Really old map. I had fun, pretty good puzzle.

Ockham's Razor? The easiest solution escaped me from the start.
With 1100 hours logged on this damned game I was somewhat frustrated by this test. However, the elation upon completion more than made up for it. Thank you :)

This chamber is, by far, my highest rated chamber. It's been awhile since I've played it so I can't remeber the solution anymore. Thanks for playing.

Very nice, Andi.

Like Chelliste, I overthought this a lot. I played this once upon a time and even solved it, but apparently I didn't rate it--at least, I couldn't find a record of having done so. A very clever logic puzzle! And SO many ratings!!! Well done, milady--well done. Thumbs up!
Andi  [author] Mar 20, 2015 @ 4:51pm
Thanks for testing. After RC4 is ready (Which will havealot of hammer in it), I'm going to go back to my roots and tone down the hammer and put more thought into the puzzle itself.
Chelliste Mar 19, 2015 @ 9:15pm
As the name suggests, the solution is simpler (and easier) than you think. It does lead one to overthink it. Well, it did to me, anyway. As for visuals, as long as the puzzle is good I don't really care about the cosmetics. I'm not huge into makeup. ;-)
Andi  [author] Feb 2, 2015 @ 10:27pm
Thank you for testing. This chamber was done in the PTI editor. I just starting using hammer. We'll see where it takes us.
40ozKilla Feb 2, 2015 @ 9:09pm
Nice map. Puzzle was pretty decent. Maybe some more effort on the visuals. Thumbs up regardless

Good to see that this one has good ratings; it deserves it (as do some of your other tests) :p2cube:
Andi  [author] Feb 17, 2014 @ 8:04am
Yeah, this chamber isn't as hard as it looks. Thanks for playing.

hm, that was easier than I thought it would be when I saw so many fizzlers. it's a nice chamber overall. LIKE!

Franken-Logic Puzzle

Nice one! I could take a few guesses about why this one went viral -- about why people really like this room.

Although it's complex, it's linear enough that the player can get in and start accomplishing things right away -- small, individual clever puzzles -- without having to study and figure out the entire big picture.

Also, at the heart of a lot of adventure games is accomplishing small successful maneuvers that allow you to enter one more new room, and then another. (Hmm, if I build another level, I may try for that as a theme.) Your level had some of that feeling too.

If you'd like to check out another of my #F4F levels, you might have some fun with Franken-Logic Puzzle

It's pretty short (just one room) and designed to have a bit of a handmade "clunky" feel to it
Andi  [author] Jul 14, 2013 @ 3:21am
That's funny, I've never seen it spelled Occam's before either. I learned something new today.
e36freak Jul 14, 2013 @ 1:02am
Yeah, nevermind, I just looked it up and they're both acceptable spellings. I've just never seen it spelled anything other than "Occam's" before
Andi  [author] Jul 14, 2013 @ 12:36am
Yes, this is a bit easier than most of my chambers, I was surprised when it went viral, I didn't expect it to do so well. I thought "Quantum Dynamics" was better but it didn't do anything.

Ockham's Razor is the theory put fourth that says, "All things being equal, the simplest explaination tends to be the right one." It really doesn't have anything to do with this chamber however. I was naming my chambers alphabetically so I'd know which one's were which. This happened to be an "O" chamber. When I hit "Y and Z" I started over with "A" but using titles of novels that I've read.
e36freak Jul 14, 2013 @ 12:17am
Seemed a bit easier than most of yours, but still fun. By the way, is there a reference to "Ockham" or something that I'm missing? Or is it just a misspell/typo?
Andi  [author] Jun 11, 2013 @ 10:03am
Thank you for the nice comment. GLaD you enjoyed it.
Traveler807 Jun 11, 2013 @ 3:17am
Nice work, easier than the others in your series, but still takes some thought:) Solution is clean and more forgiving than the others (I didnt need F6 at all :) visual design is nice too
Andi  [author] May 21, 2013 @ 9:58pm
Thanks for trying out my chamber. I'll be happy to try yours too.
stormsend May 21, 2013 @ 1:35am
Good puzzle. Takes a little time to figure out but fun doing it. The way portal's supposed to be.
#F4F Try one of mine when you get time.
Andi  [author] Feb 12, 2013 @ 10:27am
No problem.
.sheridan .vespo Feb 12, 2013 @ 9:51am
Yes, I am precisely referring to said pedestal! Thank you for the consideration of my proposal!
Andi  [author] Feb 11, 2013 @ 11:34am
Are you referring to the pedestal the excursion funnel is pointed down on? I think that’s what you mean. If so, then I could make that change if you like. Give me a day or so as I’m currently bogged down with a few other items.
.sheridan .vespo Feb 11, 2013 @ 1:23am
Aren't you going to make the cube white, or tell me why you won't?
Andi  [author] Feb 10, 2013 @ 11:56pm
GLaD you liked it.
BUG Feb 10, 2013 @ 12:11pm
Fast ,Not ont hard.good puzzle ,thanks.
Andi  [author] Feb 4, 2013 @ 7:54am
Thanks, GLaD you enjoyed it. Sorry you had some trouble finding the panel but at least you did get through.
.sheridan .vespo Feb 3, 2013 @ 5:38am
This was a really good puzzle. I agree with everything kidblinks said. Just one minor complaint: it took me forever to find the white wall behind the excursion funnel. Maybe you could make the whole cube white so it becomes better visible!?
Andi  [author] Dec 11, 2012 @ 8:08am
I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it.
kidblinks Dec 10, 2012 @ 5:24pm
Great puzzle. No annoying time wastes or gimmicks, just good ol' fashion puzzle solving.
Andi  [author] Dec 6, 2012 @ 11:09am
Thank you for your video. That is exactly the way I had envisioned that it should be solved. Hope you enjoyed playing it.
