Is there any way to assign weapons to these gear sets? Would love for my colonists to be able to change weapons quickly as well.

I subscribed to that one a couple months back when it was the only one available to 1.4

Also, the quests that add those temporary pawns that have to stay in your faction's base for a while... they just come in and auto-equip from the dresser so I had to create a "temporary outfit" for them and now they're still in the manage outfits screen even though they left quadrums ago.

I don't know if I can recommend this mod anymore but maybe it's just a personal gripe I have with it:
I've always just used it for the barber aspect of it (and still do) which works great for me. However, after I got the Ideology DLC and favourite colour became a mechanic, I used the apparel colour changer part of this mod to change some cloth pants to his favourite colour. However, this pawn's apparel colours are now bugged forever it seems as certain items of clothing I would not want his favourite colour (bright pink) such as a wolfskin pelt coat are now automatically changed to bright pink when he equips them.
I had to go into dev mode, delete my pawn (luckily was just a new recruit) and re-make him.
The mirror will now be used to simply style hair for me.
Edit: Apparently the stand alone Change Mirror mod by this same author solves this issue or at least it works in the way I would want. Worth knowing I feel.

Would actually love to have a scaled down version of this mod which only has the storage, apparel assignment and outfit functionality.
If I remember correclty - and sorry, it's almost been a year since I last played - it also has functionality to adjust how pawns look. Would probably be best to reduce the functionality down to the "dresser" part only.

I was thinking of looking into modifying the mod to my liking, but I need to find the energy and will to do so...


Thank you for your work @Kiame Vivacity, while the mod is very overpowered (I'm fine with how it works tbh), I wouldn't want to live without it. Not having my pawns run around in full combat gear all the time made the game a lot more enjoyable for me.

I've forked an unstable 1.4 update. The functionality of outfit management is shifted smoothly to 1.4, which imho is the essence. But the 1.4 update and AlienRace mode have underwent substantial changes in pawn's style mechanisms. Therefore, the support for Humanoid Alien Races and the age system are unstable. I will fix bugs in few weeks.

No promises but if i do get some time at the end of the year, I may see about making a "Change Shelf" which will allow a lot of the complexity of this mod to go away.

Very sad to see this at the end of its life with Kiame, but I’m grateful for the years they kept it updated and this was an absolute essential in my gameplay. I hope to see it picked up (I’ve suggested it in Mlie’s discord in hopes they might be able to save those of us who love it). Thank you again Kiame - hope life is treating you well!

Thank you Kiame for this mod, this mod has been huge life saver on not having everyone wear combat wear all the time, not to mention storing all the wearables. Hope someone picks this up and soon.

Thanks! My experience ended up sort of not being that but I can see why someone would think so and I had to check myself! It was because I had the ultimate top row checked when I shouldn't have. No one was wearing forced. Once I kept the top row "X"Ed they would not undress when drafted or undrafted.

Whenever I set a colonist to battle, once I unset them they immediately strip down. That's weird. I haven't checked forced apparel but I don't recall removing that from anyone but they still strip down after being undrafted.

I use it with Vanilla outpost expaneded and mercenary for me.
When i send a pawn to outpost or mercenary, their Assigned Outfit setting are still remain.
please add remove button or setting for these pawn's outfits setting.

Hi there! I'm having an issue where whenever my pawns are drafted they immediately drop all of their clothes, I run a few hundred mods so there could be a conflict. I have their outfits allowed for battle in the assign outfit menu. Thanks!

This mod seems flat out broken to me. Or at least custom outfit function.

After a lot of frustration with items seemingly ceasing to exist I tested it with just Harmony, which is required, and this mod.

New save, one change dresser. Create custom outfit > Select pawn > New custom outfit > click on the small arrow next to apparel to swap from one side to other, click to swap back, click to swap again, click to swap back.. doesn't happen always, but every once in a while apparel is just gone forever.

End of story.

Is there a conflict between this and Deep Storage? I notice that the Change Dresser disappears for me when I installed DS and reappeared when I removed it.

Since a short time the change dresser does not overwrite the outfit of a pawn.

E.g.
Pawn A has the Outfits daily and worker assigned.
The pawn wears the daily outfit. When I click to change to worker the apparel changes, but the pawn goes to the dresser and changes back to daily.
The outfit does not change in the assign tab.

