I dont have BSS. However, in the past several games, the max religions that can ever be founded is seven. After that there are no more Great Prophets.

@AngleWyrm I don't think that it is unreasonable to expect a person reading these comments would have a modicum of knowledge about popular mods on the workshop, or failing that, at least a miniscule amount of initiative, say perhaps enough to search for the workshop for "BBS". Which by the way, would have taken significantly less time to type your reply and come up with your very helpful advice. Mind you, your bread sellers made me smile.

If you were to search the workshop for BBS you would have come up with results for:

I installed both Religion Expanded and Tomatekh's Historical Religions. The Gathering Storm expansion is also installed. However, even though the slider in the menu indicates that 16 are available, only 7 can ever be taken, just like in the vanilla version. All of the religions and symbols are available to pick from and all of the new Pantheons are available, but only 7 religions out of the many available can ever be chosen. I'm running Windows 10 on a powerful PC. Please help. Thank you.

Question about how a belief bonus works.

The "Fruits of Labor" and "Festival Processions" both say they give +1% culture/production for each citizen following this religion.

My question is, is this percentage applied to your cities individually or is the total given out to each city in their civilization?

Example. I have 3 cities following with max followers in each: 7 pop, 5 pop, and 3 pop. Does the 7 get 7% bonus, the 5 get 5% bonus, and the 3 gets 3% bonus? OR do all cities get +15% bonus?

I switched from BBS to Got Lakes? and it fixed the issue.

It was reported almost a year ago, but I still have the issue with trying to have more than 12 religions in a game. Perhaps it is as Cutha says and it might be a compatibility issue with BBS. It is very strange that is still the magical number, 12, as going over that will make the game default to 7 instead of 13-16.

Trying to track down why our game doesn't have # of great prophets that was configured before starting the game and it seems that Better Balanced Starts (BBS) 2.2.7 might override the adjustable # of religions from this mod. I might be out to lunch but BBS has this and it might be the cause of our issue:

eastwind, from what I understand there's melee and naval melee, then there's ranged, cavalry (light and heavy), artillery, and GDR unit classifications. This is how the engine defines them.

Logically, cavalry is melee in the real world sense, and non-ranged attacks from a GDR should be melee in a real world sense, but I don't think it works like that in Civ6.

What units count as 'melee' for by the sword? Does cavalry (light and heavy) not count? What about GDRs? I was getting inconsistent triggering in my game the first time I took this enhancer belief and was perplexed until I went back and read the description above - now I'm just uncertain why I didn't always have it triggered.

I think I conquered nine greek cities without it ever triggering, and was wondering if they had some kind of nullifier, but I guess for those cities I was consistently capturing with cavalry. Then I brought on a GDR, and I think those cities that are captured with it do convert. Not sure as I only just now read the bit about the type of unit mattering.

How can you capture a city in a way that does *not* use a melee unit? Even destroyers are termed melee.

Great mod but stumbled upon a bug where i picked the basilica building upgrade and now its saying i cant build the building until i get a temple when i in fact do have a temple.

I have "Works Righteousness" Belief, but none of my cities can buy Industrial Zone or Harbor Districts with faith. :\

Tried using 'by the sword'. As far as I can tell it wipes out target city's religion -- but then replaces it with your pantheon religion instead of your actual religion. This is more disruptive as it sounds as I dont think even the 75%-reduce apostle ability works on your own pantheon, making it very hard to assert your religion on any conquered city.

Otherwise, really enjoy the mod and new features.

I'll take a look. I think it's because of the way I have the 13, 14, 15, and 16 options check for Historical Religions being activated.

i have both this and the recommended religion mod to get 16 religions per game, tho the great prophets still dissappear after the 7th have been granted even when religion per game is set to 16, idk why it dosnt work, am i missing something???

@fiflakowski Yeah, I agree. This is a fun mod that has great options versus vanilla, but one I unsub to a lot as well for similar reasons. I wish there was a lite version like Civs expanded. Vanilla beliefs should still be the same like Religious Communities and Chthonic Cult just boggles my mind. If Earth Goddess is one of the best general pantheons at +1 Faith... +1 Science makes it obsolete by a mile. I'll throw my 2 cents at all the other pantheons this adds which don't require improvements.

the mod is great, I like it a lot, everything works, but:

These pantheons are absurdly powerful:

Rainforest Rituals: +1 Culture from Rainforests.
Chthonic Cult: +1 Science from tiles with Breathtaking Appeal.


Is there a way to remove them or at least to weaken them somewhat?

Hi everyone. This is a Great Mod but one thing I am missing is how are you supposed to go beyond 12 religions when only 12 Great prophets can be recruited? In my game now, with 32 civilizations, there are 12 religions founded, the religions say available 12/16, but no more Great Prophets. I was almost there with the Revelation Policy Card and would have made it easily to number 13 or 14. How can you found a religion after you run out of Great Prophets?

I'm thinking this mod has stopped working as I have like a bagillion faith (500), a holy site, shrine, temple, not to mention others and no prophet. Yet Ragnar, the guy with only 1 city left who is taking too long to die because of lack of tiles to attack from gets a prophet to stand there on the 1 tile that he owns. Like what the hell? And I'm like #5 in faith so it's not like all the vanilla religion slots should be used up yet. Tell me if you don't get prophets during war or something lame like that.

No. As a Follower Belief it’s applied at the city level, just like the original Work Ethic which it was based off of (the current “Fruits of Labor”

Does the belief "Festival Processions" provide a 1% bonus per citizen to ALL CULTURE earned by a Civ? Simplified, does a total population of 100 citizens that worship that Religion yield a 100% increase in Culture per turn for the Founder of that Religion?

It seems that when starting a game in an era other than the ancient era, the game doesn't allow you to form as many religions as normal and this mod doesn't change that

Sometimes when picking a lower number on the slider it increases while in-game.
e.g: putting slider to 6 makes 7 religions in-game, putting slider to 12 makes 13, etc.

"Prosperity Doctrine" kinda does not work. I can build a Commercial Hub, but when I try to buy it with Faith it does not show up. Just my Apostles, Gurus and Missionaries. I tried it in two Cities with my Religion, where I can build Commercial Hubs. Are there any Issues regarding this known?
