Version 1.18.0.a Hotfix "Scholar-Gentry"

  • Removed the hostility doctrine effects of the Buddhist Canon doctrines, to prevent situations like the Maitreyist faith seeing everyone else as righteous
  • RICE activities are now greyed out when you recently attended them, and show how long the cooldown is for, to be consistent with recent changes to vanilla’s activities
  • Rebalanced costs of decisions for the Temple of Yue Fei, Su Causeway, Qiantang River Seawall, and West Lake improvements

  • All East Slavic cultures now start with Communal Lands, to represent the custom of Toloka or communal agricultural work
  • Made the Yufirid dynasty mostly Himyarite in 867 (thanks to Msl229 from the Rajas of Asia team for the tip)
  • Gave Lin Deng the Venerated Ancestor trait
  • Changed Khuzi to be a hybrid of Elymaean and Mashriqi
  • Iron Forest now has Cataphract Archer MAA art
  • Disabled Silk Road community decisions for landless admin nobles
  • Gave some RICE special buildings the is_mountain and travel_point_of_interest_stress_relief flags recently added in vanilla as appropriate
  • AI emperors/hegemons will now never take the Nile Empire decision, to prevent weird situations like the Mongols taking the decision causing an Empire "None of" in Egypt and Nubia
  • Siculo-Arabic culture counties will now exist in Sicily in the 10th century and not just afterwards, if playing with mods that add in such start dates
  • Updated some innovations’ different associated skills, akin to vanilla's recent changes
  • Removed an extra trait from Ibn Tulun
  • Various tweaks to cultures’ graphical code to ensure consistency between RICE and RICE+EPE compatch versions
  • Tweaked maximum values of Renown gain for the "Ancestor Veneration" activity to make more sense

  • Decision to Compile the First Turkish Dictionary now requires having a culture with the Turkic language rather than heritage
  • Nerfed Sawdan’s starting army in 867 slightly
  • Nerfed the potential amount of gold gained from merchant travel events
  • Failing to negotiate for extra money during merchant travel events now gives stress, especially if you have certain traits
  • Baqt situation will no longer exist for pre-Islamic start dates (if running a mod that adds in early start dates)
  • In 1066 and 1178 start dates, Daju rulers now start with castle holdings rather than tribal
  • Tweaked values of the Pithipati of Bodh Gaya modifier

  • Added effect to ensure spouses and children of newly added rulers don’t start off in random courts at game start
  • Added language to all Aspiration text indicating that Aspiration completion is calculated at the beginning of the year

  • Most of RICE’s travel options now cost some herd if you’re nomadic, to be consistent with vanilla’s travel options
  • Replaced various religious terms for Slavic pagan faiths with more historically researched ones (thanks to msl229 for the information/research and code)
  • Tweaked language for triggers for various RICE travel options
  • The merchant trade events while traveling now show you how many successes you’ve had even after you gotten the trait
  • al-Umari now has the deceitful trait instead of brave
  • al-Umari now starts with the Adventurer, Gallowsbait, and Reaver traits
  • Changed localization of Wenmo to Wamo (it is still the same in the code)
  • Changed al-Umari starting event chain in 867 to have an option for him to become a tributary rather than a vassal of the Tulunids at game start
  • Changed many location-based activities for landless adventurers to require them having their camp on the location, as a fix for a potential issue where the activity would automatically end if they had no guests (thanks to pharaox for the assistance with this!)
  • Matter of Britain tradition now increases legend spread chance
  • Ubiquity of Poetry tradition now increases legend spread chance
  • Changed Bengali/Gauda culture’s Seafarers tradition to Maritime Mercantilism
  • Changed Turko-Hephthalite heritage to Turkic
  • Changed al-Wahshiyya’s family name to al-Altayawi

  • Changed West Himalayan religion to share deity localization with Bon, rather than Mundhumism
  • Hephthalite culture now has Devoted Horsemanship if Khans of the Steppe DLC is detected instead of Malleable Invasions
  • Khalaj culture now has Frontier Warriors instead of Futuwaa tradition if Legacy of Persia DLC is detected
  • Changthang Nomads, Cattle Kraals, and Bantu Migrators traditions now provides bonuses related to nomads/herds
  • Munya Estates tradition is now available for hybrid/divergent cultures outside of Iberia if the parent culture has it

  • All faiths with the Liberation of Light doctrine now also start with The Hidden Light doctrine in later start dates
  • Increased cooldown for the Manichean confession decision to three years
  • Temporary fix for potential CTD when playing as Zhang Huaishen in 867 and choosing to send yourself as a Tang hostage, or not sending anyone, by disabling those options for players
  • Fixed missing localization for the historical context tooltip of the Bezeklik Pilgrimage