There might be a mod conflict if pawns in the outpost are not getting dressed from the main dresser. Basically any apparel in any dresser is available on any map.

Any mod that modifies how pawns dress or pick apparel could cause this process to fail.

Also verify this mods setting are set correctly and the primary dresser is toggled to be dressed from.

If all my apparel is being sucked up into the highest priority dresser at my home base how do I get my pawns to change at my outpost? Any apparel made at the outpost winds up at my main base so my pawns at the outpost have nothing to change into when their current apparel wears out.

Sorry for posts. Jic this is useful.

1) tracked down "trigger" for object disappearing. Had 6 items in a dresser. 2 of which equipped when I drafted 2 pawns for a fight. But once I undrafted the pawns after the fight, the entire dresser contents disappeared. This was repeatable from a savegame.

2) Also tried: sterilized the save game (removed mod, load and re-saved game, then add the mod back and load), and rebuilt the dressers. The issue still exists.

3) Also tried deleting extra dressers keeping only 1. didn't help (tracked only a couple of rarer items)

No idea what could be causing the issue, though the last major mod I added was SOS2. No obvious error logged tho

Prob the last report for this issue ftm as I prob have to remove the dresser mod to finish current game (impossible to remove SOS2). Can only check further when I start a new game without SOS2. Will be hard as I have really gotten used to change dresser :(

I have a new suspicion after observing the seemingly periodic pattern. I don't know how the items are "stored" in change dressers, but could it be that one of those "optimizers" tries to "clean up" memory but deleting "useless" items that may be causing problem? (i.e. overzealous garbage collection).

lol.. doesn't work. setting all dresser storage priority to the same still causes things to disappear after some time. My earlier observation prob false as it could be periodic and I conclude too early that it avoided the issue.

Just a report update on the "missing item" problem.
Not exactly what is the cause (or if it is due to mod conflict, but there was no errors in log) but I noticed the following:

1) It is most obvious when there are multiple change dressers with different storage priority

2) things stored in the change dresser (i.e. already not on the map) seems to start disappearing starting with the things with highest storage priority (i.e. critical, important, etc)

3) by avoiding higher priorities like critical/important, either the problem is stopped, or it is just that there are many more items at lower priority so it is harder to notice items disappearing.

4) trying to see if the problem can be solved by making all change dressers have same priority (but really can't tell unless it is a long time, since there are a lot of items)

Apparel will be stored in the highest priority dressers first. The best way to manage this is to have one dresser in your primary base with Critical and filters set to whatever you want your pawns to use. All other dressers set to lower priority. Also make sure one dresser can take all clothing.

You can also toggle the other dressers to be "Off" for "Dress From"

Mods for finding apparel will not work as apparel stored in dressers no longer exist in the game world as normal. Instead they're just stored in memory. When they're requested/pulled to wear apparel, that apparel will be added to the game again.

Discovered stored items going missing (at the worst possible times, like becoming naked during combat). tried searching through the change dressers but did not find them. Also tried using inventory mod to search entire maps/pawn inventory to no avail.

The only thing I did was to have change dressers in multiple colonies. Could that be causing problems?

Whenever a caravan enters a different (non-colony) map, either by drop pod or travelling overland, they appear wearing the wrong outfit. They seem to wear other clothes permitted within their allowed clothing, but not the top-tier ones they wear in base. Anyone know a fix?

Just wondering: what is the expected behavior of change dressers wrt multiple colony/sites? On expedition sites (random encounter maps) I seem to have no problem changing from combat to non-combat etc. The problem comes with a 2nd (space) colony (SOS2 mod).

After I pulled a bunch of pawns (with EVA capable combat and non-combat outfits assigned) from the ground colony to space to deal with a boarding assault, I was trying to get them into the shuttle to go back home, but when I undrafted them, instead of the usual EVA capable non-combat uniform, they all become naked... And as the SOS2 mod goes, being naked in vacuum/space is not very healthy... lol

Wonder what is the difference? Colonies don't share change dresser content but non-colony sites do? Or is it because I have change dressers on the space colony which may mess things up?

I notice the option to change a pawns favourite color, but when I select this option there is no UI. Is this intentional? Barring that is there any other way to change a pawns favourite color?
