Reforged Galaxy v1.5-81
Minor Update before RE

This is mostly for bugfixes and adding a bit of extra content before Reforged Eden hits

  • Minor Bugfixes and Balancing
  • Fixed incorrect CPU display on Sentry Gun parentblock.
  • Added new Weapon Icons for the zirax weapons (again) since they seem to have gone missing in the last update.
  • New Icon for the UCH Keycard and Texture and Color Tool (Thanks to IG Baron)
  • New Icons for the Submachine Guns.
  • Posters can now be found in Lockers and Closets.
  • Fixed HP and XP yield from rocks on the arid planet. (XP now scales up correctly with size instead of getting 50XP for big rocks instead of 200+)
  • Fixed symmetry placement of SV wings and 2x1 angled windows.
  • Added new rare item: Starhawk Heavy Pistol. This is a powerful 50.Cal handgun that will give your wrist a workout and any offending zirax a few extra holes to breathe through.
  • Reduced Mass of SV Cargo Containers. A relic of times past. (50/100kg > 12/24kg)
  • Heidelberg is no longer Admin Cored, but comes with a trade-off.
  • Reduced the reload time of all handheld weapons and tools (will probably go back up a bit in 1.6 for the class system i'm planning to add)
  • Zirax Commanders now have their own unique droplist, which includes the new Starhawk.
  • Maximum teleport distance for Base Teleporters has been increased to 50LY.
  • Empyriopedia - Ecology of Empyrion: Unlocking creature entries give Unlock Points.
  • Mechanical Drill (handheld) can now flatten terrain.
  • Added new Zirax Space POIs to replace the old and busted ones.
  • Xenu Mainframe is once again hidden on the minimap until you've teleported to it via Radar Station.
  • Added new 8000L Large Cargo and Harvest Containers for HV and SV.

Update to Empyrion 1.5

This one was a pain in the ass to do. It's still not working 100% correctly (due to bugs with entity spawning and localization breaks) and because I needed to make new POIs for the pirate missions, only one of the new ones were added with the next two missions coming somewhere in the next few weeks in a hotfix/minor update.

  • Added Empyriopedia entries for Flora and Fauna (unlocked when you kill the creature)
  • Added Herobrine back after much debate
  • Renamed multiple wildlife creatures so as to not match their model name from the Unity Store.
  • Trial version of Space Base Attacks.
  • Moved MainStory variable in Xenu Mainframe to the start of timed dialogue exchanges to prevent missing variables when players reach the end (Please don't click the X or press ESC while the dialogue is ongoing)
  • Updated the Kullervo (ilmarinen) again, made it easier on the lower decks.
    I WILL write the mission for this POI in the near future. I mean, you've seen the thruster pods and the lost cargo container from it floating in the starter orbit, so you can probably piece together the the gist of the story.
  • Re-added POI shield damage modifier to Disruptor Cannons for Eden Combat Site Integration so that Decimators vs Toveras actually have a chance (Disruptors at present are set to deal no damage to Dreadnought Shield Generators so legacy don't accidentally shoot themselves).
  • Increased shield damage for CV Laser Turrets and Heavy Laser Turrets vs Legacy and Dreadnought-class Shields.
  • Renamed Markos' last name (not that anyone cared) and adjusted the activation range for meeting him in the pirate story mission "Unlawful Possession".
  • Minor Changes to status effects.
    Broken Leg now deals less damage and slower to the player.
    Open and Closed Fracture may be incurred after falling really far, like broken legs.
    Radiation Burn deals less damage.
  • Loot-only devices and devices using loot-only components cannot be replaced with station services anymore to prevent duplication (Zirax turrets, Disruptor Cannons, Quantum CPU, Advanced Core, CV Heavy Turrets).
  • Reduced Reload times for handheld Drills by 2 seconds.
  • Added two new Crossbows for the Talon, that are obtainable by the player.
    Repeating Crossbow - Can be bought from Tal'on Traders or dropped by killing Tal'on Hunters. Ammunition can be bought from Tal'on Traders.
    Plasma Crossbow - Uses Plasma Cartridges as ammo. Unleash your inner Chewbacca.
  • Added two new Zirax Weapons that can be found in loot containers or dropped by their respective Zirax. Zirax Sniper Rifle and the Zirax Portable Rocket Launcher.
  • Increased the Durability and buffed the stats of the Zirax Combat Rifle and Zirax Heavy Shotgun (the ones the player can loot from zirax).
  • Disabled the Portable Hoverbike until Eleon adds prefab spawning support. Too many people ignore the tooltip warning and spawn it in MP, which crashes them and deletes the bike.
  • Increased the output of Large Solar Panels by 5%.
  • Reduced Blast Radii of Flak Turrets, increase blast damage to compensate (To prevent explosion buffering issues).
  • Reduced Blast Radii of Artillery, increased damage to compensate (Performance Improvements. STOP BREAKING THE EXPLOSION MECHANICS!)
  • Fixed exploit with selling crew to mining and factory traders.
  • Increase AU warp distance for the SV Jumpdrive from 15 AU to 24 AU.
  • Reduced the number of ground enemies spawned for the final stage of Offworld Grave.
  • Renamed Tal'ohn to Tal'on to prevent confusion between Vanilla naming vs Reforged naming.
  • Reduced curve of Disruptors from 10% to 1% due to a typo.
  • You no longer lose Rep with Polaris for having a ship in their territory.
  • Added missing maxcount to HV/SV Laser turrets and enemy weapons.
  • Constructing a CV on the starter planets triggers a base attack.
  • Increased Normal Range of SV Long-Range Radar by 1000m and increased the detection range of POIs from 1000m to 2500m.
  • Many Icons added and Updated - Includes Advanced Armor Boosts (now red instead of purple), Fire stick, Structural Ramps and Upgrade Kits.
  • Reduced CPU consumption of CV S-Thrusters by 750. (Subject to change)
  • Increased drop rate of Advanced Heavy Armor and Advanced Laser Drill from Ultra Rare containers by 10%.
  • Reduced movement speed of Raptors and Leafcutters.
  • And of course: Updated many POIs and Added some new ones.
  • Added the first three missions of the Tal'on Story Mission chain.
  • Added the second mission of the Pirate Story Mission chain (two more planned).
  • Zirax will attack Space station in orbit while the player is there and active (not while AFK).
  • Zirax will attack any CV being constructed on the Starting Planets (only once)
  • Chainsaw deals +25% more damage to entities.

