Update for Project Eden: (Build 23

Project Eden:
  • Fixed incorrect regeneration settings for dense and rich ice and asteroids (was 4,320 instead of 4320). Please update the scenario on your server to apply this change!

  • Added missing parameter LandClaimZone: Device to EdenMoonMethane2.
  • Reduced energy in of fully grown hydroponics bays from 25 > 20 to match growing ones.
  • Thermal Lance damage massively buffed and damage modifier versus combat steel, armored concrete, and alien blocks greatly increased. CPU rebalanced. Block limit increased from 1 to 2.
  • Added clone chamber and medical bay to portals on Haven/Gaia/Persephone. No idea if this will actually let you respawn there though.
    A reminder: you are responsible for choosing your respawn location. I cannot be held responsible for people who select a respawn location that puts them in harms way or gets them stuck. Double check your spawn location!
  • Fixed broken item in alien container in Long Range Relay.
  • Replaced crawlers with ripper dogs on Irradiated planets to prevent reputation loss with Talon.

  • (Reforged) Fixed broken entry for SV thrusters in Colonists Scrapyards.
  • (Reforged) Removed Sector Command from barren metal planets.

Update for Project Eden: (Build 22)

Project Eden:
  • LX-2 Prototype Light Railgun damage 45000 > 50000. Hull, hullarmored, hullcombat damage 2/1.5/1 > 2/2/2. CPU 150000 > 125000. This might be too good of a buff so further changes may happen.
  • Heavy Blaster Cannon damage 1500 > 2000. hull/hullarmored/concrete damage modifier 2 > 1.5. Shield damage modifier 0.03 > 0.02. Max count 4 > 6.
  • Modulated Beam Turrets (Microwave) damage and shield damage reduced. Entity damage increased.
  • Modulated Beam Turrets (Gamma) overall damage doubled. Shield damage modifier 0.5 > 0.6.

  • Augmented Shield Generator shield per pentaxid 250 > 1000.
  • Auxiliary Core Shield: max shield 7500 > 5000. Energyin 1000 > 1500. These were made before the shield upgrade changes in RG and these changes help make them be better balanced.
  • Removed modulated frequency crystals from very rare and ultra rare loot groups. Increased probability of implants. Added silver powder to very rare containers.
  • Tweaked salvaged drone processor deconstructor template. Now gives a small and large optronic matrix and bridge (2 for Reforged) and 5 semiconductors per 100 salvaged drone processors.
  • Updated description of X-Corp PR-65A Plasma Rifle to highlight that it cannot be reloaded. Nobody reads anyway.
  • Greatly reduced POI count on Progenitor core worlds in an attempt to solve a rare case of the core access POI not spawning.
  • Clarified the introduction on non-mission starting planets to clarify that yes, it is true, you cannot complete the story missions on the planets that show they have no story missions. Because nobody reads.
  • Increased market price of voidium scanners and drill.


  • (Reforged) Added Ghyst Facility O-9 POI to alien planets in Zirax territory as a rare spawn (thanks to Vollinger).
  • (Reforged) Added Polaris or Colonists factories to most barren type moons.

Update for Project Eden: (no build change)

Project Eden:
  • Removed coolant from quantum computer recipe.
  • Lowered energy use of industrial autominers from 400 to 300 so fuel lasts longer.
  • Reduced mass and volume of tungsten ore and ingots.
  • Reduced cost of silver powder from 1000 silver ore to 500 silver ore. Increased Dronite silver powder yield from 1 to 2.
  • Added silver ore to a couple more planet and moon types.
  • Reduced semiconductor silver cost from 5 to 4, gold cost from 8 to 6.
  • Last step of The Progenitors mission now requires you to open the PDA to obtain your reward to help prevent missing rewards on servers.
  • Fixed missing spawn name on ARC Secure Supply Cache.
  • Increased spawn chances of secure supply caches in trade station sectors.

  • (Reforged) Added Zirax factories to a few planets and moons.

