It's likely because this mod is severely out of date with the current version of the game. It's unlikely I'll update it, since the modding tools are 2 years behind the current patch, sadly.

This mod is really cool and I have had thorough fun with it. The only weird thing is, you can't actually call in the combat engineers.

I'm happy that my mod was memorable enough for you to recognize that book! Thanks for the kind words. I probably should update the mod at some point to make sure it works with the newest version of the game. Happy holidays!

So, I'm at my grandma's house for Christmas and I noticed a book- "The Damned Engineers" by Janice Holt Giles. The name looked familiar thanks to your mod description; turns out it's also about the 291st.
