Version 1.16.0.a Hotfix for "Buddha of Light"

  • Added some missing Spanish localization, courtesy of Ferchu
  • Added event when creating a new faith with Gnosticism that previously didn’t have it to choose its purification doctrine
  • All faiths with the Liberation of Light doctrine now also start with The Hidden Light doctrine in later start dates
  • Increased cooldown for the Manichean confession decision to three years
  • Temporary fix for potential CTD when playing as Zhang Huaishen in 867 and choosing to send yourself as a Tang hostage, or not sending anyone, by disabling those options for players
  • Fixed missing localization for the historical context tooltip of the Bezeklik Pilgrimage
  • Fixed newly created faiths not losing or gaining purification doctrines as appropriate when removing or adding the Gnostic tenet

  • Split eastern 867 and 1066 bookmarks into two (MidEastern and Eastern), partly in preparation for All Under Heaven
  • Western Liao are no longer administrative in 1178, to be consistent with vanilla making them nomads
  • Li Shichang, Mahmud Yalavach, and Mansur ibn Mahmud al-Uzgandi are now adventurers in 1178 (once PI releases All Under Heaven along with the special admin gov’t for the Liao, they’ll be made admin vassals of Liao again)
  • Purification doctrines are now also available to non-Dualist faiths with the Gnostic tenet
  • Added Religious Patronage tradition to French culture (if there’s an available tradition slot)
  • Added Agrarian tradition to the Severian culture so it is consistent with the traditions given to Ilmenians and Volhynians from vanilla
  • Added a few remnant Slavic pagan counties in East Slavic lands in 1066 and to a much lesser extent 1178
  • Vanilla’s Tribes of the North tradition has been added to RICE’s Siberian cultures if you have the Khans of the Steppe DLC
  • Removed Genghis Khan as a bookmarked character since he’s now a vanilla bookmarked character
  • Tweaked starting army of the Western Liao to include some of vanilla’s new nomad MAAs
  • Decision to Alter the Shrine of Santiago can no longer be taken if you have the forbidden pilgrimage doctrine
  • Revamped some decision art, credits to DrStein(Selva)
  • Removed ability to do the Silk Road decision if your liege has counties in the Silk Road region (to prevent, for instance, someone in Sardinia ruled by the ERE from taking it since the Emperor has counties in the Levant)
  • Nerfed the Akhtarveniks tradition
  • May have fixed Rus override game rule not working if you enabled it, not sure if the fix works however
  • Fixed Votive Offerings not being available as an activity option for the local pilgrimage to Tapama Djenepo’s tomb
  • Fixed some RICE adventurer titles not being destroyed if game rule to remove RICE adventurers is on
  • Fixed Maganoist faith (i.e. Sidama paganism) having a different name if it is reformed
  • Fixed potential source of error log errors from non-landed rulers converting to other faiths at game start

Version 1.15.0 "Ladakh"

Ladakh is a region straddling eastern Kashmir and western Tibet. Historically, it was located at a strategic crossroads between many different civilizations, kingdoms, and religions.

