Same issue here. I tried manually deleting the Workshop folder and verifying the game files multiple times, but it just doesn't work. Maybe I should try again in a few days.

This is one of my favorite mods, kinda sad to play without it ;(

Thank you so much for making this amazing mod—really appreciate your hard work!

@Tyrant
I'm afraid there's no much I can do as this is an ongoing steam issue. The best thing I can suggest is to manually delete the mod folder then verify the game integrity that should hopefully fix the issue.
Tyrant Jul 14 @ 2:50pm
Same issue there is no 1.6 folder in the mods files.
BokChoy Jul 13 @ 2:56pm
I verified the game integrity, it fixed two other mods that werent updating to 1.6 on the game. Some reason this mod and one other arent updating to 1.6, and when i try to enable them my whole mod list disables. Very much appreciate the quick response tho.

@BokChoy
Probably because steam is being stupid lately and mucking up everyone's files. You can try manually deleting the mod folder and verifying the game integrity that should fix it. For this mod though it doesn't really matter unless its somehow managed to grab some very ancient version. The core files should be exactly the same and it should just pull from the 1.5 folder. It should correct itself at some point I think?
BokChoy Jul 13 @ 2:44pm
any idea why rimworld is saying the mod isnt version 1.6?
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Jul 12 @ 8:08pm
@oomfie
Yes it can be added or removed from saves without issue. However only filth generated after the mod is installed will be affected by its changes.
oomfie Jul 12 @ 8:00pm
can you add this to an existing save file?
DeepFakkas Jul 12 @ 12:58pm
Based modder, thank you for keeping the mod up to date!
Waddlehi Jun 18 @ 6:53pm
Hey, props to updating to 1.6 so soon. I don't know what it entails but thanks regardless.
LiterallyBeenVibing Jun 3 @ 2:39pm
fml, lovely mod tho.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Jun 3 @ 1:55pm
@LiterallyBeenVibing
This mod does not change weather in any way. That's simply RNG and the storyteller's hatred for you.
LiterallyBeenVibing Jun 3 @ 5:40am
does this mod make it rain more? it was a normal amount before then i added just this and this alone and now it rains like twice every day or itll be dry thunderstorms ever few in game hours, like just way too much.

Ohw, Regrowth, I'll see if I can add them back or not, I had other mods conflicting with this collection. Thanks for the quick answer !

I think the safest route will be to stay here with your great mod ^^

PS : what happened to my keyboard (because I won't complain over my own fingers, it would imply it's my fault xP), my previous comment is so wrong ! xD Thanks for reading it successfully !
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Mar 24 @ 2:42pm
@Daemon Trooper
I don't have any plans to do that sorry. As far as I recall Regrowth Core more or less does that with its implementation of this.
Daemon Trooper Mar 24 @ 2:38pm
HAve made a mod or an option to toggle which filth would or would not removed ? I would love a version where it's just "organic filth" that's removed by rain, the rest being too heave. (or maybe during stomr only, but that's something else)
If you don't have options do you know any mod doing that ?
Laquillare Sep 25, 2024 @ 12:53pm
Would you be willing to create a version that would allow us to edit the amount of days the filth washes away ourselves? Thank you for the great mod! :steamthumbsup:
Mask of Humble Sep 16, 2024 @ 7:54pm
Hmmm, I'm not sure really, I used only this mod and snow still doesn't disappear with snow, only rain. I get no error messages or anything
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Sep 16, 2024 @ 3:41pm
@Mask of Humble
As long as its unroofed blood should disappear with rain/snow even without this mod. If it's not, then another mod must have changed it for whatever reason. As for this mod as far as I'm aware the changes only apply to filth spawned after the mod is added.
Mask of Humble Sep 16, 2024 @ 3:36pm
Hmmm, it has been snowing heavily non-stop for about 12 days now and all the blood and filth is still there but if I go to a place where it rains the blood and filth vanishes after a day or two
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Sep 16, 2024 @ 3:15pm
@Mask of Humble
Filth will vanish when it rains or snows. If you want filth to disappear quicker when on snow I'm afraid that's out of my depth as I can't code. This mod simply makes use of the existing vanilla system which allows setting a duration and whether something vanishes with rain/snow.
Mask of Humble Sep 16, 2024 @ 3:09pm
Anyway you could make it where snow makes filth go away too? I play on snow maps a lot and would like for the blood in the snow to slowly disappear
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Aug 12, 2024 @ 4:09am
@🅾🅼🅸🅲🆁🅾🅽
The mod description should be rather clear on what this mod does. The vanilla game removes filth after 35-50 days, my mod shortens this to 14-15 days. Also in the vanilla game some types of filth wash away with rain/snow, my mod changes this so all types of filth wash away with rain/snow. Overall this mod is not necessary, however the changes it provides ensures filth as a whole will be removed a lot quicker especially when it rains/snows.

