Update: Aug 2, 2019 @ 9:14am

Global

- M4A3E8 "Easy Eight" call-in ability changed to a passive unlock. The unlock now replaces the Divisional Support M4A3 Medium Tank with the M4A3E8.

- Replaced the Lieutenant's M1 Carbine with an M1 Thompson SMG.

- Slight change to Urban Assault Company: The Sherman upgrade unlock has been replaced with a passive unlock for M4A3(76) medium tanks. The unlock in turn replaces the Divisional Support M4A3 Medium Tank with the M4A3(76).

- Slight change to Urban Assault Company: Added a passive unlock for the M4A3E2 "Jumbo"**

- Slight change to Mechanized Company: The M4A3E2 "Jumbo" has been replaced with a passive unlock for M4A3(76) medium tanks. The unlock in turn replaces the Divisional Support M4A3 Medium Tank with the M4A3(76).

- Updated map icons / symbols for M4A3(76) Tanks and M4A3(105) Dozers for better unit recognition and identification.*

Designer Notes
---------------------

* Oversights on my part.

** Given the punishing, close quarters nature of urban combat, the "Jumbo" makes more sense here.

Update: Aug 1, 2019 @ 11:46am

Americans
--------------

- Changed .50 Caliber HMG Team call-in ability to a passive unlock. The HMG Team is now available from the Weapon Support building.*

- .50 Caliber HMG Team changed slightly to include an extra rifleman and a Bazooka gunner.

- Reduced frontal and rear armor for M7B1 "Priest" SP Howitzer to 38mm and 20mm respectively.**

- Slight tweaks to AI.

British
--------

- Reduced frontal and rear armor for M7B1 "Priest" SP Howitzer to 38mm and 20mm respectively.**

Designer Notes
---------------------

* This is intended to keep things consistent in terms of availability of team weapons and how they're acquired. Indirectly, it should (hopefully) also get the AI to be more active in terms of picking commanders.

** Yes, 38mm was the thickest plate these vehicles had and the sides were pretty thin. As the M7 Priest was intended to operate behind front lines, this was deemed sufficient to stop small arms fire and most shrapnel. In the face of a armored breakthrough or heavy retaliatory fire though, the Priest would need to relocate. Granted, this does make the Priest substantially weaker when faced with counter-fire - but methinks that's a good thing in terms of balance.

Update: Jul 31, 2019 @ 4:08pm

Americans
--------------

- Return of the pre-made U.S. base. Back by (somewhat) popular demand!

Note - this is a custom base layout and subject to revision as needed / called for. As such, it can be easily modified.

Update: Jul 30, 2019 @ 3:48pm

Global
---------

- Increased build time of most vehicles by 10%.

Americans
--------------

- Divisional Support building now has an icon in the building menu UI showing that the 40mm M1 AA emplacement is available for construction.

British
--------

- Added an "Establish Armoured Squadron HQ" option to the HQ building, allowing players to field the Commonwealth equivalent of a medium tank company if desired. If English is chosen for nationality, 9 Cromwell IV tanks and 3 Sherman Fireflies will be available as Company-level options. Picking any other nationality will unlock Sherman V tanks instead. Note: If either the Commando or Vanguard Regiment commanders are picked, the Armoured Squadron option will be locked out.*

- Added a Motorized Squad as a Brigade-level support option when an Armoured Squadron is chosen. The Motorized Squad is comprised of a Motor Rifle Section mounted in an M5A1 Half-track.

- Divisional / Brigade Support building now has an icon in the building menu UI showing that 40mm Bofors, 17-Pounder, and 25 Pounder Emplacements are available for construction.

- Moved Centaur AA Tank to the HQ. In addition, the vehicle is now an Armoured Squadron option only.**

- Sexton SP Artillery Guns are now a standard Brigade-level support option for Companies of British nationality. They are no longer unlocked via a Commander.

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
------------------------------------

- Changed build time and cost of SdKfz 251/1 "Walking Stuka" to match that of the SdKfz 4/1 Panzerwerfer.***

- Divisional Support building now has an icon in the building menu UI showing that the 105mm leFH 18 emplacement is available for construction (when a Grenadierkompanie is picked).

- Regimental Support building now has an icon in the building menu UI showing that the 2cm FlaK 38 AA emplacement is available for construction.

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
--------------------------------------

- Changed build time and cost of SdKfz 251/1 "Walking Stuka" to match that of the SdKfz 4/1 Panzerwerfer.***

- Divisional Support building now has an icon in the building menu UI showing that the 105mm leFH 18 emplacement is available for construction (when a Grenadierkompanie or Volksgrenadierkompanie is picked).

- Regimental Support building now has an icon in the building menu UI showing that the 2cm FlaK 38 AA emplacement is available for construction.