  • Added Azjur al-Turki (867) and Margaret of Beverley (1178) as bookmarked landless characters, along with their own starting flavor events and unique modifiers
  • Added unique helmet artifact for Margaret of Beverley: Cooking Pot Helmet
  • Added preset dna/appearance for Margaret of Beverley and her brother Thomas
  • Added preset COAs for Margaret of Beverley and Azjur al-Turki
  • Added inaccessible placeholder innovations in the code (for future proofing save game compatibility issues when adding innovations mid-game)
  • Added a Host Palio Race struggle catalyst for the Sicily Struggle
  • Added game rule to override other mods’ East Slavic/Rus culture setup if you prefer RICE’s setup instead of other mods like Baptism of Rus
  • Tweaked starting stats of Azjur al-Turki and Margaret of Beverley
  • When the Sicilian struggle restarts, any cultures or faiths with at least one ruler who owns a county in the Sicily struggle region will become automatically involved (as a stopgap measure to fix how cultures/faiths previously in the struggle don’t become re-involved when the struggle restarts)
  • Tweaked Tarim Basin history setup to have better compatibility with the HM Invasion Expand mod
  • Medical School of Salerno modifier will now be placed in Salerno even if another mod adds in a unique building (otherwise, the associated decision wouldn’t have worked)
  • Removed the Liminality dynasty perk struggle catalyst from the Sicily Struggle
  • Land of Towns tradition now enables travel along major rivers (non-Baptism of Rus version)
  • Expanded Skiing region and innovations to various parts and cultures of Siberia and Eastern Europe
  • Natkokwe/Burmese paganism no longer added to the map if playing with More Bookmarks Plus for better compatibility
  • Turco-Hephthalite changed to Turko-Hephthalite to be consistent with vanilla culture names which use “Turko” rather than “Turco”
  • Japheth ibn Bundar and his father (Bundar) now start with the Silk Road merchant traits
  • Tweaked language of the requirement to control various duchies for the Decision to Restore the Tuyuhun Kingdom to look less messy
  • Highest rank of the Merchant traits now increase max language learning schemes instead of a bonus to language schemes
  • Fixed Bundar not being Japheth ibn Bundar’s father
  • Fixed Encourage Settlement option of the Volga-Dnieper trade decision no longer displaying culture/faith conversion text erroneously by hiding it
  • Fixed Volga-Dnieper trade travel option potentially creating a merchant with a Silk Road merchant trait instead of the Volga-Dnieper trait

Version 1.14.2.a Hotfix for "Rus"

  • Added failsafe for make sure Rus emergence decision doesn’t appear if Rus culture already exists on map (due to other mods or game rules, for example)
  • Buffed language learning bonus for merchant traits slightly
  • Tweaked how Volhynian culture is placed on the map in 867
  • Tweaked Slavic idol effect slightly to avoid duplicate entries in the script if using Baptism of Rus
  • Made AI even less likely to take the decisions to collaborate with pirates now (they rarely do anyhow)

  • Added Galicia-Volhynia Flavor Pack
  • Added 6 soundtracks for the Galicia-Volhynia Flavor Pack, 2 for the Mordvin Flavor Pack, and 2 for the Siberia Flavor Pack
  • Added new loc specifying which struggle you have to be part of for struggle ending decisions to avoid confusion, since vanilla won’t fix only referring to the Persian struggle for whatever reason and it’s been too long
  • Added Iron Forest as a special cavalry MAA for cultures with the Image of China tradition (aka the Khitan)
  • Khitan Emperor in 1178 now starts with some Iron Forest in his starting bonus army
  • Ostyak/Khanty culture now starts with the Siberian Survivalism tradition
  • Ugro-Permian heritage now has access to the Siberian Survivalism tradition
  • Allowed interlopers in the Normandy struggle to do the Outsider’s Yoke ending decision if they meet a legitimacy requirement
  • Made Guiyi the de jure liege of Guazhou, Ganzhou, and Aksay in 867, and de jure part of the Empire of Tibet, as a temporary stop gap measure to fix issues with Admin government when Guiyi is a titular title
  • Fixed legend from founding the Tuareg Empire of Air referencing the Tuyuhun Kingdom instead
  • Fixed potential bug where a Silk Road merchant spawns with Akom faith if it’s from the steppe community

  • Added semi-fictitious non-Islamic Pamiri vassals for Badakhshan in Shughnan and Wakhan in 1066
  • Renamed Buddhist vassal of the Samanids in 867 from the fictitious name to Humar, who is an attested non-Muslim ruler in the region around that time period
  • Thabit ibn Qurra’s wife is now also Syriac like he is if he chooses a Harranian wife in his event chain

  • Buffed victory chances in Palios from various Palio modifiers

  • There’s now some slight variety with how much control or development you might lose from Sicilian stronghold raids
  • Buffed the last two perks of the Sicilian Liminality Dynasty legacy

  • Chronic Ifriqyan Famines modifiers no longer last forever, instead they last for 30 years from the 1066 start date

  • Fixed the Sicilian decision to support Salerno’s medical school not actually deducting gold costs
