hihi first off wanted to say i love the mod im a huge halo nerd so being able to play it in arma is super fun, i do have a few issues as minor as they are, elites and jackles (possible other enemies too) are hyper aware even when using stealth they just see you, they one tap you no matter what weapon they use unless ur a spartan and elites are near impossible to kill, now these issues are minor the real issue im having is i play this with antistasi and its difficult but fun that is until an elite surrenders but doesnt actually surrender he just takes his armor off and runs at you blasting you with his gun and your ai dont shoot back because he counts as a surrendered combatant idk if thats a problem on antistasis end or not and was wondering if you knew of anything to help with this, any help would be appreciated and again great mod absolutely love it ^-^

is there any way for the scarabs to move?

also with this mod on or any OPTRE mods the whole starting in spectator is broken like when i start in spectator it puts me in my dude with spectator ui and i have to press esc and spectate twice to actualy get to real spectator and when there is no player charecter the camera just floats where it was in the editor and going back to the editor sends the camera all the way out to sea

@Bacta Juice Ye just keep trying, All the ground vics are honestly designed with the intent of AI Can drive it, that goes hand in hand with trying to make it lore accurate as well, SO it does get dodgy some times and ya just gotta figure out the flow

You need about 10 hits to shot anybody down but enemy needs one hit ti kill you.
Nearly all weapons have the same low damage.
No Weapon sway reduction by setting a weapon on it's bipod.
Maybe a good idea but too many issues to have fun.:steamthumbsdown:

Covenant mortars dont have access to their own ammo and wont load it, but they can load normal mortar ammo for some reason?

I don't know how this happens, but ACE does not allow you to kill scarabs. The core simply takes no damage.

covenant units are fighting eachother for some reason when theyre on the same side. spawned either by eden or in zeus, and happens to both wbk and regular units. any known incompatible mods? ima test stuff but i have many mods so itll take a while

FOR OTHER SPARTAN ENJOYERS:
Reach out if you'd like the files to fix the Mark VI armors and helmets yourself in the meantime, this file also includes class names for Human Skeleton Spartan gear and OPCOS First Contact Elites (this is a seperate mod, and it has been abandoned so some of the armors look weird), so you can play any op as with spartan features, and have extra variety in Elite color/ranks

FOR THE DEVELOPERS:
Hello! I noticed that a decent amount of the Mark VI armor that was added (it's so sexy btw), and the Mark VI helmets were not working properly with Powered MJOLNIR..It is a pet peeve of mine when people jump on the comments to say "please add X" or "Fix X plz" when you guys do this for free.. So I combed through and found the issues with all the helmets, and vests not working properly and fixed them. If you're interested message me on Discord and I can send over the file for you. All I ask in return is you make me a set of Hayabusa armor with the sword ;) jk anyway, I hope this helped you guys!

@Kindablackishpanther Glad to hear you like it, Scarabs operate like they do in H3, you can use high explosives to damage the legs and if you get all 4 it will die, Or you can board it and find the core and kill it with anything rifle+

Epic must download mod. The Scarabs seem unkillable for the moment, still very fun to play against and scary but dont seem to be able to be killed by any conventional fire.

@rwl2000rwl Antistasi does not come included with the mod.It is separate.Playing as the covenant depends on how the antistasi mission is set up.

What was changed regarding the Mark VI Human armor? Trying to equip it throws up a No entry error for its item container class, and I can no longer store any equipment in it.

Hey guys, when I go to 'external view' while piloting the Spirit dropship, I cannot maneuver the mouse around (while in Unit Play recording to land troops). Can you guys have a look/ or an updated fix?

@Mr. Avoopa That is because you are using the Human Skeleton, Make sure you are using the spartan one, To get the spartan one, Go into EDEN and place down a Spartan unit just like a normal human, Set as playable and then load into that slot.

