Hello!
First off, great mod! Thank you!
Secondly,
There's a couple of little bugs with the Bloodline that the mod adds. Because base game does not have erudite_opinion and mystic_opinion as allowed modifiers due to them missing from the 00_modifier_definitions.txt file in the modifier_definitions folder the bonuses to those things from the bloodline dont work. To fix this you should make your own little modifier definitions file inside the mod.
Adding entries for the missing modifiers such as:
mystic_opinion = {
show_as_percent = no
is_good = yes
is_monthly = no
is_hidden = no
max_decimals = 0
}
And of course you need to create the localization for it aswell.
Also the arabic_opinion = 5 is not working for the same reason.

Doing a variant start at the duchy level as a Levantine muslim that secretly converts to Hellenic after marriage. The idea is to get the cult going while still patronizing the Hellenic sites to keep them going. The idea is to get some underground support while putting a Hellenic in as court tutor. Difficult path no matter how you cut it and a generation in it was fun to be a Hellenic that kept out of factional conflicts and defended the Arabian Empire and actually got another duchy for that work! Stabbing them in the back when Arabians got stuck in 3 wars at once was perhaps unkind, but they were willing to write me off as their ruler was a lunatic. Its a game of opportunism wedged between two empires...

@Lancelot007 Hmm... I think I did originally consider that for the mod overall, but decided against it at first since I interpreted Assyrian much more narrowly, and felt Levantine Arabic worked better as a catch all for various Semitic speakers in the region. But if we take the Assyrians in vanilla as representative of Aramaic speakers in general, then I can see it working. I'll have to think it over.
Lancelot007 Aug 26, 2019 @ 8:59pm
I think it's Assyrian culture, it seems logical with the context. I use SWMH with local language localisation, so.
cybrxkhan  [author] Aug 26, 2019 @ 6:10pm
@Lancelot007 I looked up the SWMH code, and there's only one culture in the Aramaic culture, Assyrian - I don't see any other culture. Would it be Assyrian? Like I mentioned with kindjal83 below SWMH separates Harran and Edessa province and I haven't really figured out how to handle it since it'll be more complicated in the code.
Lancelot007 Aug 25, 2019 @ 6:44pm
Hello ! Great job again ! Like for the Peloponnese, I've found a mistake due to compatibility. On the SWMH, it's more historical that the counties and pagan characters aren't Levantine Arabic but something Aramaean (I forgot the name of specific aramaean culture). Thanks for your work !
Mr Fast Aug 11, 2019 @ 9:42pm
Yo, in case anyone is curious those hellenic coa are actually from ancient religions reborn.
Kindjal83 Jul 21, 2019 @ 1:05pm
Indeed! It is the province of Al-Ruha. Glad to be of service. I also enjoy a lot your other mods! Playing as Almafi is a blast now, and the Pelopponesus province is more enjoyable!
cybrxkhan  [author] Jul 21, 2019 @ 12:45pm
@kindjal83 I think I know what's the issue then - SWMH has a separate province for Harran (whereas in vanilla Harran and Edessa are the same province), which I haven't figured out a way to handle since it'd be more complicated to account for compared to my Immersion Packs. Thanks for bringing that up, I'll need to add it to the description.
Kindjal83 Jul 21, 2019 @ 12:17pm
Yes, I'm in control of the whole county,and in 867 AD. I'm using HIP with SWMH. Maybe that is the issue. Althought, your "event monogatari.117" does work.
cybrxkhan  [author] Jul 21, 2019 @ 11:11am
@Kindjal83 Are you playing in the 936 start date? It only works for the 769 and 867 start dates. If you *are* playing those start dates, make sure that you do control the County of Edessa, and that you are not playing with alternative religions or cultures. As a last resort, when the game starts for you as the Emir of Edessa, try typing in "event monogatari.117" in the console to trigger it manually.
Kindjal83 Jul 21, 2019 @ 10:26am
The event to become "Count of Edessa" as Thabit ibn Qurra doesn't appears, as I'm player the Emir of Edessa. All else works, the province become Helenic, I can sponsor the Neo-Platonistic Academy, but the event to play as Thabit doesn't trigger.
cybrxkhan  [author] Jul 13, 2019 @ 9:50pm
Hello all, to go alongside with the release of my Amalfian Immersion Pack (which will be up shortly), I just posted a small update for the mod that includes a few tweaks and bugfixes, including a new game rule to prevent the removal of the Temple of the Moon and Neoplatonic Academy, basic compatibility with ACR, and more.

Additionally, I've added a link to a guide to the Harranian Immersion Pack for any interested, which you can see here [docs.google.com]!
Monarch Feb 10, 2019 @ 4:19pm
Ah, thank you for the quick response.
cybrxkhan  [author] Feb 9, 2019 @ 10:20pm
@Thoutinator: For the 769 and 867 bookmarks, yes, you will need Charlemagne and Old Gods respectively.