  • Fixed missing voidium crystals. (Will not update existing voidium formations that are already broken)
  • Added recipe for swarm launcher missiles.
  • (Reforged) Set unused playfields to PvE to resolve merge conflicts.

Update for Project Eden: (build 21)

Project Eden:
  • Warp Core Moonshine now requires fruit instead of space oranges.
  • Silver nugget yield increased from 75-125 to 100-200.
  • Crafting time of silver powder reduced from 60 to 10.
  • Auxiliary Core quantum computer cost reduced from 10 to 8.
  • Semiconductor gold ingot cost reduced from 10 to 8.
  • Doubled deuterium yield from dense ice asteroids from 1 to 2 and rich ice asteroids from 2 to 4.
  • Clarified description of tungsten and silver in the Empyriopedia.
  • Adjusted blueprints for tungsten deposits to add more ore nuggets to help people find them.
  • Inefficient mining turrets can now be salvaged from NPC mining ships. Adjusted crafting template and volume. Now allowed in blueprint.

  • Gauss vulcan turret now allowed in blueprints.
  • Cruise launcher and emp cruise launcher max limit increased from 4 to 12.
  • Cruise missile impact damage increased from 19440 to 21600.
  • EMP cruise missile damage increased from 2500 to 2750.
  • Heavy blaster cannon shield hp reduction reduced from 4000 to 2500 (PE only). Removed shield recharge penalty. Increased damage from 1200 to 1500.
  • Modulated Infrared laser range decreased from 600/750 to 500/700.
  • Modulated Gamma laser range increased from 200/250 to 250/300. Shield damage modifier increased from 0.175 to 0.2.
  • Reverted Abandoned Tomb blueprint to fix missing loot (hopefully for real this time).

  • (Reforged) Cruise missile damage modifier to shields lowered from 0.05 to 0.02.
  • (Reforged) Replaced POI group TraderMain with TraderMainRG.
  • (Reforged) Fixed corrupted Trade Station Citrine blueprint.

Project Eden Build 20:
This is a huge update to the scenario. Expect some hot fixing over the next few weeks to fix bugs and balance issues that are reported.
A new save game is strongly recommended to get new content and avoid issues. Old save games may encounter issues that will not be able to be fixed.

Highlights:
  • New asteroid mining.
  • Updated Empyriopedia.
  • New weapons and devices.
  • CPU balancing.
  • Many other changes.


Some blueprints may need to be updated to adapt to the changes, please understand that updating older blueprints is a necessary part of playing an in-development custom scenario in an in-development game.

If you find your favorite weapons aren't doing as well as they used to for the CPU this may be because they are better balanced OR it may be because they need some buffing. Likewise some weapons may be too good and will need to be brought down a bit. This is unfortunately something that a test scenario can only do so much about. Real feedback from real games is needed so not everything may be balanced yet.

I hope everyone enjoys this update and please post in the troubleshooting discussion if you encounter any issues or have feedback! Expect that we'll make changes as people start playing through the scenario. Thank you all so much.


A general reminder on scenario updates:
A new save game is not mandatory unless otherwise stated. It is your choice or the choice of your server owner whether to continue an existing save game or start a new one.
It may take Steam some time to update the scenario. You may have to perform a file validation in Steam to force the download.
Please make sure your local copy is updated before copying the scenario's files to update your server and that your FTP client is set to binary transfer mode.
I cannot assist with troubleshooting server updates.

Project Eden (Build 15):
  • Added holiday items to UCH Quartermasters.
  • Updated UCH Research Vessels with Christmas Trees.
  • Updated water blocks with settings for the new water.

A large scenario update is planned in a few months (early 2022):
The scenario should still work fine for now and you can resume your existing save games but you will not get most of the changes from the Empyrion 1.7 update until the scenario is updated.
You may encounter unexpected issues in the meantime.

There is currently a bug with some custom effects that causes error spam in-game.
I've reported it so hopefully it can get fixed but in the mean time please make sure to fully exit the game when you stop playing.
If you quit back to the main menu then resume a save game or join a server without fully restarting the game you may encounter error spam in combat.

I updated the loading screen notes to notify people about this.