Umm... my spartan armors are bugged, why is off the character? Like... DOWN INTO THE PELVIS? including the helmet, isn't fitting on the character :|

The covenant weapons in this mod are in desperate need of a sub-mod or config option to tone down their damage values

The plasma rifle, which is a one-handed full auto weapon that can be dual wielded in the game, and, takes multiple shots to kill a basic marine, is, able to 1-shot someone in ODST armour (With ACE mind you, so, that may be the reason, but, still...)

@Gwyndolin Not exactly sure what you mean by this? Specifically

@Salem You are able to drive the scarab yes, You just have to be a player sittin in the seat, Which I don't think you can assess outside of a zeus teleport.

@Legendkiller456 There is always a consideration to add all HALO assets, However at this time there isn't one. Like stated obviously the 1st MEU Aux mod has one, But yea if you don't want to use ace then obviously you can't.

Not by default. There's another mod that adds them, but you need ACE and I don't want to use it just for Phantoms.

I'm not getting an option to run First Contact in the launcher, like the campaign text says I should. Hopefully this is just user error. I've been having an issue with the 1st MEU mod too, I commented on their page. Hopefully I can get these things figured out. I appreciate the work you guys do!! I know it must be tough. I really want to play this, but I'm honestly about to give up after spending an hour trying to figure things out and being unable to really find any info. I figured I would comment and see if you'd reply, as a last ditch effort.

For the MEU mod, I'm getting a thing saying Muzzle compatible items are missing and the game won't load. uninstall that, game launched, got more error popups, saying it couldnt load the UNSC Pistol or something, idk. I know that stuff is likely not your domain, since it's related to other mods. I'm just trying to give what info I have.if I go to the Campaigns section and click on First Contact, it wont even let me ATTEMPT to load it.

@Jimmy Gibbs Yes! Just like Halo 3, You can *in whatever means* Jump on the scarab, Go to the core and shoot at it until it is destroyed and goes into meltdown.

As well like the games if you simply destroy one leg, The scarab will lower down so you can jump on.

I cant get the scarab vehicles to move, but the front left leg twitches which makes me think that it's trying. i cant manually drive it when i try to it just spawns me as infantry walking around inside. am i missing something?

@Rylan unless you're talking about webknights covenant, elites, jackals,and spartans use default arma 3 ai. Same behaviour, same pathing, etc. However webknights covies work completely different from a3 AI, but that is not OPTRE.

I have manage to get the AI kind of working. They get stuck, and freeze a lot. And if they are too close together they just stop moving. it seems "doFollow" scripts break the group and the leader has to be killed to get them moving again. Additionally, randomizing their rotation and position a slight amount and setting their formation to "COLUMN" seems to help.

They never seem to move in formation. Elites spawned via zeus kind of stay in formation and follow way points. Idk, the path finding seems broken

@Ogata The locust doesnt drive, It is just a Turret so there will only be a gunner seat, As the the passenger that's probably a bug and isn't meant to be there

We’re running OPTRE First Contact as marines and got our hands on a locust but can’t seem to get into the driver seat, only gunner and passenger, is there a way to drive?

Anyone else feel like the damage tables on this mod are all messed up? I literally shot an elite minors 10 times with an M6D (Halo 1 pistol) and he was still standing. Would be a lot cooler if the shields took relatively similar to halo damage.

Hey, I have been having a issue where for some reason my dedicated sever keeps on failing to go up and the only thing I can find links back to this mod. I have yet to check to try without this mod but, it runs other modpacks and things just fine so I don't think its the server.

The issue that keeps appering in the logs is something about a missing OPTRE_loadorder thing that it says FC needs. Unsure if its just me being dumb but I will a part of the log if it helps any.

@Mr. Akinester I'm confused by the question. If you mean the eridanus insurrection mod, it was renamed to operation trebuchet basically, which is this one from the workshop.

If you mean operation trebuchet and operation trebuchet first contact. you need optre to use first contact as indicated in required addons. As for what optre and optre first contact are, it is explained in their workshop descriptions, just right above.
