I am actually not sure. I dont own the aoe 2 DE. I dont see why my texture files could not be substituted in for theirs. If you have this mod installed its located here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Age2HD\mods

Go to that location and copy the Terrain folder onto your desktop. Then drag it over the existing folder called Terrain in the AOEII DE Folder. You want to over right the original files. *note make a copy of the original Terrain Folder since its water files will be replaced. Just in case you want to switch back.

Do you know if I can use this in the DE? Or do you plan to make a mod like this for DE? I really miss this realistic water, the new one looks like a swimming pool

Thanks man. Just by trying you would be way ahead of those that not even started. If it gets 10% as nice as this one, it will be incredible, specially for scenarios with rivers.

Ok turns out I need to resub to all my mods in order for the validating to work. I updated all of my mods, including this one! Again Im sorry for being the worst haha. I'll go see about making a tropical water like I said forever ago. And fixing the shallows for this mod. Again thanks for the patience!

Hey warthog, i tried it. but the buttom uptdate doesn't work.

If you have the 4.1 version, you just new to run the game, go to steam workshop, select your mod from the list and click on update. That's all, steam will convert it from the old workshop format to the new one.

All that you need to do is upload it using the new system, Technosoldier. The mod works great, but they integrated Steam Workshop into the actual game, so I believe you just have to upload it there.

What would you recommend I fix? Honestly I haven't been as active as I would like to have been.

I can't use it anymore. It doesn't install.

I would double check to make sure that you do not have conflicting texture packs.

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.

First make sure that you do not have another water mod installed. Secondly copy all of the original water resources from inside the texture folder. Paste them somewhere else for safe keeping. Then delete the water resources from inside the texture folder and finally download my mod again. If that still doesn't work email me at technosoldier123@gmail.com for the actual file. Hope you get it to work and thanks for downloading.

This is the best looking water texture. Great job! My only complaint is that the shallows texture was not changed so it doesn't match at all. Would it be possible for you to make a texture for the shallows as well so that it matches the water?

I like this water. But I found in some maps, the color of waterfall seems different with water. It would be better to upload a texture of waterfall that is suitable for the water :)

you have drawn some whiteish waves on the texture, in such a way that the grid pattern is clearly visible and they also don't agree with the 3D water effects over them, unlike the original texture.
Maybe I'm the only one who cares or notices.
Your water has more depth than the standard one though so good job on that.