@Jvoss123vv: It only focuses on Hellenic pagans specifically in the province of Edessa, where Harran is, though nothing's stopping you from conquering your way from Greece to Edessa to get access to the mod's added mechanics obviously. However, you can still get Harranian courtiers as long as you are in the Mesopotamian/Levant region regardless of religion. It is completely compatible with the Peloponnesian mod.
Monarch Feb 9, 2019 @ 6:06pm
Does this mod offer anything for Hellenic pagans outside of the Muslim world? And is it compatible with your other Hellenic mod focusing more on the Greek/Byzantine Empire Hellenic aspect?
Thotinator Feb 7, 2019 @ 11:27am
Do I need a DLC for the bookmarks?
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 29, 2019 @ 6:17pm
@TurtheShroom This mod is not related to WTWSMS per se. However, I have sort of collaborated with WTWSMS before as a lot of my reboot of VIET Events relies on their work, and they have integrated some of my work in the past, and they may integrate my newer stuff too, but only as they see fit.
TurtleShroom Jan 29, 2019 @ 3:53pm
How does this Mod relate to "When the World Stopped Making Sense"? The Platonic Academy is part of that game. This Mod would work wonders for continuing the legacies.
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 28, 2019 @ 5:21pm
@Kaiser Waffle: Nah, that was just a coincidence. I used to be a part of HIP years ago anyways lol.
Kaiser Waffle Jan 28, 2019 @ 4:37pm
lol is the fact that this is also HIP a snub to the other HIP ?
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 27, 2019 @ 10:52pm
For those of you who may be interested, I just released my second Immersion Pack revolving around the Peloponnese. You can download it here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1637884227
Cornelius Knox Jan 23, 2019 @ 8:40am
ok, i will check it...thank you very much
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 23, 2019 @ 8:26am
@General Hux: I believe as long as everyone has the mod it should be fine.
Cornelius Knox Jan 23, 2019 @ 2:00am
can you play this mod in multiplayer?
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 20, 2019 @ 11:22pm
Wasn’t originally planning to, but I added new stuff and got carried away. I will NOT be adding any more except to fix any bugs, as I'll move on to my next Immersion Packs.

New features include:

- Music
- Harranian bloodline
- Book artifacts made by your Harranian courtiers (so they’re not useless),
- Most importantly, the ability to play as Thabit ibn Qurra or his great-grandfather via start up events at the 867 and 769 start dates respectively IF you select to play as the Emir of Edessa. It includes an in-depth RPG-esque event chain to set up the Thabits’ starting condition.

See the changelog for a more detailed list of changes. I’ve also added new screenshots to show some of the new features. Tomorrow I will add a spoiler-y brief guide to the CYOA at the beginning of the game if you choose to play as Thabit ibn Qurra or his great-grandfather.

(Also, got a CTD while uploading this update for some reason, if there's anything weird please do tell me!)
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 19, 2019 @ 10:59am
Also heads up to everyone but I will likely be releasing a big update to this mod sometime this weekend, assuming all goes well as v2 is mostly tested and almost good to go.
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 19, 2019 @ 10:03am
@Marquis Should be fine. Of course, I'll suggest saving your game before you do just to be safe. Do note however that the way the mod is coded, the hidden event that sets up most of the mod's features will not trigger if you're running an existing save as it only fires at the beginning of a new game - you will have to manually trigger it yourself by typing "event monogatari.100" in the console.
Margus Jan 19, 2019 @ 8:59am
Is this safe to add to a exist save?
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 13, 2019 @ 9:35pm
@Stealth No, doesn't touch that. If you're refering to the changed COAs in the screenshots, that's from the Patrum Scuta mod.
Stealth Jan 13, 2019 @ 7:43pm
does your mod change the muslim coas?
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 7, 2019 @ 10:00pm
@IrrelevantBrett: Yeah I was just posting a new update about 10 minutes ago but forgot that Steam in its infinite wisdom turns it hidden for some reason but it should be fine now
𝖆𝖇𝖘𝖊𝖓𝖘𝖊 Jan 7, 2019 @ 9:56pm
I know this question isn't about this mod, but why was the flavor events mod just taken down? I had just subscribed and I go to look in my mods list and it wasn't there. So I tried going to the page, but it says it was taken down. Are you updating it or something?
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 6, 2019 @ 4:48pm
@spectre9924 If that's the case then I'm beat and the only thing I can suggest is maybe wait a day or two before trying to download again, I have had some similar situations with other mods on the workshop for other games before so I'll just chalk it up to Steam's weirdness.
spectre9924 Jan 5, 2019 @ 5:58pm
Thank you both! Unfortunately neither have worked and I've been able to download other mods. Only this mod and VIET are not working
GobStopper Jan 4, 2019 @ 10:15am
@spectre9924 Check your steam settings for if you have steam cloud enabled, you need that enabled if you want to download mods. Otherwise restart steam.
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 3, 2019 @ 10:56pm
@spectre9924 That's probably an issue with your Steam then. Try unsubscribing, restarting Steam, and then re-subscribing. If that doesn't work, try restarting your computer. That usually works for me when I encounter this issue with Steam workshop content.
spectre9924 Jan 3, 2019 @ 7:21pm
Won't download
cybrxkhan  [author] Jan 1, 2019 @ 10:30pm
@General Hux: He should be in the court of the Abbasid Caliph. If not, you can try searching for his name in the character finder. If I recall he has the genius and scholar traits. Also remember he only appears in the 867 start.

