Hello Citizens! This is a huge patch, so large in fact that it destroys the text limit for notes. In summary: Major balance changes, numerous bug fixes, and continued reformatting and efficiency tweaks. There is (almost) no new content. We added a few new graphics for jets, but that's it.

Please check the forums later for the full notes.

For now, JudgeAlfred is in charge while I go deal with something horrifying and terribly exciting.

  • Added 'Axis Minors' by Thinking Waffle

  • Fixed "no range" issue with jet fighters. (again?!)
  • Japan will no longer declare war on a nonexistent Shanxi.
  • PRC will no longer declare an end to the civil war while it's still fighting.
  • Wuhan Steel now has an icon.
  • Various text corrections.

Hello! I hope you're doing well today. If not, maybe try going for a long walk outside? I find that usually helps. As to local matters...

This is a bug fix and balance patch. New content will come in the next one. Also of note is the Anti-Division Spam addition by Buffalo444. I'll keep tabs on the feedback from users to determine if it should stay in or not. Good luck!

Bugs and Balance

  • Argentina's missing advisors have been found.
  • Spain's Mechanisation effort now yields the appriopriate bonuses.
  • "Danzig or War" will now cancel if Poland doesn't exist.
  • Germany can now kick Italy out of the Axis.
  • Soviet Focuses now take into account the existence of Poland
  • China will now prioritize its fight with Japan and (on average) will form the United Front.
  • Rewrote descriptions for various focuses and events to clarify what needs to happen for Zhang to join the GNW.
  • Italy's "Influence the Balkans" focus has been rewritten to be more flexible.
  • England's "Limited Rearmament" now works.
  • Luxembourg will no longer suicide itself against Germany / France / Belgium.
  • Reduced shenanigans regarding the Benelux faction.
  • Cleaned some naming conventions.
  • Congo will now properly fire events meant for Italy instead of Germany.
  • Changed all modded Czech events to only trigger if DoD is not present.
  • Rebalanced National Laws.
  • France now has its full raft of destroyers at startup.
  • Removed unity requirement for Persia to form the Empire.

In other news, I will be taking a couple weeks off of modding in order to work on my rpg. If any major issues come up I'll make a hotfix, but otherwise I'll be off the radar mostly. Enjoy!

Hello! This is the 100k update, and as promised there is a super-secret Easter Egg included. It is designed to only come up very rarely in a game, and under rather specific circumstances. You could of course cheat and try to fire the events, but where's the fun in that?

Along with this is the usual bug fixing and balance dance. Hope you guys are doing great this weekend, and thanks so much for your support!

Hello! Happy 4th of July for those that care, and happy New Patch Day for those that don't. Today has a little bit of something for everyone!

This update represents one of the biggest changes this mod has undergone since I started it, and it was quite the bugger to, er, debug. Basically, I needed to change and simplify the way the mod was organized and that required editing / consolidating / deleting hundreds (!?!) of files. I understand that's just another day in the life for the guys over at Paradox, but I am only a mere (unpaid and undermployed) mortal.

Files are now organized by type / content and put under the new r56 naming convention, instead of by contributing mod. During this process I also cleaned and rewrote a lot of it, as well as engaged in a lot of other shenanigans. There are probably plenty of things I missed and some details to take care of yet, but the bulk of it should now be done. So, without further ado:

General

  • Reorganized / consolidated mod files in common, interface, and localisation folders
  • Numerous code mistakes and unreported conflicts were resolved during the course of reorganization
  • New file system / cleaning means flavor text previously meant to be displayed should now be
  • Removed Finland mod content at the request of the original author
  • Added Mexico to the bookmarks at the request of Murder Mountain
  • Added French-Indochina to the game
  • Events related to Tunisia now use the proper tags
  • Missing art for German ideas added in
  • The Reinhardt program is now a bit cheaper
  • Ethiopia no longer has a double focus regarding Eritrea
  • Communist China should no longer join with the KMT if they are already in an alliance
  • Mexico will no longer try to trigger non-existent events
  • The PRC / KMT have new startup techs
  • Missing text added in various places
  • Removed PRC white peace event and KMT National Treasures event
  • Added checks for leader removal in certain events
  • Fight for a New Reich now has slightly better odds of peace
