Dynamic Reputation Decay
Dynamic Reputation Decay introduces a new layer of realism to the faction relations system in Avorion by implementing a dynamic reputation decay mechanic. This feature ensures that player actions have lasting consequences, encouraging engagement with factions while also adding a sense of urgency to maintain those relationships.
  • Base Decay Rate: Reputation with factions will decay at a base rate of 200 points per day, promoting regular interaction.
  • Dynamic Scaling: After a specified threshold of 5 hours of in-game time, the decay rate increases up to a maximum of 3,000 points per day, reflecting the growing impact of neglecting relations.
  • Balanced Gameplay: The decay system is designed to prevent excessive punishment for players who take breaks, while still incentivizing them to maintain their connections with factions.
  • Notifications: Players receive in-game notifications about the decay of their relations, keeping them informed and engaged.
  • Decay Reset: If the script detects that a player has interacted with a faction again by gaining any reputation, the decay rate resets back down to default of 100 per day and will not tick again until the player has become inactive with said faction again.

Cosmic Overhaul Patch Update

  • Dynamic Stock Management: Patched up some missing function calls that were throwing backend errors.

What's New?

Dynamic Station Shuttles
  • The base shuttle volume was changed to 50 from the default of 25.
  • Increases the shuttle cargo capacity which allows players to upgrade their shuttle capacity up to 500, incrementing by 50 with each upgrade.
  • The cost of upgrading shuttles is calculated based on the factory's production level and size.
  • The upgrade cost is determined by a function that takes into account the current production and factory size.

Cosmic Overhaul Patch Update

What Changed?
  • Cleaned up additional code.
  • Updated the "Scrapyard Time Limit Removal" feature to ensure compatibility with all DLC's.
  • Increased the cooldown from 15 minutes up to 45 minutes for the "Shop Restock Button" feature.
  • Nerfed the amount of "turrets" displayed in shops as well as the stock (#) amount for each turret type. This is still a work-in-progress so expect additional updates regarding this.

Enhancements to the Restock Shop Button Feature
I am excited to announce significant updates to the Restock Shop Button feature in the Cosmic Overhaul mod.
The following changes have been implemented to enhance player experience and provide clearer feedback regarding restocking mechanics.

Take note that this feature will become a standalone mod very soon for those wanting to use it without the full Cosmic Overhaul package.

New Features
Free Restock System:
  • Players can now utilize 5 free restocks per cycle.
  • Once all 5 free restocks are used, players will enter a 15-minute cooldown before they can restock again.
Cooldown Countdown Timer:
  • Players will now receive a countdown message when attempting to restock during the cooldown period.
  • Instead of a generic cooldown message, players will see: "Restock is on cooldown for X minutes and Y seconds. Please wait."
  • This provides players with clear visibility on how much time remains before they can access the next round of restocks.
How It Works
Using Free Restocks:
At the start of each cycle, players have access to 5 free restocks.
If you do not use all 5 free restocks, the remaining free restocks do not stack after the cooldown period.

Cooldown Activation:
After using all 5 free restocks, a 15-minute cooldown is triggered.
Once the cooldown period is over, players will receive a new set of 5 free restocks.

Remaining Cooldown Notification:
If players attempt to restock before the cooldown ends, they will see a countdown indicating the exact time left until they can restock again.
This helps players plan their gameplay more effectively.

Example Scenarios
Scenario 1: You use all 5 free restocks. After the 5th use, you will enter a 15-minute cooldown. Once the cooldown is over, you will receive a fresh set of 5 free restocks.
You can then use these new free restocks without any cooldown.

Scenario 2: You use only 3 free restocks. After the 3rd use, you will enter the cooldown. Once the cooldown is over, you will still receive 5 free restocks, regardless of how many you did not use. The remaining free restocks do not stack after the cooldown period.

Summary
5 Free Restocks: Start each cycle with 5 free restocks.
Cooldown: After using all 5, a 15-minute cooldown is activated.
Countdown Timer: Players will now see how long they must wait before the next restock opportunity.

Dynamic Stock Management Update:
- The re-release of the previous DSM (Dynamic Stock Management) overhaul with bugfixes and updates.
- Fixed the Procure and Sell commands to properly scale with subsystems and captains.
- Bugfixed other minor issues.

Incompatibilities:
- Any mod that heavily modifies the tradingmanager.lua is incompatible with Cosmic Overhaul due to this economic overhaul update.

- Any mod that heavily modifies Sell, Procure, Trade and any other commands are incompatible with Cosmic Overhaul

Due to a serious bug affecting game play. This feature has been removed and will be re-added in the future upon further bug testing & fixes.

Make sure to Override Mods on your current save before loading to overwrite the changes.
