The weapon looks amazing, a shame it is not compatible with ACE...
It might be silly asking, but are there any plans to make it compatible with ACE Advanced ballistics? :)

I'm not sure if I'm downloading this wrong but I can't find this gun in game. Your other mod, the "Mk17" mod works fine for me but not this one. Any help

Been wanting one of these in Arma ever since I first saw the civlian variant. Looks good and feels good to shoot ingame. Although, the sound of it shooting seems off and seems like it ends too early. Hope to see further updates for this.

Hey mate I've been looking into your mod (and the scar series) to be added into our public server. I'm from BAD Compay ( www.badcompanypmc.com ) and we think having 2 separate mods is kinda overkill so I would like to ask permission to add this mod into our public server mod pack if you do not plan to make these two one. Of corse full credit would be guven!

GrizzlyBear83,I just test the AMS scope and have no problem with it ,but did you notice that the default AMS scope is set the zero to 500?

Cool to hear knightsmk11mod0, I really dig the rifle. Maybe the texture is on my end. Anyway, should I do anything specific regarding the scopes? I'd like to use the Ams scope but I just couldn't get any good hits with it. The rifle is sweet though

GrizzlyBear83,I already use 4096X4096 texture size,but you know it's really hard to let every part of your UV get the better resolution in your template,I'm still learning and working to improve my texture.
About the PEQ-15TOP,I use the vanilla MXM hand animations you can test the MXM,MK18 ABR or SMA scar ,the top mount can't aligned many guns,I think the top mount aligned some specific guns like M4 or MK18,HK416 that have the similar front parts.
About the sniper scope,I test in Virtual arsenal,I use one scope but different guns like M40A3,M2010,MK11,MK18 ABRand my gun to shoot the 500M target, I aims the heat and shoot 5-10 magzine for each guns I fount the Hit rate almost the same,but I will still test the zero problem,thanks for your suggest,I will continue working on it.

I like it, this has potential, but you should have higher resolution textures on the weapon itself, but more importantly, after going through most vanilla and RHS scopes, most sniper scopes misses the target wildly even at 100 meters. With ACOG and ELCAN scopes I can get a good hit att 100+ meters. If I put a PEQ-15 box on top of the rifle rail the PEQ-box sinks down half way through the rifle, any PEQ or flashlight mounted on the side appear normal. I hope to see a update for accuracy with sniper scopes.

yesterday I test it all day and can"t find the texture problem but I reset the texture path in OB and repack it try to find out why,sorry about that!

Just a couple notes from my end, apologies if its been mentioned already. 1st, the magazine has no textures after the update, it just appears completely white. 2nd, the rifle sits a little high, its almost on top of your shoulder completely and when your character is looking down the rifle sight it looks like hes looking through the rifle itself and not the sight. Other then that great mod, just thought I give you 2 cents.

@Yixuan1994: This was done on purpose, not everyone uses ACE3. You can do the thing that I did, which means write simple ammo compatibility config for ACE3 and RHS ammo.

The firearms model and the sound of this piece are worthy of appreciation, the only regret in the ammunition defined by the selectivity. The current ace high-level trajectory shooting range is very urgent, in the 35 degrees Celsius environment can only play 850 meters distance can only meet the needs of the distance of 750 meters. 枪械模型和音效这块值得赞赏,唯一的遗憾在弹药定义的可选择性上。当前ace 高级弹道环境下射表射程很捉急,在摄氏35度的环境下只能打850米距离最多只能满足750米距离内的需要。之前查阅的Mk20 SSR的弹药资料,远距离弹药采用的是Mk316 Mod 0,当前版本的ace3有此型号弹药选择;此外特射枪械里M993穿甲弹和M62曳光弹也可选择。因为现在Mk20 SSR这把狙很少再ARMA 里有做模组的,所以看到一款改善比较好的是很难得的。最后还是要感谢提供了一款不错半自动狙的模组!

also, i think the VFG's colour can be changed to fit the gun's colour more. now it looks kinda wierd with the colour tone

I found a sound sample and I will try it next update.
For the folded rear sight the standard SOCOM MK20 SSR from FNH is with a ADM DELTA rail mount,height to center line is 1.505in,that make sure the scope will above the folded rear sight.
But in game ,I have to accommodate the other scope,so I move forward the optics position because in rear life,MK20 don't need to remove the iron sight when use optics

Sounds are not bad.
Reload animation is ok for the SCAR.
Folded BUIS indeed can interfere with bigger scopes but I think it looks tacticool. On photos of snipers using MK 20 SSR BUIS are sometimes folded, sometimes deleted when using the scope - again personal preference. Maby separate version of the rifle with deleted folded iron sights when mounting a scope could be made. Again just personal preference.

@knightsmk11mod0 It's a really great mod. In my opion just overwork the sound and the reload animation. A new sound for Firing and as a reload animation maybe an animation from other scar mods would be fine. For the best look please remove the folded Iron sight if you have an scope on. But i thing you Final work would be one of the best Semi-Auto Rifle by far, so please keep working on it :steamhappy:

Suggestion for the author insteed trying to configure realistic ballistics simple solution would be to just create optional compatibility configs for ACE ammo and or RHS or CUP ammo for people who using that mods. Configuring accurate ballistics and ammo is very hard in arma and only few specialists in arma 3 community like Spartan0536 or Dagger can do that effectively, attempt to make that on Your own would be waste of time and it would be like reinventing the wheel. For simple shooting vanilla Arma 3 ammo is more then adequate anyway.

剛在virtual arsenal測試過, 500m-1000m 命中胸部也只需要一發, 目標只是穿平民衣服
戴上carrier rig後500m 命中胸部需要4發

@YanYat "Josh" Cheng 老兄我当然是在编辑器虚拟场景条件下试验,设置的是任何护甲都没有的普通人物单位,在250米内伤害感和自带武器相同,但大于这个距离后伤害衰减的感觉明显要小于官方那把MK18,对无任何护甲的人物单位击中胸部仍然需要两枪左右。

你用Proving ground檢查看看,游戲自帶7.62X51的彈藥傷害值現在應該是20左右,這樣就沒錯,RHS的只有12左右

遊戲的7.62同常打CSAT要2-3槍才死 (胸口@300-400m)

确实是一款非常成熟的武器MOD了,有一些问题比如枪口火焰和枪口声音在游戏中的设置都非常不错不会出现很多MOD初期时加上消音器AI还会在300米外有反应的问题。说一下自己的一些意见:一是枪托还可以更细致一些,跟枪身的细节程度相比,枪托确实有点敷衍了;2是这把枪的中远距离威力消弱做得是不是有点夸张?250米左右还好,300米左右距离即使是没有任何防具的敌人有时也需要两枪才能击倒,由于目前使用的还是游戏自带威力惊人的7.62X51NATO,会给玩家造成很大的剥离感。

EricJ的太粗糙了,等于没有。。。比你的差远了,我原来以为会很多问题。因为头一次做武器导入都会多多少少有问题,而且你还写着测试版。不过令我惊讶的是你的枪几乎是完美的,还有三个地方可以改进:
1.声音,枪声有些问题,建议先套官方m14ebr的框架。然后再改,现在的声音听起来需要换一个。
2.抛壳窗(枪机动画)抛壳窗最好也加上移动动画,如果抛壳窗的枪机的模型是连在一起的,用模型软体分出来就OK。
3.弹药,可以加入更加专业的762北约弹药,并且加入ace数据
