If you cannot see the web address bar then go to 'Settings' in the 'Steam' section of the menu above and in the 'Interface' tab make sure that ' Display Web Address bars when available' is checked/ticked.
Is there anyway to stop the blue sparks when activated?
I found when I did look into other generator mods (although this one is my favourite and I would prefer to stick with it) that other mods are having the same issue after that ARK update.
With that, it perhaps may be something that can be fixed in another update on its own.
A friend once explained to me that updates can change code for something completely unrelated and it is like fix one thing and something else may mess up! hahaha
Take care and time to recover well :)
I am not being condescending at all, if you were a modder you would understand the frustration of always being asked for the ID and usually in a nasty way, look at the message just before yours it simply says Mod ID? - no please thank you or kiss my ass, just a demand for the ID, we are not here to pamper to you, we provide the mod the least you as users can do is look for the ID in the address.
As I have not played the game for over 18 months now due to illness i am afraid you will all have to wait until such time as I am well enough to take a look, I am not sure when that will be or indeed if it happens at all.
The reason for the delay is that I have Bowel cancer which has turned into metastatic cancer (for those who are not familiar with that term it is when the cancer spreads from the original location to appear throughout the body.) I have had 3 major operations since 2016 and I am due for a 4th around mid March this year, I have just finished 10 months of intense chemo which has NOT helped. So please have patience and bear with me, I am trying to get back to Ark modding.
I love this mod as well, and hope it can be updated to fit with whatever happened with that ARK patch.
?id= in the web link!!
In this case the address is ....
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1281094173&tscn=1609167698
So the mod id is 1281094173.
It is not rocket science.
This mod has been a great help and game changer for the headache that was ARK electrical up to this point. If these could power things on platforms this mod would be just about perfect.
Any chance you'd be willing to release the code to the community so someone can pick up where you left off?
Other than that, I believe I forgot to tell just how great this mod's been. Been using it since you first launched the old v1 cabled panels... and it's still a regular in my mod list. Thank you for making it.
It would be however a much greater and far more serious problem for your fan community, if your items disappear and therefore functionality and structure would disappear from many games.
Hope you're doing fine. I found out that while they can be placed onto raft-based structures, they don't deliver energy. Wired solar panels help me for now, but being able to soon use wireless panels, would be much nicer.
Also be careful with the Mod Development Kit, it is known to far too often crash harddrives of modders and causing therefor loss of all developer files. Best to keep file copies on another harddrive. And once you decide to abandon a mod, please make it available on GitHub for your fan community so they can continue to update and upgrade your mods. The Steam Workshop is full with modders who lost all files and gave up. :-)
Please work on that. :-D
- Hughmungus Raft
- Wireless_Solar_Panels_V1.2
And as receivers I tried
- HG Shield Protection V1.31
- Central HVAC - Heating & Air Conditioning
- Ascended Lamp
- Better Lights
On land, every things. On a raft, energy is not received, items remain "unpowered". Can you check on this?
These solar panels are a great and useful mod. But make them paintable, if possible, and increase their maximum range. The raft I am building is ... huge. :-)
