@pookage Just grab the mod Blood to Hemogen, or make your own recipe with 'Make Anything Craftable'.
Pookage May 17, 2024 @ 5:15am
Could someone update this so that bloodstem gives haemogen packs instead of blood packs? That way you could make a vegetarian sanguaphage!

I think it would be more interesting if you could only build the IV stand and craft the medication bag separetely to put into the stand, this way you wouldn't be forced to build a specific stand to a specific medication and maybe you could use two medications in the same stand

are the blood bags one time use, or do they last forever? An infinite glitterworld blood bag sounds kind of overpowered to be honest; if it's one time use that would make a lot more sense but it's not indicated as being disposable.

Doesn't seem to recognize Fast Regen beds as hospital beds, or is there a way to fix that myself?
Gordon Frohman Apr 3, 2023 @ 10:40am
It's a real shame that this mod is so neglected. If drips could be configured to only refuel when they get low - like a campfire - and be programmed to only be consumed when a patient is present, this mod would be a staple of every playthrough for me.

As it is, it requires too much micromanaging to use effectively.

Patient repeatedly gets up DURING surgery, cancelling the procedure. Patient then collapses, is rescued, and the process repeats. https://youtu.be/wHOt6Ed4anY

It can draw blood indefinitely. Is it a BUG?

Sad, was planning to use this for my xenomorph esque type playthrough.

"Yeah unfortunately the nutrition IVs are almost unusable as the pawns attempt to refill them constantly" This mod is probably semi abandoned.
Уединение Feb 4, 2023 @ 11:27am
My colonists are constantly refueling the nutrition IV's.. Most mods have a threshold where you want to top off the item that needs fuel, but with this even if it ticks down even a little they're trying to refuel it. So it needs a slider to control what fuel level you want it to be at.

I just wanted to add a comment, The compatibility between this mod and, Zynmex's mod Hospital Extended- isn't that ideal unfortunately. I have both installed and they both make a mess of the research tab when used together. It's so bad that you have to do the research for most items twice, and half the time your researching for a title alone and no items that come with it.
Swomera Jan 4, 2023 @ 10:55pm
Bloodbag and hemogen pack being seperate resources is rather annoying. You should consider merging both as a mod option if not applying it by default.
mmeatbreadd Nov 30, 2022 @ 6:01pm
IV Painkiller needs painkiller fuel but I can't make painkillers?? How do I fuel my IV if I can't make the thing to fuel it ):
Emilie Sackenball Nov 29, 2022 @ 5:49pm
So, will be this updated for taking the hemogen packs in consideration?
@Ironman_Mk11 unless the moder did a change in this version (I remaking my mod list again singe I got Biotech) electrical drips are "infinite" as a long you have energy, so you don't need to refill them, just offer electricity, the refillable tiers are just useless overall since the infinite loops, they might reduce the constant check for taking care of the patients but still I normally never bother with these and I go straight for the electrical tiers.

I also think it is a good idea to merge Bloodbag into HemengenPack, because they are too similar
тетеря, блин Nov 19, 2022 @ 3:52pm
does it work with DE Surgeries, everything's fine?
TickTockBent Nov 1, 2022 @ 11:13am
Yeah unfortunately the nutrition IVs are almost unusable as the pawns attempt to refill them constantly.
JayleeVT Oct 31, 2022 @ 4:33pm
I'm curious if the blood bags work to feed the totally-not-vampires in biotech. I haven't gotten any yet but if someone else has, I'm v curious
Ironman_Mk11 Oct 28, 2022 @ 2:23pm
Hmm... My pawn seems to be in a never ending loop of re-filling the IV. I may have spoken too soon about this being a perfect solution...
Ironman_Mk11 Oct 28, 2022 @ 2:16pm
This mod, in particular the Nutrition Dispenser, seems like it would be **PERFECT** for keeping legless prisoners fed for a Hemogen farm in Biotech. A couple of questions though.

1) What fuels the Nutrition IV, and is there any way that it's fuel can be modified and/or selected? I read the description, and checked through all the comments. It's been asked but never answered.

2) Since the base game now has Hemogen, do you have any plans to convert the Blood IV into using Hemogen? That would actually be extremely cool.

1.4 Update - yay! Thank you so much for bringing one of my favourite little QOLs into the latest release :cozyjunimogreen:
AsidMjolnir Oct 23, 2022 @ 8:44am
Sagacious, they help remove the 'bleeding out' effect by putting more blood in. Blood stem makes crushed blood stem makes blood bags (or you can harvest blood bags from patients).
Боюсь женщин Oct 23, 2022 @ 7:29am
when for 1.4?
SagaciousNJ Sep 21, 2022 @ 1:51pm
what is blood stem for and what do blood bags do. I can see that they're categorized as medicine but I don't' see any options to deal with blood loss aside from the blood IV which doesn't even use these products as ingredients.

froestelchen3024 Small bug. You just need to switch to the electric version
froestelchen3024 Aug 27, 2022 @ 5:32am
i don't know if its just a interaction with another mod but i have a problem with the iv drips being refueled way too fast although there is still enough left they do it even if its for example at 145/150 despite there being other hauling jobs. Has anyone got the same problem?
Neronic Aug 18, 2022 @ 10:40pm
The electrical nutrition IV doesnt suspend my prisoners hunger and it just falls like normal. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong? They're in hospital beds.
Five Owned Aug 13, 2022 @ 4:22am
@Sugarstar - Nutrition IV only suspends hunger, not feed the patient. I think you can still feed the patient, it should keep the patient full for as long as the nutrition IV works.

@Readtext - The mod is Heat Map.

@Rutra Nickers - Electrical IVs no longer need to resupply as long as there's electricity.
JayleeVT Aug 8, 2022 @ 9:00pm
Am I just not understanding something... I put the nutrition IV next to the head of my patient's bed, but he's starving to death. Is it not like.... a feeding tube? I thought that was the point of it?

Also every time it gets down to 148/150 my undead skeletons come over and 'refuel' it with food.... so like, every 2 min. But it's not feeding the guy so @_@;;
Dr.Café Aug 7, 2022 @ 10:34am
I don't know why it's keep blinking/flickering in the Health tab anyone know what going on?
Readtext Aug 5, 2022 @ 9:33am
What mod shows the temperature in the green box?
RutraNickers Jul 11, 2022 @ 9:15am
what's the difference between a nomarl IV and an electrical one? The electrical one doesn't use it's charges if the pawn doesn't need it?
Zombie967 Jun 23, 2022 @ 2:19pm
Please add a storage system to the iv drips so i can stop robots form constantly refiling them. Thank you.
Lieri May 14, 2022 @ 12:32pm
So this may be functionality that goes beyond what the mod was intended to do.

When I set up a patient to receive intravenous therapy at work, it is usually to replenish blood that is already lost with a compatible type to prevent reaction. I haven't actually got to use the mod yet, but feedback I have from people telling me the function is that the blood bag IV "slows ongoing blood loss" rather than "replenish blood that is lost".

So the IV then, should be able to replenish blood by flipping the values in reverse in the codes I think, or perhaps a different surgery procedure as mentioned below to replenish blood that is lost.

"There Will Be Blood" technically achieves this already, but it does so in a fashion that is instantaneous rather than over time. I can see the Medical IV mod being the more realistic solution.
