Seriously a lot of fallen hero parties are build as suicide kamikadze instead of ballanced, suriviolist teams like ours where we try our best to prevent anyone dying.
4 Jesters is gurnteed that someone in your team gonna die, since back row are gonna use battle ballad or solo, while front position with finale. They won't care if 1-3 jesters die as long as they secure a kill
Or 4 Flagelants - that is instant retreat or prepare for party wipe. Bleeds everyone in your team, constantly heal themselves, they have very high stun resist, and if anyone of them die - will activate undodgeable post death stun attack on your entire team, while heal everyone in their team. Such a broken class
It's a brilliant idea for a mod, but PLEASE fix the balance for god's sake.

In my opinion, this mod can be given a very cool development by adding new character classes in the form of opponents instead of standard heroes. There are many mods for hero classes, and even more that are perfect in their style for special enemies. And under such a mod, it would be an ideal use. For example, imagine if there were, for example, such opponents against our heroes:

Overall great mod, just a little more loot would make it one of the best non expansion mods in this game
For the absolute worst.
This mod absolutely sucks. I don't know if it's because I added another mod, but every time, these enemies come with trinkets of their own and they have a special modifier (Like venomous, bulky,etc.). They are always way faster than you (For example, apprentice hellion has a speed of 9) and If you are surprised, bid your team fucking goodbye. They deal too much damage, they have way too many op abilities (Yawp, Mark party, finale, etc) and some abilities are straight up cheating. I lost a HWM to an arbalest who shot at rank 4 and rank 2 with SNIPER's SHOT!!! Not only that, HM GETS TWO FUCKING TURNS!
So picture this, 3 of your heroes died and you won. At least you got all the trinkets right? WRONG! NO TRINKETS! NOT EVEN THE TRINKETS THE ENEMIES SUPPOSEDLY CARRIED! FUCK this mod. just download the arena instead.
And many fallen heroes have DLC trinkets that I can't have. I find it kinda unfair. Since a lot dlc trinkets have huge power creep.
I also would suggest restrict fallen heroes to just 1 trinket instead of 2.
Maybe add difficulty setting for this mod?

Yea that's a good reason! Explains the difficulty I had.
But it comes at the cost of making it incredibly tough for lvl 0 unupgraded parties if you face them. Silver lining is that you havent invested much into these heroes, but it's still frustrating.
If dd modding wasn't so painful I'd go and redo the stats for apprentice dungeons, but as it is that's around 100 files I'd need to adjust the values in manually.
However there were a few things I found frustrating which is the reason I'm removing the mod for now:
1. The fallen battles are sometimes harder than the normal monster battle would be, which is great and expected, but sometimes it puts me up against fallen who are higher level than my own characters which are already high level in a low level run. The fallen have more stats outright than my characters which pretty much means a few lucky/unlucky hits and it's a TPK.
2. (This might be due to mod interactions) It's true that the loot is great (lots of valuables), but no trinkets fall from the fallen. It's a little frustrating since we know they are using trinkets and it would be nice to get the option to loot those trinkets even if we don't have space for it all.
Great mod though! Love the concept! Unfortunately hits a little hard for my taste sometimes hahah.
My desire for the good old days of tear soaked rage has been left unsolved for the most part by other monster mods (there are some gems out there don't get me wrong).
Then you have this beautiful mod. Wow... holy crap is this mod hard. Every time I encounter a Fallen Heroes party, I know someone is going to die. The diversity of team comps for them is just euphoric. Who knew being on the receiving end of a Barbaric Yawp or an Occultist's 60 heal crit could feel so enraging. Oh the Jester just cast Solo and your front line has been full stunned, I'm sure you can guess where this is going.
10/10 Mod, would download again.
this mod is hard, real hard. at least for an idiot like me. when i'm still getting established with heroes and trinkets they consistently kill one of my heroes per fight if i'm not careful.
that being said, they are a really interesting shake up of normal dungeon fights that i enjoy even when they kill my guys and even more so when i'm set up
tl:dr worth the download, if you get butthurt about character deaths wait til later in your run to encounter them or just hope for the best i spose. hope this helps!
