Fully tested 1.5 Update is ready. Many cosmetic problems still remain, but the mod is now functionally up-to-date for the time being.
As per the system agreed upon, 1.4 will be moved to a dedicated legacy branch on October 15th, 2024.

-No defs have been added or removed. No defnames have been changed.
-Text in About.xml have been updated. No other player-facing text has been changed.
-The backstories have had the baseDesc tag changed to description. No text changes.
-Apparel restriction whitelist has been expanded, but these restrictions can always be disabled in mod settings.
-The defname translator has been retired, it slows load time and is very much likely to no longer be useful.

Devs:
The Assembly .csproj has been updated outside of the version number, please ensure to update your local copy.
CONTRIBUTING has been updated, the testing battery and general rules have had minor edits.

Thanks again to Erdelf for his help with the silhouette graphics! That was a real headache.

I will say again, that I am looking for as much feedback as possible so I have a big TODO list for when mid May comes around.

Update for compatibility to the last 1.4 Version.
1.5 Update is in the works, waiting on more development with Humanoid Alien Races.
You can try the updated mod now by downloading the staging branch from the Gitgud repo. However there are still errors that may or may not be save breaking.

No new content will be added until May, where I will have free time.

- Changes to language files were made, but were only on Apini names.

Rebuilt the assembly to let mod settings work again. Be sure to restart the game for the settings to take effect!

Also, I am on hiatus until May. so do not expect much to get done until then. Sorry!
Afterwards I will have the time to get plenty done, as a resut, I am looking for ideas. Please line up a bunch of feature requests at https://gitgud.io/Jack7D1/Rimworld-Apini, or leave it in the discussion thread. I make no promise it will be implemented, but if I like it I'll give it a try!

Recompile the the assembly to fix some reference errors with Harmony.
Remove harmony dll from the assemblies (already a dependancy, having a duplicate dll loaded is asking for trouble).
Moobee larvae no longer act like actual babies, making them move and eat on their own again.
This was due to moobees using the first few lifestages as Apini, an issue as old as moobees themselves (almost 10 years!).
This wasn't an issue until nighzmarquls's biotech patch included in #137 made the lifestages less generic.
So now moobees have their own lifestages.

Fix Drone and skin tone bugs
Add some compatibility for Biotech
A bunch of stats tweaks across all races.
Combat extended patch update.

Includes some small cleanups and end of 1.3 support, legacy branch is created.

Also, I have been facing difficulty in figurine out a few issues with the mod.

DESYNCING HOTFIX:
This update is not from the repo.

Created new inverted settings for Apini trait restrictions and insect diplomacy features until a proper fix can be made.
These features are now opt in rather than opt out.
Should fix the issue of the mod interfering with other mods and even the core game relating to these features.
These settings will be removed and your original settings restored once a proper fix comes about.
You can choose to opt-in if you don't care about the effect of these functions outside of the mod.

Hello!
This update adds mod options and lays the framework for easy additions, due to the fact they make modifications to the def database you will need to restart your game for a change in settings to take effect.

They are:
Disable Apparel Restrictions, apini can now wear all apparel.
Disable Building Restrictions, All races can build apini buildings.
Disable Planting Restrictions, All races can plant apini plants.
Disable Disallowed Traits, sexual traits and other lorewise disabled traits are no longer force disabled.
Disable Insect Diplomacy, makes insect relations the same as classic (always hostile).
Disable apini smokeleaf allergy, apini no longer suffer from asthma attacks when smoking (should also count tobacco in other mods but I'm not able to tell for sure).

Hopefully with these options you are able to better customize your experience to your liking!
