the avengers menus was starting to make my motion sick thanks for making this.

If you dont activate the "Lost and Abandoned" it will work 100%.

if you activate the Tutorial / Intro mission "Lost and Abandoned", it will skip Central VO about factions and hang after the 1st cutscene (when you enter the bridge to access the Geoscape). the 1st hang, can be skipped with "Esc", the 2nd hang (introducing the blacksite) cant be skipped forcing you to shutdown the game.

If you activate that mission i advise you to just activate the mod after the 1st introductions (but i didnt test that)

i got to this conclusion, by just using the this mod and nothing else after a Fresh recreation of the "Config" folder.

Thank you so much for this mod. I had to turn off Immersive Strategy Layer since I am trying out Covert Infiltration, and the transitions were literally making me feel sick. I was worried I would have to give up on CI for a minute there but now everything works great again!

This mod stopped working and i couldn't figure out why, but it worked 100% again after disabling the Evac All mod

First of all, thanks for this mode, it's awesome!
I have an issue, Instant customization of units doesn't work for me. Did I miss some checkbox or what can be the reason?

If it's helpful to anyone, I had the same issue, with the mod appearing to stop working. I fixed it by closing the game, renaming the config folder in Documents/My Games/XCOM2 WOTC/XComGame/ to something else and letting it recreate it next time I started the game.

Update: I checked all the config files manually and everything looked fine, but I noticed the config folder couldn't be renamed.

After killing all Steam processes and restarting them, I ran the game once with the "official" launcher (that crashed - which is arguably the most useful thing the official launcher can do), and when the game is launched with the AML this mod now works correctly again.

My guess is some file was locked by Steam, so the mod was able to load partially (namely the part that populated the options menu) but not actually being able to hook into the game. No redscreen error messages, though.

Hi. This used to work fine, yesterday it stopped working. I mean, it still loads, the options appear in the mod config menu (and are set correctly), but the animations (namely the hologlobe one) always play now. It's as if the mod is loaded but not actually doing anything.

I've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing, but there was no change. I didn't install any new mods since the last time it worked. And frame rate smoothing (which I know conflicts with some UI mods) is turned off.

Another vote of confidence that this mod is working nicely with WotC. The Geoscape transition is incredibly annoying and I found myself closing my eyes every time to keep my retinas from being shocked by the full-screen white-out. Many thanks.

note that putting the avatar project speed to 0 seconds will not cause the avatar project to load, resulting in a "freeze"
set it to 0.01 to fix it

this mod sometimes cause soft lock which I found the solution on reddit. "It was "Instant Avenger Menus". That has a slider for Avatar Pause and if it was set to 0.0 it would cause soft locks. 0.01 was all it took to fix it for me."

Do i have to start a new campaign for this mod to work?
I have subscribed and loaded up a game and it doesnt seem to work. Do i have to do something else other than just subscribe here?

The issue isn't that the geoscape is slow, the issue is that I have to completely quit out of the game when the Avatar Project progress ticks because it cannot progress. Any control is locked out and the game just sits on the geoscope without doing anything.

Because the mod launcher doesn't pick up every conflict. And if you google people having troubles, slow geoscape is normally number 1.

I do use the launcher. There are no conflicts. My mod list is huge, though most of my mods are soldier cosmetics and voice packs.

Try using the "community alternate launcher". It should show mod conflicts.

The issue with lag in the geoscape (your issue may be a bit strange if it 'only)' happens when the avatar ticks), is it indiciates a mod conflict somewhere, doesn't need to be geoscape related.

Do you have a full list of your mods?

The only other mods I have that directly affect the geoscape are [WOTC] Hours Instead of Days and Upcoming Events [WotC] (I guess technically also Blackmarket Usage). I could imagine Narrative Control having some effect. But these are all pretty common mods, I'd think.

With LWotC, this mod seems to cause the game to lock up when the avatar project progress ticks up. I was able to fix the problem by disabling only this mod, though I can't say for sure that the problem isn't a result of interaction with some other mod.

You probably changed another mod and had a mod conflict if you had lag on the geoscape

I experience drastically less lag on the Hologlobe continents Map with this Mod. I don't know why or how but either way 10/10, saved my game.

I have for the modmaker some information. Your mod breaks the robojumper squad select mod and all other mod refering to more information for soldiers. I have 789 mods running and tested everything crossed with robojumpers mod and an increasing number of mods ( testscenario always highlander with robojumpers and 100 additional mods). Maybe it will work with both together alone ( not tested ) but combined with the rest of my modlist it breaks it.

If I could humbly offer a suggestion for this mod, it would be to remove the camera pan from the Avatar Project gaining Doom. This was driving me insane to the point where I had to make my own version of this mod.

Anyone else find that having the camera wrenched away from what you're doing, just to show where the Doom is increasing, really annoying? I mean, who cares where?

That's the normal behaviour of Firaxis' launcher, not this mod.

Thank you very much for linking that guide, I couldn't make this mod work but that launcher is a godsend.
In case anybody is wondering why it doesn't work it's because it conflicts with the Train from Armoury mod. Maybe there's a workaround but I couldn't be bothered.

@yes_commander, I vouch this observation of yours. I played a lot this game. vanilla, lw2, wotc, many times. i used this mod but never tinkered it via modconfigmenu but i tried it on my current playthrough and IT DOES HANG the game (while scanning on the geoscape, usually its okay at first, but comes april when you start making contacts and finding the black market) when you set it the avenger delay slider to ZERO. Warning -- do not set it to zero or else you game crash.