https://www.reddit.com/r/RimWorld/comments/1eoxdqu/hit_me_with_rimworlds_best_underrated_mods/ . --> Reddit seems to be under the impression that this mod isn't needed anymore with 1.5?
正義の味噌 Aug 8, 2024 @ 9:52pm
I mean I'm using a cleaning area mod that can set separate the cleaning area from the blue one (idk if it called life area or something). And I found a pawn cleaning area that is not assigned, which scared me:expression3: Later I found not all other regions are cleaned, and the part my pawn cleaning was indeed under roof, which reminds me of this mod:NekoPawLeft: It doesn't really affect too much tho :zagpls: Thx for the reply
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Aug 8, 2024 @ 9:40pm
@Burn ur mama to ash
This mod doesn't change any behaviour when it comes to cleaning. If you want to change how that functions you'll need another mod.
正義の味噌 Aug 8, 2024 @ 9:36pm
is this mod more prioritized than cleaning area mods:expression3:? My pawns would clean the unassigned area if it's under roof :P5R_Morgana:

@Vladimeow Purrtin
No worries, good to hear you worked it out.
Vladimeow Purrtin Aug 7, 2024 @ 3:36am
Found the culpit, it was desired path. I forgot i had that installed :steamfacepalm: Sorry for the confusion
Vladimeow Purrtin Aug 7, 2024 @ 2:52am
@FrozenSnowFox Thx for the reply, it helped clearing the confusion alot.
Maybe it's the problem with grazing land and fertile field altogether. But more testing is needed... Thanks again.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Aug 6, 2024 @ 10:52pm
@Vladimeow Purrtin
That's not coming from this mod. This mod is a simple xml patch and it only touches filth defs. You'll have to look through your mod list to see where its coming from. It sounds like you have some sort of terraforming mod that changes terrain with rainfall.
Vladimeow Purrtin Aug 6, 2024 @ 10:17pm
for some reason this mod causes some weird issue, for an example if i make a land with mod's floor like rich soil, or tilled land. after rain the land will 'washed away' and turn into packed dirt as their base floor.

replaced it will turn it back. no need for rain. any tips? im using fertile land
17 May 18, 2024 @ 12:33am
thank you very much for the explanation and quick reply :)
FrozenSnowFox  [author] May 17, 2024 @ 11:53pm
@17
It's a very simple xml patch using functions coded in the Core game. If anything it might improve performance since the game won't keep hundreds or thousands of stacks of filth on the map for 3-4 quadrums.
17 May 17, 2024 @ 11:48pm
how big is the performance impact of this mod? is that somehow quantifiable, trying to cut down on high drain mods

FSF FTW.

@FrozenSnowFox

Thank you for the update. It takes time to adjust to the changes of the new DLC and you responded pretty quick actually. Great work!
Bleiser Apr 14, 2024 @ 3:14am
Thank you for your work :)
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Apr 13, 2024 @ 8:27pm
The danger of the Revenant creature far exceeded my expectations. I've added an exception so its blood and trails do not vanish with rain to match the vanilla behaviour. I'll be adding a toggle in my tweaks collection to specifically enable this behaviour for extra hard mode. At a later date I might see about adding this behaviour as an option to this mod if there's interest but the setting will require XML Extensions to use.

@Zetic
I've uploaded a fix for it. It won't change existing trails but it will change any trails made after. Sorry for being a bit slow on this. I had no idea the danger these things posed was so serious.
Zetic Apr 13, 2024 @ 7:43pm
Hopefully a toggle for disabling clearing of revenant trails is added. In muddy terrain it should almost be easier to track the trail of a large shambling creature. Will have to disable this mod until then.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Apr 12, 2024 @ 7:41pm
@Hykal
Once I've seen how these things work I can make a judgement on it. If they're making lairs in the middle of nowhere and these marks are the only way to find them, then yes I'll have to put in an exception. If that happens I'll probably add a toggle for it in my tweaks collection.
Hykal Apr 12, 2024 @ 7:36pm
@FSF

It may make sense for it to vanish in the rain but to be on the safe side, I think it may be best to make an exception.
IAmDylann Apr 12, 2024 @ 7:24pm
yeah it probably does make sense, but I also know pretty much nothing about it, so I thought it might be good for me to bring it up. Either way, cool mod :)
FrozenSnowFox  [author] Apr 12, 2024 @ 7:00pm
@IAmDylann
I haven't encountered one of those yet. It's tagged as false for rain in the files but then so is the majority of the stuff my mod patches. If its required for something I'll make sure to exclude it. However it sounds like its simply a trail to help find them? It kind of makes sense to vanish in the rain.
IAmDylann Apr 12, 2024 @ 6:42pm
I found that in the new dlc Revenant Trails/spoiler get washed away in the rain. not sure if this even matters, because I don't really know how it works, but thought I should mention it.