@No Name; The subtitle for the Socotra mod is actually "Isle of Dragon's Blood," so I am aware of that. :) The unique goods from Socotra will be one of the major recurring elements of the mod so far as I've planned it.
No Name Jan 1, 2019 @ 8:30pm
When you make the Socotra immersion mod is there any chance of getting anything related to the trees that grow there?

Article one the trees:

Article on the tree's sap that is called dragon's blood.

thanks for the quick responce...happy new year to you and your family, any idea how i can find and summon Thabit ibn qurra? i did not find the requermants but you say its is there in historical files so i bet he can be summoned or existind somewhere anyway...any help would be appreciated
cybrxkhan  [author] Dec 31, 2018 @ 10:14pm
Just a heads up to everyone, but in the near future I'll be releasing an update for the Harranian Immersion Pack, which includes a number of new features. In particular, by popular demand, the update will feature the ability to switch to playing a Count-level ruler of Edessa via event: Thabit ibn Qurra (the famous Abbasid scholar) for the 867 start, and his great-grandfather Thabit ibn Kabaya for the 769 start. Screenshots:

@General Hux: I think I'll try to implement the Academy increasing the chances of getting Harranian scholars with better stats the more you support it. The historical persons such as Thabit ibn Qurra are actually in the game history files, the mod does however spawn fictional Harranian characters at the game start to fill things out a bit.
Cornelius Knox Dec 30, 2018 @ 6:57pm
your work is amazing you start something i wanted to do but i have no idea of modding events and stuff like that i have only a few suggestions to make if you have the time to do them of course...

when you patronize the academy the technology bonus become bigger and bigger (200 max so not become to op of anyone has the academy to his control) and make it spawn periodicaly learning people (physhicians, priest, mystics, scrolars) with greek or levantine culture and Hellenic Pagan religion, i dont know how the temple works but it can spawn priest as well (piety bonus are great) , i see you have a few historical persons in events but i dont know how i can make them spawn without commands 5/5 and favorite for this tresure..i will watch it closely
cybrxkhan  [author] Dec 30, 2018 @ 5:31pm
@No Name: Atm, the Peloponnese and Socotra are next on my to-do list. Nothing planned for Cyprus or Iceland, though I do have a few ideas for a Greenland/Vinland Immersion Pack (no map expansion, just some events and stuff like that) which will most directly impact Iceland for obvious reasons.

@General Hux: I realized my description is wrong (I''ll fix it), but at the moment patronizing the Academy doesn't increase the chances of getting a Harranian courtier, it just improves the likelihood you'll get a Harranian courtier with better stats. However I will be rolling out an update to this in a few days that'll tweak this a bit, including a tweak where the Patronizing the Academy will increase the chances of getting a courtier if you don't have one.
Cornelius Knox Dec 30, 2018 @ 4:56pm
how many times i need to pay the academy in order for a character to spawn?
No Name Dec 30, 2018 @ 2:52pm
Since you are doing immersion packs. What are your plans for your next one? Maybe something for Yemen, Iceland, or Cyprus?
cybrxkhan  [author] Dec 28, 2018 @ 6:07pm
@General Hux: You can patronize the Neoplatonic Academy in Harran no matter your culture or religion, though if you're Hellenic Pagan the bonus will be bigger. No plans to have a feature to restore the academy to Constantinople to Athens.

@KvK Thank you!
KvK Dec 28, 2018 @ 10:36am
Very interesting, looking forward to whatever else you come up with!
Cornelius Knox Dec 28, 2018 @ 12:51am
neoplatonic academy?? :') you are a hero i always wanted it...can you patronize it as a greek king or emperor? i want to restore it in athens you know :D
cybrxkhan  [author] Dec 26, 2018 @ 10:18am
@Etruscan Glad to be of service! This mini-mod is more a proof of concept so it's not that deep, but I hope it will provide an interesting scenario if you want to do a secret pagan run in Edessa or try to conquer your way to Edessa as a Hellenic pagan before c. 900 when the Temple and the Academy disappear.
