EDIT: That's it for the updates this week. The mod is testing great on both of my servers and in local play.

Summary: Sadly the features that I tried to work in today proved unstable, so were removed and everything was put back to where it was. The only feature which was viable and stable was the new server ini setting mentioned below: PreventBackwardsWalking
Please see the Admin Spawn Codes discussion for how to enable this feature if you wish to use it.
For those who do not wish to use it, you will so nothing different in your game play. Its default is exactly how everything has been.


There was an additional feature which was overlooked in today's chaos:
I've made another attempt at trying to correct alpha wyvern spawns. This attempt's approach is coming at the problem by skipping the reparenting levels completely and making alpha wyverns an entirely new class:

MegaWyvern_Character_BP_NewFire

It remaps the previous alpha wyvern class into this new class. If you play on an SE server please let me know in Bug Reports how this is affecting Alpha Wyvern Spawns for you (more, waaay more, less, no noticable effect, none spawning at all, etc.). If you aren't seeing any at all, you might have to manually remap their class into your server spawns in your ini files; Google for more info. Know that if this attempt doesn't correct the issue, I will officially drop all support for alpha wyvern spawns code-wise in this mod and will list them as inherently incompatible with using this mod.

The only permanent change after todays updates is the new server ini setting PreventBackwardsWalking.

The wyvern codes I attempted to install proved too unstable to leave in, therefore theyve all been completely removed.

Because of the multiple updates today, if you have any mod-related issues on your server - with this mod or any others - double check that you are running this latest version of the mod by deleting the mod and reinstalling it. If you are still having trouble rinse, wash, repeat until you get it working, because that's what's causing it - not having the mods properly installed on your side.

All attempts to add new ini codes for SE wyverns have proved fruitless. Cooking up one final patch to put everything back to how it was before, excepting for the one new server setting which did work.

Will post more notes shortly.

Three new server ini settings have been added:

TamableAdultWyverns (does not work; will perform 1 more update to try to correct this)
NoMoreMilkDrinkers (requires player testing)
PreventBackwardsWalking (tested and works)

Modified speed gain per tamed level to counter vanilla patch 259's new nerfed settings.

Added a script to the tapejara to allow it to wear the new tek saddle.

Aligned cloning costs of CF flyers to match their vanilla counterparts.

Removed all remapping from alpha wyverns and undead wyverns in a last-ditch effort to get them to spawn with this mod enabled. If this doesn't work, it'll have to be accepted that alpha wyven spawns and running this mod are mutually exclusive due to the nature of vanilla wyvern's reparenting and this mod having to switch their classes to let you keep your old tames when you enable the mod.

NOTE - this patch did not change anything else. Ranarok's new flyers, the ice wyvern and griffon, are still not supported by this mod and cannot be until WC decides to add them to the DevKit. No eta as to when that'll change.

Returned the Flyer Totem's stasis settings back to their older settings. The change had caused them to turn invisible (stay in stasis) in local play after rebooting. This means they will only function when you are around them during their entire pause cycle before a culling (leaving their area will reset the timer) or when you manually trigger a culling from their radial menu. As this appears to be an either-or situation, and we can't have them going invisible on the local play users, this is gonna have to be the direction we go for them.

CF server settings can no longer take flyer health higher than 100 percent.

The admin argent can now attack while grounded, walk backwards, and fly in any direction (use X and C to raise and lower while in flight).

Optimized mod size as much as possible. Its still going to be robust to ensure its as future friendly as possible. (Update: this part of this patch wasn't successful. Despite reducing file size of the mod in the DevKit by well over 30 mb, the actual change to the mod ended up being less than 5 mb after cooking. I'll tweak it some more in the next update and see if the overall file size can be trimmed any more.)

Trying an alternate method for showing the new particle effects on the Flyer Totem. It was showing loading textures during placement in local play.
