Yup. This nasty weed/tree was growing on our fence line on my side (US). Ended up getting rid of it quickly as it was starting to grow roots into our neighbors foundation. Awful tree!

I like this tree, but in America, it is an invasive species. It is actually killing the Red Sumac and taking its territory (The non-poisonuous one, which is edible... the other, white Sumac only grows in the higher places in the Appalachian mountains, and is the one associate with poison sumac... eg PA, NY, NJ... and south).

J-Quack- you are right for some parts of the world they are invasive species like written in the description. But also written in the description is the fact places like China and even some places in Europe treat them as ornamental trees. So not regarded as a bad tree everywhere. Personally here in Brooklyn, yes, I would cut them down.

These are weeds, and not the good kind. You need to find a way for them to become a nuisance that needs maintenance to give it a real to life feel... like have them spread almost uncontrollably.
