# V4.0.6 General Patch

Reimplemented the old "Glitch Town" as a tile-unprotected buildable area that you can settle on the Eskhatoan island overworld. A decision was made on the applications of the old township and it was found that it would ultimately be replaced in the future by new Machinarius content with entirely new assets and maps, as the architecture seen in the old "Glitch Town" has essentially been disseminated across GIC as a whole. Reuse was made justifiable with the interest in those who like to fix or simply move into existing structures instead of building completely from scratch. An additional lore codex is also present here.

The left side of the Wildlands Island now also has an additional buildable plot on the rock wall.

General/Fixes:
- Wymond now sells Rollup Cigarettes.
- Added walkway to the left of the Marshland Path to better indicate to new players a potential direction to explore.
- The Wildlands City Mall Notice Board no longer acts as a "bookmark".
- Updated Mars-Pattern Assault Plasma Gun to retcon old "floran" lore with some new post-rapture lore.
- Significantly reduced intensity of Blood Smoke.
- Fixed Sheruto Village incorrect warp config.
- Removed tall stack of crates in the Youkai Mountain Memory - Outer City boss fight, reducing map cheese potential.

- Updated Alliance Combat Helmet Mk.2s hair masking.
- Removed vanilla wheat from Khurtovynan Behemoth Trains.
- Removed Black Gambit from purchase.
- Fixed Greatbow Demon requiring a Halberd Demon to repair. Also reduced "repair" costs.
- Significantly reduced cost of panzerfaust crafting, as the panzerfaust pack already exists and they're not a reliable option in themselves.
- Fixed the final Anaconda ship upgrade incorrectly stating a cost of 60x and not 40x (actual cost) Scrap and Credits.
- Fixed Eskhatoan Mariners using peasant dialogue.
- Tank controllers no longer falsely state that using the MG exposes the gunner to damage. Used to be the case in pre-release but was changed.
- Fixed Sten Gun barrels being incorrectly offset.
- Old AK mags from pre-4.0 now have the legacy item tag. Also fixed ak mag stashes dropping these "fake" magazines, which would refuse to be loaded onto guns.
- .60 Cal Paper Cartridge no longer mentions crits as the Dreyse Needle Gun cannot crit.
- Fixed Dollmaker's Backpack turning into a regular A-Tac7 when moving backwards.
- Fixed the legendary M1911 variant turning into a regular M1911 when accidentally double-tapping SHIFT.
- Removed bayonets from any remaining guns due to nonfunctionality. Also updated the Bastard Rifle's sprite to better match its highres.
- Added Corrosive and Overcharging talismans to Nazrin. These were part of the original Occultist's initiative and supposed to return until the Occultist Archetype returns.
- Fixed Republic Armor Commander's chestpiece not appearing for females.
- Chinese Rice Soup can now be cooked with Rat Meat and Squirrel Meat.
- Eskhatoan Smuggler now sells wheat seeds.
- Colt 1851 Navy highres restored to an older version as the "new" highres is actually a Single-Action Army revolver.
- Razed Siege Arrows no longer stick to the ground, preventing it from dealing damage after having landed.
- Fixed laser sights not working on MG3s.
- G11 4.73x33mm ammunition is now craftable, and their bullets now spawn on Protected. Requires 1x explosive compound instead of 2x gunpowder like other ammo.
- Nazrin now sells rice balls.
- Laser/Light combo attachments now state itself as being underbarrel attachments.
- Fixed Drain Pump only being attachable to the background.
- Increased slot capacity of weapon crates (16 > 32 | 24 > 48)
- Afflicted no longer displays "erchius crystal ore" on its "geological data" category.
- Slightly nerfed Food Supply Dropoff points.

- Updated a myriad lesser item/codex descriptions that still had typos or old retconned lore.

Combat:
- Veil Form parries now count as real parries, and will proc parry effects.
- Afflicted Husks HP 300 > 150 and THERMAL RES -50% > -100%
- Afflicted Flagbearer resistances significantly reduced all-around. Had immense resistances to many things prior.
- Free Company Kraken and Hydra damage nerf.
- MP-41r (German PPSH-41) no longer holds "one in the chamber" as it's an open-bolt weapon.
- Significant damage nerf to the Woodsmen .243 rifle.
- Reduced throwing speed of standard talismans.
- Added Celtic Scutum, Youkai Separatist Pavise, and Legionary Scutum to Nazrin.
- FG42 is now classified as a Battle-Rifle/LMG hybrid, reflecting its real-life confusion of its own identity.
- Crimson Samurai now enters phase 2 at 60% HP instead of 40% HP.

# V4.0.5 General Patch

- Fixed the last shell of a shotgun-type weapon overriding all previous shells i.e if you loaded all buckshot but the last was slug, then all previous rounds would turn into slug. This bug was caused by 4.0's change to guns where they no longer spawn with ammo. - [Sirbucketkicker]

- Tweaked Khurtovynan Rundowns to have 100% chance of spawning every piece that was previously undefined, hopefully fixing generation errors where it'd spawn two dead-ends immediately. Also added fire exits to the spawn zones of each sector.