Soviets
----------

- Divisional Support building now has icons in the building menu UI showing that AA emplacements and 122mm A-19 Field Guns are available for construction.

Designer Notes
---------------------

* The British referred to their tank companies as "Squadrons"and the platoons that composed them as "Troops", with each Troop being composed of 4 tanks: 3 Sherman V's and a Sherman Vc "Firefly" providing overwatch as a dedicated tank killer. The reason for the "Squadron" nomenclature dates back to World War 1, as the very first British tanks were largely developed by the Royal Navy.

** The Centaur served exclusively in the Armoured Divisions, providing mobile AA protection for HQ elements, both at the Regimental and Squadron / Company level. Each HQ typically had a pair of AA tanks at its disposal. This was in addition to the Division's / Brigade's own 40mm Bofors AA guns.

*** I think this is quite fair, given the heavy munition cost required to actually fire the rockets and the overall frailty of the vehicle in the face of direct fire from anything other than most small arms.

Update: Jul 16, 2019 @ 4:34pm

Global
---------

- Addressed a bug where some heavy calibre guns would randomly inflict additional damage on targets.

Americans
--------------

- Increased cap limit of the T26E3 "Pershing" heavy tank from 2 to 4.

Update: Jul 13, 2019 @ 2:20pm

Global
---------

- Fixed an oversight where some medium and heavy tank wrecks could be easily crushed by any tank. Like other tank wrecks, they now require explosives or a Sherman Dozer to clear away / destroy.

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
------------------------------------

- Increased the targetting cursor's width for Fragmentation Bomb runs.

- Reduced the targetting cursor's length for "Walking Stuka" barrage abilities.

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
--------------------------------------

- Increased damage and blast radius of an explosion resulting from an ammo rack detonation of a Sturmtiger.*

- Increased the targetting cursor's width for Fragmentation Bomb runs.

- Reduced the targetting cursor's length for "Walking Stuka" barrage abilities.

Soviets
----------

- Increased the targetting cursor's width for Anti-tank Bomb runs.

Designer Notes
---------------------

* There was an account I heard of a Sturmtiger's crew being ordered to scuttle their own vehicle with explosives after it had become immobilized due to track damage. Figuring that the resulting ammo detonation would likely destroy all nearby buildings and that the vehicle was in a German town, the commander ignored the order and ordered his crew to simply abandon the vehicle. Given the number and size of the rockets and the amount of HE and propellant each packed, I'm really inclined to believe that.

Update: Jul 8, 2019 @ 9:28am

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
------------------------------------

- Increased point of impact damage of 28cm HE Rockets fired by "Walking Stukas" by 50%.*

- Reduced AoE damage of 28cm HE Rockets fired by "Walking Stukas" by 75%.*

- Reduced initial damage of 32cm Incendiary Rockets fired by "Walking Stukas" by 50%.**

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
--------------------------------------

- Increased point of impact damage of 28cm HE Rockets fired by "Walking Stukas" by 50%.*

- Reduced AoE damage of 28cm HE Rockets fired by "Walking Stukas" by 75%.*

- Reduced initial damage of 32cm Incendiary Rockets fired by "Walking Stukas" by 50%.**

Designer Notes
---------------------

* This is intended to give the rockets better point of impact destructive capabilities while at the same time toning down overall blast damage slightly.

** To be honest, the initial damage was a bit TOO good. The rockets are still useful in the area denial and infantry / building killing role though.

Update: Jul 5, 2019 @ 10:33am

Global
---------

- Slight tweaks to squad AI to help improve unit utilization.

Americans
--------------

- Increased burst length of M3 smg's by 50%.

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
--------------------------------------

- Fixed an unintended ommision where SS-Panzergrenadier Sturmgruppen were not available as a company-level option when picking an armored Panzergrenadier company.*

- Fixed an unintended ommision where Incendiary Bottles were unavailable to Grenadier squads as part of the Fire Storm doctrine.

Designer Notes
---------------------

* This is inconsistent with my design intent as Sturmgruppen ARE available to Ostfront armoured SS-Panzergrenadier companies.

Update: Jun 26, 2019 @ 9:19am

Americans
--------------

- Cleaned up UI order for Urban Assault commander options.

- Changed Sherman Urban Assault Kit unlock to match the Combined Arms unlock from another commander. Grants an Field Intercom upgrade that improves a Sherman's combat abilities when infantry are close by.*

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
--------------------------------------

- Slight change to Grand Offensive doctrine: Changed Smoke Bombs ability to a Reconnaissance Overflight ability.

- Cleaned up UI order for commander abilities a bit.

Designer Notes
---------------------

* Shermans get WP shells by default anyway and a single M4A3(105) fitted with a Dozerblade is a standard divisional support option. I'm really reluctant to change this because these things help give the U.S. base roster and capabilities some needed distinctiveness compared to other factions.
