@McGrubbers: It usually happens if the height difference is large, or if there are roads or buildings right up against the quay. In that case you can use the terraforming network to push it down. Just place it in water (while paused!), lower it underwater with Move It and get it close enough for them to mostly disappear.

Thanks for making these quays! One of the things I have noticed is that the "wavy" terrain you see inside the quay when in landscaping mode seems to be sticking out a bit at the bottom of the quay. I try and flatten it out but can't seem to figure out how to fix it. Has anyone else experienced this?

@Chamëleon: Maybe at some point, but not any time soon. I'm pressed for time these days, so that's something that just isn't a priority, since the Modern Lighting Pack: Liberated still works just fine.
Chamëleon TBN Jun 23, 2020 @ 8:46am
@Avanya will you update your quays to work with the Modern Lighting Pack - 2020 Edition?

@skallben: All quays can have built in pedestrian paths, which mine have been updated to include. I don't know if it's the case for other quays, but at least it is for these. :)
skallben May 16, 2020 @ 9:21am
Im confused. Does all quays have built in ped paths now or just some?
Either way, it's a cool feature.

This is great! Thank you!!

Thank you for taking the time to update these for pedestrians :)

So many authors don't include their extras required, especially when adding a collection. Thank you for always doing so.:steamhappy:

@Mortal: Here's a mod kinda like what you describe. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1373980897

Awesome.
Avanya  [author] Sep 28, 2018 @ 11:39am
Could be possible. It would require some fiddling as the grass would need to be from the map theme to blend, which the shader for quays doesn't support. But it might be something we can fake with props. I might look into it at some point.
Troy Havok Sep 28, 2018 @ 11:03am
Oh... what about fooling it with textures? Thinnest possible quay with a brick wall texture on the outside edge and grass texture on the side that pulls up the ground. I don't know if that would look right, but maybe. Probably grasping at straws - I saw my dreams shattered this day lol
Troy Havok Sep 28, 2018 @ 10:59am
Ah okay, that's sad news - those decorations would have added a lot. Thanks for the response.
Avanya  [author] Sep 28, 2018 @ 6:04am
@Malvictis: Nope, sadly not. The quays need to be about 1 tile wide to hide the terrain difference. Underneath the terrain just goes down steeply. So a thin wall like that would have a gap behind it where the ground would go down. It would have been really cool if it was possible though.
Troy Havok Sep 27, 2018 @ 4:46pm
Would it be possible to make a thin brick wall that acts like a quay, meaning it interacts with the ground the way they do?

It would be an awesome detailing tool.

Absolutely no worries, it was just a thought. I realised that I can use the mods I already have installed - like Prop & Tree Anarchy and Prop Line Tools - to achieve a similar result.
Having said that, I still want you to do it 'cause I'm so spolied with all your great work! :)
Imparfecto Jun 12, 2018 @ 10:40am
Thank you for these :D Quays have always been a limited choice in the workshop but this adds a lot of nice variety :D
Avanya  [author] Jun 3, 2018 @ 10:30am
@Ivanish: Not right away. I might at a later point, but I don't really have any good ideas for decorations for them and I'm a little bored of just doing quays. So my plan is to do something else for a bit. I'll prob add more quays and possibly decorations at a later point.
Ivanish Jun 3, 2018 @ 10:05am
Will you be making decorated versions of the other quays too, like the Decorated steel quay? If it's not too much to ask, I'd love for decorated version of as many as you want to make.
I tried to fiddle with making them for my own, personal use, but alas I am not smart enough! :)

Avanya, jeg vil gerne lade dig vide at du laver et utroligt godt arbejde. :)

fantastic work :medkit:
Ivanish May 29, 2018 @ 1:12am
And they just keepcoming! Being a bit Euro-centric when building I have to say your quays are now essential to me. Thanks yet again! :)
Avanya  [author] May 9, 2018 @ 12:40pm
@aubergine18: Oh, thank you for the reminder! I had forgotten those. :P I know AmiPolizeiFunk considered a ferry stop that works with quays. Mic CrossHill also has some piers which I played around with when testing the quays. They'll definitely work well with the tiered one but are missing stairs down from the others. They need to be lowered and moved around though as the place they snap to is higher than the quay. But it's totally possible to have it look good. :)

Loving these quays!

Hopefully with all these quays we'll start seeing more assets that can be snapped on to them (like you can put harbor and other shoreline buildings including pumps on to quays). For example, downlights to illuminate the side of quays in tourist areas, or ladders and depth guages, or life belts, piers that stick out perpendicular, and so on.

Note: Quay stair prop missing from the collection

Big thanks :)
Avanya  [author] May 9, 2018 @ 5:39am
Thank you! And yes, I had a lot of ideas sitting around. :P But this is prob gonna be it - at least for now. :)

Thank you so much for all your hard work on these amazing assets!
