Added: vanilla attachment (up to 500kph which should be plenty XD) so roadtrip is no longer required

Fixed: inheritance issue causing 3rd person camera fix to not work on all colour variants.

Added: OnDebugSpawn script so that when spawned in with Community online tools it will have doors,wheels ect.

Removed: all redundent classes that were left in (the ones that had map names in the classname) when i updated to auto map detection in 2022 and changed over to just using the 3 colour classes (plus 3 auto varients) servers have had a year and a half to swap over to the other classes.

Removed: unused/not needed script files.

fixed???? maybe: added back in the original way i did the third person camera aswell as the new way i added yesterday

The one i added yesterday was to fix the camera when used with expansion and i also tested without on multiple maps and it was fine but there was reports that it was now broken on some other servers (probably some other mod compatability issue ) so now with both ways of setting the camera in the script it will hopefully fix the senarios that got broken by yesterdays update....

i was unable to replicate the issue so i cant be sure but it worked before the update so adding both ways should fix it i hope.

Fixed: Expansion breaking the 3rd person camera....

Added: as requested, map for nhchernobyl, not as accurate as id like but its close enough you can tell where you are, takes forever to test and adjust its accurate the further east on the map you go so clearly the map image needs resizing... which ironicly seems the most empty part of the map. but as i cant find 1 server running both nhchernobyl and gunnertruck im not that bothered....

Truck / truck wheels falling through the ground should now be fixed iv got it to the point i have not had it happen since doing the latest tweaks. but let me know in the comments as i have said before i dont use this mod myself on the servers i run/admin.
I have also added Automatic varients of the truck:
GunnerTruck_Auto
GunnerTruckWhite_Auto
GunnerTruckTan_Auto

I have also updated the xml files ect again they should be fine as iv just copied the others and changed the vehicle names to the automatic versions but let me know if you find any issues.

Small update,

Fixed:
Spare wheel was not removable regardless of trunk door open or closed.


Apologies i dont like pushing small updates but i didnt realise that the spare wheel wasnt removable untill i was working on a vehicle im importing and saw that it couldnt be removed even though i did it the same way i had on this.

It turns out as BI have added spare wheels in vanilla now they seem to have changed the way it is handled for anything that inherits from the carwheel script.

I know with wheels not being able to be removed currently its kind of a pointless thing but i have seen people on servers selling spare wheels to make money ect so thought id push the update now as when they allow wheels to be removed it will need to be sorted anyway might as well do it now.

From what i have seen this is a problem that effects all modded vehicles on the workshop right now i loaded all the ones with spare wheels into my test server and tested it and i have posted the fix in some modding discords so people know its an issue and how i sorted it.

Quick update to remove the geometry of the top boxed area where you stand to shoot from as it caused issues with some BaseBuildingPlus gates

Also removed xml files that were no longer needed

I WILL SAY THIS FIRST BEFORE I GET INTO THE UPDATED THINGS, THIS IS BASICALLY A TEMPORARY UPDATE TO GET THE NEW 1.19 SIMULATION CHANGES IN SO THAT THE TRUCK WORKS.

There is a small issue i was waiting for the devs to release documentation for the new vehicle simulation (it was ment to be released 2 weeks ago) but it was anounced a day or so ago that because of bug fixing the documentation wont be out before 1.19 releases. (this is not a dig at them they have clearly had lots to do and this update is awesome im just letting you know there will be another update/fix at some point soon)



Updated and added.

  • You only need to use GunnerTruck and GunnerTruckWhite and GunnerTruckTan now as it will detect the map you are on and as long as i have done the map for it and its in the config it will display the correct texture for the map you are on when you get in the drivers seat. For now i have left the other class names in as to not cause issues if people do not wipe or do not read this(redundant classes will be removed in the future).
  • Changed over to the new 1.19 vehicle simulation
  • Updated Deerisle, Namalsk and Livonia maps
  • Added Iztek, Pripyat and Banov
  • added a no signal texture for the gps so that when it first spawns/is bought it dosnt show the map then you get in the drivers seat and it shows the map you are playing on. the main reason for adding this is so that if it is used on a map that is not in the config it will display that rather than the wrong map.
  • improved handling/grip a little
  • Lowered the top speed a bit from 225 or 250 whatever it was before down to around 180 still fairly quick but slower than it was i few people complained it was too fast, so it now accelerates a little slower and dosnt go as fast, not alot slower just a bit
  • Fixed the reving to red line issue while accelerating holding the boost button
  • extended the geometry (hit box) as if you drove up to a wall the front could clip into it slightly, similar was done with the wheel arches
  • added geometry to the top boxed area where you stand to shoot from as that didnt have a hit box
  • Probably other little bits i have forgotten.

Known issues.

  • Currently the map and position lines are perminantly illuminated since changing to seperate selections per map texture for the map detection script this is hopefully a tempory fix as i cant get it to illuminate with turning the lights on for some reason currently like it was before making it useless at night.
  • Currently for some reason since the 1.19 simulation changes the wheels can sometimes clip through the floor... this mainly happens when you crash and hit something to overcome this i have upped the suspension damping and stiffness, so it can be a bouncy ride. untill dayz devs release the documentation for the new simulation and hopefully i will be able to fix it properly as it didnt do it in the old simulation.



By the next time i update i will have these changes aswell as above issues fixed.

  • added windows that can be shot through with large caliber weapons
  • Doors and thinner parts of the body that are metal able to be shot through with large caliber weapons
  • I was thinking about making it so that it is configurable by the server owner wether or not the gps is used, so i would have it be on like it is now by default but if the server owner wanted they could disable it.
  • I also would like to either have it so it checks for a GPS Reciever on the player or maybe in a slot on the truck for the nav to work and again have it configurable by the server owner if this is required for it to work or not.
I would also like to get the damage system for the car working so that it transfers damage to the vehicle when you crash but that will be alot more work yet unfortunatly and may not make it into the next update but will be working on it.

Small update to fix inventory not showing unless hood was open. I dont like doing small updates if i can help it but thought best to get it fixed so that

Fixed:
Inventory not showing unless Hood/Grill was open since 1.15 now the inventory is only hidden if the trunk is closed. (i had changed something in the script while testing before when hiding cargo didnt work and forgot to change it back, hasnt been a problem untill they fixed it in 1.15 so sorry about that).
Trunk door being removable while spare wheel was attached if using white or tan trunk door leaving the spare wheel floating in the open position.

Added the expansion market files into the xml folder for anyone needing those.

Future:
Planning to do an update at some point to sort out the fact its basicly impenetrable, the main goal is to make it so that truck takes damage but has a fair amount of health as it is an armoured truck, i havnt done vehicle damage systems before so it may be a while as i have to work out what i need to do so it works as i want it to. probably in the short term i will make it so that the windows (possibly the doors aswell) can be penetrated by larger caliber weapons.

Also planning to add banov map varient if i had a little more time i would have done it but i have to add it in install banov on a test server and test it to make sure its accurate aswell but thought it was best to get this fix out first.

hoping to make it so that in the future theres just the 3 colour varients and it will know which map to use automatically rather than having 3 colour varients for each map. If i get this part of the script sorted i will probably give notice in the change notes saying you have x amount of time and keep all the varients in for a few game updates to allow servers to swap over without loosing their trucks on the server. we shall see when the time comes.