- Added Armor Lanterns that apply a glow effect to the player for 10 minutes. Can be crafted at a Production Workbench for 1x Scrap Metal and 1x Oil Bottle.

- Reduced size of the GIC species tooltip to reduce risk of overflow with smaller resolution monitors.
- Tweaked Wolf-Guardian Odachi, replacing its 2nd thrust with an overhead slash. Also converts some damage into PSYCHIC now.
- Veteran Archetypes now able to receive his firearm buff from muzzleloaders. This was an oversight.
- Eskhatoan silver coins can now be used to craft pennyshot shells.
- Fixed 8x50mmR typo.
- Updated AKM to retcon leftover 'Drufloran' lore.
- Blackpowder can now be recovered from standard blackpowder ammo.
- Fixed fire arrows causing PANIC on non-crit shots.
- Fixed fire arrow/bolts dealing indiscriminate damage with their own fire (indiscriminate is for the molotov, otherwise it's annoying).
- Added Cross and Orthodox Cross decorative objects at the Production Workbench.
- Moved Flaming Torch to Production Workbench.

Another quick patch. Should be the last "critical" thing for a while. Until the next critical thing. My gosh.

- Fixed incorrect fish type being sold at Wymond and the Eskhatoan Smuggler.
- ||Removed Projection-61's magazine on drop.||
- Fixed M16A2's magazine being weirdly offset.
- Slightly adjusted food tooltip text offset when viewing in a crafting menu.

Quick patch to significantly nerf the Tatara Gunblade's ability damage. Also reduced the Youkai-Stake bleed from 12x150 (1.8k) to 12x40 (480). That's what I get for not actually running the bleed damage numbers properly.

Also fixed Nazrin, ||Bada|| and the Eskhatoan Smuggler selling guns with randomized durability values.

Also removed the Border Gap Grenade because that's an ancient item that barely works and doesn't really have a niche.

No version increased because I can't be bothered. Just pretend it was part of the v4.0.4 patch from the start.

V4.0.4 General Patch

Levels:
- Tweaked the ||Police Station Raid|| in ||Aya's Storyline|| to prevent a softlock that could occur if having managed to ||open the cell|| before being able to complete the quest first.
- Added ability to replay ||Aya's storyline|| by returning to the signpost at the ||office or safehouse.||
- Added missing replay option for the ||Eskhatoan Mountain Castle|| in the event a player deletes or forgets to mark the bonfire.
- Raised walls at Nazrin's first shop on Eskhatos to prevent getting shot at while dialogue is occurring.

General/Fixes:
- Fixed Shogunate and Machinarius Line Infantry uniforms lacking trinket slots. Woops.
- Did an inventory check of ||Bada's|| store at the Bazaar, reducing the price of all things and adding composite arrows and shrapnel bolts.
- Removed bandages from Khurtovynan Resupply Pods.
- Tweaked Wildlands civilians to not use medieval peasant dialogue.
- Fixed some misplaced loot containers in ||Aya's Storyline|| and on Protected.
- Removed vanilla chest spawns from Eskhatos overworld.
- Removed vanilla loot spawns from some older Protected enemies.
- Blood Tanto description updated.
- Nitori now sells Helium-3 Fuel Rods for 5 credits.
- Removed a "locked briefcase" from the Wildlands City that I forgot to get rid of for an ancient scrapped quest.
- Removed loot from old loot tables entirely to prevent old items spawning in places that had slight oversights with loot allocation, especially for older areas.
- Added low-light descriptor for some Khurt headwears that didn't state they had "NVG" functionality.
- Added .raceeffect dummy files to potentially solve crashes with mods that will otherwise crash if they lack this "functionality".
- Fixed ||Projection-61|| rifle not being repairable.
- .577 Cal Snider ammunition no longer displays "crit effects" as it cannot actually crit.
- Fixed M89 having 175% durability when purchased from the Undercolony Black Market.
- Fixed STGW57 being classified as an Assault Rifle instead of a Battle Rifle.
- Fixed Medal of Valor's description inconsistencies.
- Moved ||Soviet Data Log|| (quest item) and ||Sinner's Dagger|| from a literal box spawn into ||Stanislav's|| boss drops.
- Fixed Colt Navy being classified as a medium-weight weapon only when being two-handed.
- Fixed Sinner's Dagger not conferring alt rewards when defeating ||Her Holiness Shiki Eiki.|| The cost was having to rebalance how its damage is handled.
- Added male chest sprite for the Fallen Yamaxanadu Garb. No more pads for men here.

