line is found inside some engine files, not in all of them and it is related to automatic gear shifting, not with top speed! In order to go faster than 90 km/h, you need to disable the truck limiter in "Options/Gameplay".
Mister Voltas Nov 21, 2021 @ 9:45pm
searched for "rpm_range_high_gear:" but there is no file with this in it... but i still cant go over 90....
StaticTM  [author] Oct 4, 2021 @ 9:34am
*IMPORTANT note: In order for this gearbox to work in "automatic" or "real automatic" mode, as it was intended, you need to go to the file of the engine that you currently use and delete this data:

# RPM Data
rpm_range_high_gear: (xxxx, yyyy)

Good

This mod is great dude!

cool thanks

@Da_MLG_man: all vanilla trucks and a few modded trucks... for the modded read the description.
Da_MLG_man May 29, 2021 @ 9:26am
What trucks does this work with?
StaticTM  [author] Jan 18, 2021 @ 3:41pm
@~LaGGeRFeeD~: It's done, but I had no way to test the gearboxes. Please do it for me... I want you to confirm if we have 1300 rpm at 90 km/h in the 24th gear! Can you do that?
If we don't, I'll have to modify the differential ratio to achieve that rpm target. Remember, the recommended tires are R315/70!
StaticTM  [author] Dec 5, 2020 @ 12:07pm
@~LaGGeRFeeD~ I'll do it when I'll find some time... :)

Please add support for RJL's Scania R and T series if possible, I'd really appreciate that. :)

Transmission sounds are now compatible with v1.39!

@gurevich No plans to do mods for ATS... sorry for the belated answer!
gurevich Mar 21, 2020 @ 2:50am
feedback is always good to give to the author. Besides, you're talking about VNL670, it's in ATS; the gearbox is planned for ATS too (mod transfer) or you have to look for a dedicated mod? Whatever it is, excellent gearbox.
StaticTM  [author] Mar 20, 2020 @ 4:31pm
@gurevich Thanks! :)
gurevich Mar 10, 2020 @ 9:46am
very efficient gearbox; in automatic start on 13 (empty) or 5/6 depending on the load; efficient enough to avoid losing speed too quickly uphill with a load of more than 50 tonnes.

Thanks good mod, I made a video here https://youtu.be/SGvutCGizXc

You don't need to switch each one of the first 12 gears. I usually start with the 6th following by 10th and than 14th gear, 16th, 18th and so on. Only after the 21st gear you need to switch one by one. Switching gears by one step is only necessary when you climb steep mountains or any other irregular terrain that has a deep impact over your cruising speed, slowing your truck drastically. That's when this gearbox shines, it helps you limit a lot the loss of speed in those particular conditions.

There is no such thing as a synchro or nonsynchro when you design a gearbox mod in ETS2 (at least I don't know about it... this is my first mod). You can only switch to whatever you want from the game settings/console. I made this with both in my mind. Right now I'm using synchro because I want to use my clutch pedal, but this may be subject to change in the future. When you select real automatic, you can choose the economy mode, but there is not much of a fuel consumption difference between that and my style of gear shifting...
Dreisatztony Dec 27, 2018 @ 10:41am
The argument for non-synchronized would be, according to Wikipedia: "For the reasons of engineering a dependable, longer-life piece of equipment, these machines often use non-synchronous transmissions."
But shifting the first 12 gears would be ass without synchto mesh. And this transmission costs a lot of money.
Dreisatztony Dec 27, 2018 @ 10:33am
Also, even with double clutching you need to match up rev and truck speed. Double clutching works fine for me on ATS. I got the hang of it. A hit and miss when I began.
Thing is, I don't want to switch synchro on and off on ETS2 when changing trucks. Those cheaper English-Chinese 16 speed transmissions have synchro mesh, but why not American transmissions?
Dreisatztony Dec 27, 2018 @ 9:27am
Also I'm practiced with non-synchronous shifting and floating from American Truck Simjlator.
Dreisatztony Dec 27, 2018 @ 9:24am
I know that synchronized is default, so there's no need for me to change for sychro. I wanted to know whether this transmission is desinged with synchromesh or not. But since this transmission seems to be fictional, it doesn't matter. With your point on how much fuel consumption it generates, it implies that it's automatic only and thus real. I mean with manual you have full control on your fuel consumption. Not mentioned here. By the way, did you have synchro or non-synchro in mind when you made this mod?
StaticTM  [author] Dec 27, 2018 @ 8:48am
@ 抜刀隊員 [Battoutai-in] ... for me is a lot of fun manually shifting this 24+4 gearbox, especially with the 380 HP engines. Also, you can both use synchronized (g_hshifter_synchronized 1) or un synchronized (g_hshifter_synchronized 0) gearbox. Remember that when you disable synch, you can only float gears, you cannot double clutch (at least I couldn't find a way to do it)!
Dreisatztony Dec 26, 2018 @ 7:51pm
Since it's custom does it come with manual shifting forks for manual shifting option (Does it make sense to manually shift this thing in the game)? As in in 6 gears hi lo and H&L unless this thing has over 4 reverse gears.
Also, is this thing synchronized if it's usable for manual shifting?
