First off, great mod! Thank you!
Secondly,
There's a couple of little bugs with the Bloodline that the mod adds. Because base game does not have erudite_opinion and mystic_opinion as allowed modifiers due to them missing from the 00_modifier_definitions.txt file in the modifier_definitions folder the bonuses to those things from the bloodline dont work. To fix this you should make your own little modifier definitions file inside the mod.
Adding entries for the missing modifiers such as:
mystic_opinion = {
show_as_percent = no
is_good = yes
is_monthly = no
is_hidden = no
max_decimals = 0
}
And of course you need to create the localization for it aswell.
Also the arabic_opinion = 5 is not working for the same reason.
Additionally, I've added a link to a guide to the Harranian Immersion Pack for any interested, which you can see here [docs.google.com]!
@Jvoss123vv: It only focuses on Hellenic pagans specifically in the province of Edessa, where Harran is, though nothing's stopping you from conquering your way from Greece to Edessa to get access to the mod's added mechanics obviously. However, you can still get Harranian courtiers as long as you are in the Mesopotamian/Levant region regardless of religion. It is completely compatible with the Peloponnesian mod.
New features include:
- Music
- Harranian bloodline
- Book artifacts made by your Harranian courtiers (so they’re not useless),
- Most importantly, the ability to play as Thabit ibn Qurra or his great-grandfather via start up events at the 867 and 769 start dates respectively IF you select to play as the Emir of Edessa. It includes an in-depth RPG-esque event chain to set up the Thabits’ starting condition.
See the changelog for a more detailed list of changes. I’ve also added new screenshots to show some of the new features. Tomorrow I will add a spoiler-y brief guide to the CYOA at the beginning of the game if you choose to play as Thabit ibn Qurra or his great-grandfather.
(Also, got a CTD while uploading this update for some reason, if there's anything weird please do tell me!)
@No Name; The subtitle for the Socotra mod is actually "Isle of Dragon's Blood," so I am aware of that. :) The unique goods from Socotra will be one of the major recurring elements of the mod so far as I've planned it.

@General Hux: I think I'll try to implement the Academy increasing the chances of getting Harranian scholars with better stats the more you support it. The historical persons such as Thabit ibn Qurra are actually in the game history files, the mod does however spawn fictional Harranian characters at the game start to fill things out a bit.
when you patronize the academy the technology bonus become bigger and bigger (200 max so not become to op of anyone has the academy to his control) and make it spawn periodicaly learning people (physhicians, priest, mystics, scrolars) with greek or levantine culture and Hellenic Pagan religion, i dont know how the temple works but it can spawn priest as well (piety bonus are great) , i see you have a few historical persons in events but i dont know how i can make them spawn without commands 5/5 and favorite for this tresure..i will watch it closely
@General Hux: I realized my description is wrong (I''ll fix it), but at the moment patronizing the Academy doesn't increase the chances of getting a Harranian courtier, it just improves the likelihood you'll get a Harranian courtier with better stats. However I will be rolling out an update to this in a few days that'll tweak this a bit, including a tweak where the Patronizing the Academy will increase the chances of getting a courtier if you don't have one.
@KvK Thank you!