Combat:
- Did a pass of melee weapons and gave them their true damage multiplier values. The "nonpareil" tag was there to make them stand out as "legendary" weapons but that's kinda "eh" when you can't see the exact values you're dealing, so those tags aren't a
thing anymore.
- Retuned the Tatara Gun Blade (also increased ability cooldown 30s > 40s), Nue Trident, and Mole Clan Gun Lance to deal less thrusting damage now due to the fact their moveset is nothing but thrusting. This resulted in them being objectively better than other spears with far higher DPS with no
tradeoff.
- Judgment Longsword now deals PSYCHIC DMG on its thrust attack. Buffed damage to bring it up to other longsword weapons.
- Bellwatcher Greatsword reduced special attack moveset winddown 2s > 1s.
- Fixed blacksmith's hammer incorrectly stating 5x blunt instead of 7x.
- Fixed Ashigaru and Youkai-Hunter Spear incorrectly stating a 7x thrust bonus instead of 5x.
- Scavenger Backpack and Panzerfast Pack now only drop supplies when killing enemy infantry instead of from literally anything. Also boosted the panzerfaust pack's drop rate from 10% to 20%.
- Significant damage nerf to Wymond's pistol to account for extremely fast reload speeds.
- Colonist's Life-Ring (+15 HP) and Vitality Talisman (+25 HP) equalized to now only provide +20 MAX HP each.

Non-Combat:
- Unboiled European Eggs no longer count as "food" which now allows them to stack (vanilla restriction) and no longer rots. Consequently, this means that chicken coops now produce significantly more eggs at once (as food item outputs could not stack otherwise).
- Food Supply Dropoffs now yield unpackable crates to bypass food stack restrictions imposed by vanilla. Re-increased supply delay back to 10-15 minutes.
- Simplified fish meat into a standardized "fish cut" instead of tuna and salmon in order to make cooking simpler and allow more caught fish to be cooked.
- Added GIC-specific wheat crops. None can be found on Garden (due to the harvest crisis) but can be harvested for seeds on the Eskhatoan island overworld. Processed into grain bags. Not to be confused with vanilla wheat (identified via vanilla UI).
- Gave motorized fishing lures a light emission.
- Added Old Concrete to the Bowerbird store (missed this one).
- Added 12v Iceboxes to the Production Workbench for 10x scrap (mini-fridge).
- Added 2x1 Manhole Cover to Production Workbench.
- Added drain pump object (Production Workbench).
- Lowered scrap cost of Sprinkers 15 > 10.

V4.0.3 Hotpatch

- Added additional redundancies/fixes to prevent both real and perceived softlocks during Bada's Caravan questline.

As a reminder; due to GIC's heavy reliance on permanent world states this does mean you will need to delete your universe.dat to reset story progress. We WISH we could have universes and world states tied to your character so it's easier to start a new run but deep below GIC is still the Starbound engine and its limitations we have to work with.

- Added an additional guide piece to the internal guide about resetting world states:
> GIC's heavy reliance on permanent world states comes with the cost of new characters not being able to replay through most quests if the world state isn't reset beforehand. In order to reset, you will need to go to your /starbound/storage/universe/- folder and delete the file called 'universe.dat'. This will reset world states but also delete any bookmarks. It's this reason that it's intended to be done at the same time as starting a new character/run.

- Added an additional guide piece quickly clarifying ammo load order:
> Some weapons are capable of loading multiple different types of ammo. Ammo load order is prioritized starting from the top-left most slot, scanning across the row for the next compatible ammo type before moving down.

- Benzodiazepines no longer mention stress reduction for the Occultist who isn't implemented yet. Instead, added a new effect that staves off any archetype's addictions for 10 minutes.
- Removed a floor anchor requirement for a chest quest finish object on Eskhatos in order to get around an unidentified mod breaking the tile collision of a goddamned table and causing a softlock because of whatever mod's doing that. No, the table isn't broken normally, that's why it went through playtests fine.
- Fixed laser sights not functioning with the M89 Rifle (polymer mosin).
- Raised the sprite of ungrown moonlight herbs slightly so it sticks out of the ground better to indicate being planted.
- Updated the boss-kill trigger system of the ambush section in Bada's Caravan questline to avoid another issue caused by auto-close doors mod. Was the same issue as Haraldr's.
- Fixed text overflow for the STGW57.
- Fixed Supply Dropoff Points crashing on repeat harvests. Harvestable objects apparently do not like it if you use multiple loot pools spawning at once.
- Fixed Armory Supply Dropoff Points showing an incorrect icon | Now only drops weapon parts similarly to its medical counterpart.
- Food Supply Dropoffs can now yield vegetable mixes and wagyu beef required for the Eternal Hunter's Stew (wagyu does not spawn anywhere else, oops). Decreased supply delay from 10-20 minutes to 5-10 minutes.
- Added enemy kill requirement to progress for the first mission in Bada's Caravan.
- Fixed New Londinium Chestpiece showing floating pixels.
- Fixed Ornate Katana Sheath being called Ornate Katana Sheathe (action).
