@Omega13 Iill strike it since the update message explains it already
Omega13 Jul 26, 2021 @ 1:05am
If that is the case, you may want to change the first line of the description:

"Adds cannibal versions of all base and Vegetable Garden Project-meals."

The main picture also shows several base game cannibal meals, which can be misleading.
Mlie  [author] Jul 25, 2021 @ 11:31pm
@Omega13 This is just the VGP meals. You will need tje cannobal meals mod for the vanilla meals
Omega13 Jul 25, 2021 @ 10:42pm
For some reason cannibal versions of the base game meals are not showing up on my production list; vgp meals are showing up just fine.
Crokadilla Feb 6, 2021 @ 12:03pm
Oh you're right, the meals were spawned. Cooking them up normally appears to work as it should. Awsome, thanks! :) And sorry for the trouble.
Mlie  [author] Feb 6, 2021 @ 8:06am
@Crokadilla The should give the bonus as long as they contain human meat as ingredient. Bought and spawned meals often contain nothing so perhaps that is the issue?
Crokadilla Feb 6, 2021 @ 7:27am
Hi, I have noticed that when using this mod, Cannibals who eat these meals only get the mood benefits from eating a generic fine or lavish meal, instead of getting the huge mood bonuses from engaging in cannibalism that they normally would. Is this intended? I would've thought they would get the higher boost, or maybe even both since it is both a fine cooked meal and cannibalism. As it stands tho, I don't really see why I wouldn't just be using the base VGP mod instead. Kinda seems like they are just for show if they don't change anything other than the ingredients and some textures here and there. Anyway, if you could add this functionality or tell me how to configure it myself, I'd really appreciate it. My roving tribe of cannibals need some fancy food that also feeds their thirst for blood. :)

@Theos No coffee needed, I just do this for fun and mostly updates of other modders abandoned mods. :)
Kylo Aug 26, 2020 @ 12:38pm
Thank you! I saw you added the bulk meals in too!

Where can I send you a coffee to?
Mlie  [author] Aug 26, 2020 @ 11:39am
@Theos Okay, I have updated this mod. Wrote a news-item in game and added info in the description about the change. If you dont want to loose any existing vanilla-type cannibal meals in your save, subscribe to my other mod linked above as it uses the same meal-defs as this did but has support for other mods structures and races.
Kylo Aug 26, 2020 @ 10:47am
Sounds good to me! You're the expert though. Thanks so much for all your work on so many mods - you're a god send.
Mlie  [author] Aug 26, 2020 @ 10:14am
@Theos I was wondering if it would be simpler just to remove the simple-meals from this if the other mod is loaded. But I fear that they have the same def-names so perhaps I should just remove the vanilla stuff from this so you can have this along with the other mod instead. Sounds good?
Kylo Aug 26, 2020 @ 9:30am
Another thing I've noted is that with this enabled is that there are no bulk recipes for the cannibal VGP stuff.

An example, there is no salted human meat bulk recipe.

Also, crafted recipes like salted human meats can be used to craft other recipes as a meat - even themselves again.

If you have the time it would be great to have this added
Kylo Aug 21, 2020 @ 5:55pm
Please can you combine this mod with the other cannibal and insect meal mod that you re-uploaded?

They dont work exactly the same way, as I find that with the other mod I can see the simple/lavish meals in the gloomy kitchen mod (the 2x1 electric stove) but with this mod only I cannot see them.

And, if I load both mods I get a pink placeholder image
Mlie  [author] Mar 14, 2020 @ 12:54am
@Omega13 The mod has only support for vanilla human meat. Ill see if I can add support for various alien meats as well.
Omega13 Mar 13, 2020 @ 8:18pm
Does not seem to accept red oni meat from the "Kolra's Oni Race" mod. Not sure if other humanoid aliens are not usable; red oni is all i had handy.
Darius Mar 5, 2020 @ 6:26am
@Mile Thank you dude, you make life for us cannibals much easier

