  • Fixed an issue with Civilians putting pods into a bugged Red Alert state when they should be on Yellow Alert. This should fix some of the "BS Yellow Alert" actions that aliens should not have been allowed to do. Probably results in a net nerf to yellow alert, so yellow alert action chances may be tweaked later if necessary.
  • Properly exclude hero classes from AWC rolls, shouldn't affect much other than helping with the Soldier Conditioning mod.

1.0.5.5 - more small bugfixes and smaller balance tweaks

  • Fixed issue where Intervention was not working properly on some missions.
  • Robots hacked by Full Override are no longer returned to Advent if they get put into stasis.
  • Level 3 bond training time and respec soldier abilities training time cut in half, since they were excessively long.
  • Spectre loot table updated to LW standards, so a net nerf to Spectre loot.
  • Added global RNF bucket config variables to XComLW_Overhaul.ini

  • Added another Abandoned City crate race map based on the "good" one but mirrored, for a different experience. I'm seeing if I can fix the elevated train map to always spawn 12 crates, but running into issues so far with it.

  • Fixed crate spawning on high force level crate races.
  • Fixed issue where Lightning Slash was usable while burning.

If you're running into issues still, force an update, and on the mission, use the RestartLevel console command to regenerate the mission and respawn the crates. They should spawn properly after that.

  • Updated new Crate Race depot parcels to spawn crates more by the depot
  • Redid one of the new plots to play better and provide more spawn possiblities for different approach angles.
  • Revised Crate Race rewards to scale more smoothly as force level increases

  • Steady Weapon now cannot be used when the weapon is out of ammo and needs to reload.

Version 1.0.5 release!

Big performance fix!

  • Mod install checks are now cached when you open the game instead of being run by abilities.
  • This caused performance issues with large modists in two areas: Handling Smoke, and overriding ability colors.
  • This should boost performance in tactical, both reducing lag during/after taking actions, and also remove some stuttering if you aren't using standalone cost-based ability colors.

Crate Race improvements
  • 2 new parcels and 2 reworkd plots to increase mission variety
  • disabled the Abandoned City plot that could spawn inaccessible crates or less than 12 crates - done by user request.
  • Rebalanced the rewards. Early game crate race missions shouldn't suck so much now. FL 1-4 crate races will have expected value between a FL 1-2 and FL 3-5 smash n grab. FL 5-14 crate races now have expected value slightly below a FL 9-11 smash n grab. I may make the brackets more granular in the future, working with the existing reward buckets for now. FL 15+ were slightly toned down a bit as they're already more rewards than the expected for FL 18+ smash n grab.

Config note: If you want the Abandoned City plot back, just delete or comment out line 7 in XComPlots.ini

Version 1.0.4.6:

Fixed more black texture issues with more cooking:

  • Templar Shields
  • Chryssalid Soldier and Hive Queen
  • Combat Knives

    Saves another 200MB on the mod size as well, so we're below 3GB now. Not sure why the textures are randomly breaking, but things being weird I guess.

  • Defaulted MCM setting for Show Aim Assist to off.
  • Removed focus kill tracker from Templar Focus until I get a better method of ensuring kills don't grant focus because config isn't enforcing it well enough.

  • Fixed Cyclic Fire from being usable while burning.
  • Added LWOTC_Fix_HealSelectedUnit console command, which heals the currently selected unit in the armory. Use this if you have bugged robotics units that aren't healing.