Updated for RimWorld 1.1

yummy
Mlie  [author] Oct 7, 2019 @ 1:10pm
Added kibble and updated the icons
Mlie  [author] Aug 16, 2019 @ 1:55pm
@I2ID Glad to hear that it works!
i2ID Aug 16, 2019 @ 12:43pm
aha right i have just realised it is only a visual bug.
yes the pawns will only pick up human meat.
I have tried making a bill for grilled human steak. it shows all ingredients available as if it is a regular non-canniibal simple meal. but when I have switch off all of the filters (including human meat) and told a pawn to cook they did it
when i forbit human meat in the stockpile on my map it said no ingredients available.
so it works but with visual bug only : )
Mlie  [author] Aug 16, 2019 @ 5:39am
@I2ID And the resulting meal does not have human meat inside?
Mlie  [author] Aug 15, 2019 @ 1:03pm
@I2ID The human meat is part of the required ingredients, not the list of allowed ingredients. StirFry for example has 4 Human_Meat and 4 PlantFoodRaw or CookingSupplies.
That means that the list of allowed ingredients is only for selecting the PlantFoodRaw or CookingSupplies part of the meal, the human meat is fixed and is always added.
i2ID Aug 15, 2019 @ 11:10am
yes definetly. in game and in code. I opened a discussion 30june but i guess steam doesnt actually give notifications for them :P
Mlie  [author] Aug 15, 2019 @ 1:19am
@I2ID Are you looking at the cannibal versions of the meals and not the normal versions?
i2ID Aug 15, 2019 @ 12:15am
I am not sure why but the VGP meals seem to filter out human meat by default. rather than disabling animal meats.
Mlie  [author] Jun 19, 2019 @ 12:10pm
@isavegas I cannot find references to Humanlike in recipies, do you have a working example from another mod I can take a look at perhaps?
Mlie  [author] Jun 16, 2019 @ 10:14am
@isavegas I was not aware that there was a "humanlike" category in the vanilla game. I will look into it when I have the time.
isavegas Jun 15, 2019 @ 8:32pm
Could you replace the reference with human meat with one to the humanlike meat category? When using mods that add other humanlike races, you aren't able to craft cannibal meals using their meats, even though the game considers the meat as cannibal. Thanks!
i2ID May 26, 2019 @ 7:17am
on the allowed ingredients for VGP meals (i.e stew, stir fry, burgers ) it has all meat types as allowed ingredients. It also has human meat disabled by default and other meat types enabled.

awsome mod though i like the main category for the food restrictions : )
Pablo Discobar Mar 12, 2019 @ 10:11am
Ah, now i see! I recall most times i had these were from random drops on the map and I automatically thought they had the Human Meat ingredient in them. Anyway thank you for clearing it up! Cheers.
Mlie  [author] Mar 12, 2019 @ 9:33am
@Shelby The only thing ive noticed is if the meals have spawned in some way (brought from caravans, drop pod etc.) they have no ingredients and since its the human meat in the meal that gives the debuff those meals will not give a debuff. But all cooked meals should give the debuff.
Pablo Discobar Mar 12, 2019 @ 7:16am
is there a version where the "cooked cannibalism" debuff still persists? or maybe a setting to enable that since i noticed non-cannibals do fine after eating one of these meals... :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
Mlie  [author] Jan 23, 2019 @ 1:03am
@Backfromthehell I have support for translations in the mod if you go to the non-steam version in the description. I have generated the xml-files for simplified Chinese, you are welcome to translate them and I will add them to the mod.
Backfromthehell Jan 22, 2019 @ 6:06pm
@Mlie Hello, I like this model very much. Can I be authorized to translate it into Chinese?
Mlie  [author] Dec 4, 2018 @ 7:12am
@da812manymonkey Glad to hear it!
da812manymonkey Dec 3, 2018 @ 6:58pm
Sorry for late reply. Work, school, social life, and game time are kicking my ass. This mod works great. Lots of fun from this one.
Mlie  [author] Nov 15, 2018 @ 11:37am
@da812manymonkey Never played Cosmic Horror but I made a version now. Can you check it out and see if its working as intended?

da812manymonkey Nov 14, 2018 @ 4:10pm
If only there was something like this to bridge Cosmic Horror with VG. Gourmet strange meals would be amazing. Maybe something like what VG does with Fishing. Anywho, I love this update.
MasonNasty Nov 6, 2018 @ 2:49pm
Awesome! Thank you Mlie
Mlie  [author] Nov 6, 2018 @ 11:04am
@SteveS @MasonNasty I did a non-VGP version now, https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1558455017
MasonNasty Nov 5, 2018 @ 6:42pm
+1 that non-vgp version idea
Mlie  [author] Oct 25, 2018 @ 1:32am
@SteveS I have an idea on how to create cannibal-versions of meals dynamically. Will look into that this weekend. Hopefully I can create cannibal versions of all meals with meat independent on witch mod adds them.
SBlack Oct 24, 2018 @ 4:48pm
A non-VGP would be really nice
Mlie  [author] Oct 20, 2018 @ 2:27pm
@Maaxar: I suppose that you can skip Gourmet and just ignore the errors on load. Not really sure if its possible to partially load XML-data. Ill look into it.
Maaxar Oct 20, 2018 @ 1:14pm
Is there any way to make this work with only base VGP (No Gourmet)? I don't usually play with Gourmet.
Mlie  [author] Oct 17, 2018 @ 11:04am
Updated version string. Still needs VGP but should work if force load VGP B19-version.