Known Bugs:
> The localization for items, creatures and blocks breaks at completely random times and for no reason. The names could be Reforged, Vanilla or Unlocalized at any point. This seems to be a bug with the game and has been reported to Eleon.
> Spawns in some missions will fail to produce the full amount of units, or none at all. This is most prominent on Relay 451 when the Pirates attack the relay (Only one pirate will spawn instead of 4; followed by 2-3 instead of 5).

V1.4.6-75:

  • Assigned filters to all new (and old) ammunitions in the constructor (experimental, may not work.)
  • Changed material for Cores to metalhard from the new device material due to being too resilient to self-exploding blocks in POIs.
  • Added dialogue points to other crewmembers for POI-building.
  • Added faction tag to the CoreNPCcpu for HWS compatibility.
  • Increased all thrust output for SV thrusters by 50%.
  • Increased all thrust output for HV thrusters by 25%.
  • Increased shield damage of Heavy Plasma turrets

  • Rearranged Base Cannon/Minigun Turrets so that Minigun is displayed first, to reduce the chance of players using the less effective Cannon Turret on bases instead of the Minigun. (Seriously, stop using these against drones)
  • Increased conversion rate of Ore to Powder for Aluminium to match Magnesium (5:20). Cost of all aluminium-based munitions reduced accordingly.
  • Reduced blast radius of Plasma Turrets by 0.5 blocks to reduce server load while firing.
  • Reduced bonus damage modifier on Flak Turrets vs CV armor.
  • Added first version of Data Packages to the Empyriopedia that unlock when needed.
    These are actually a WIP feature that was successfully tested, but too hard to remove afterwards. Finished versions will be in the 1.5 release and there will be more of them.

Hotfix

Fixed an issue with Structural Integrity being unstable with building blocks due to a shift in mass vs stability.
New SI values means that not only are your old builds safe, but you gain additional structural support for higher quality materials.
Steel = 12 block support
Hardened Steel = 13 block support
Combat Steel = 14 block support
Concrete = 12 block support
Armored Concrete = 13 block support
Xenosteel = 14 block support
Wood and Carbon Composite = 14 block support

V1.4-74 Changelog:
Business as usual. April fools has ended.

  • Fixed bug that caused lighting and texture mismatch on Bomb and Torpedo Launchers.
  • Planks now craft into Plant Fiber. Craft times have been adjusted to match.
  • April Fools icons have been removed.
  • Added new icons for Bug Spray and Ablative Spray.
  • Fixed bug where Bomb Launchers could not be upgraded into Torpedo Launchers. (Still spawnable via the factory though)
  • Fix for collapsing xenosteel in POIs and builds.
  • Increased RCS torque strength for CVs by 10%.
  • Updated Legacy Decimator
  • Added Legacy Eradicator and Legacy Devastator
  • Legacy Eradicator and Devastator will now spawn as part of Legacy space POI defense.

V1.4-73 Changelog: A very Satisfactory update
April has rolled around, so here's an Early April Release (So that Reforged Eden will be updated in time for April 1st) that adds a lot of new content, bug fixes and mission content.
All-in-all, i'd say it's a very Satisfactory update.

  • Fixed bug with Legacy Homeworld playfield spawns throwing errors.
  • Implemented new Material classes to differentiate between specific block and size types.
    I'd like to completely overhaul the materials altogether, but it would make it much harder to integrate with Project Eden.
  • Increased HP of Carbon Composite blocks.
  • Reduced explosive damage of heavy weapons vs HV/SV armor blocks.
  • Fixed overlapping icons for the Artillery Cannon and Heavy Rocket Launcher (CV) on ship toolbar.
  • Recalculated blast radius and damage AGAIN. (might be too weak now)
  • Reduced value of gold and all gold products (including optronics) to base 1000 from 2000.
  • Reduced purchase price ratio of turret upgrade kits over market price to reduce exploitation.
  • Fixed bug with Tal'ohn repeatable missions not finding the Guildsman/Hunter location at the village.
  • Increased drop chance of turret upgrade kits.
  • Buffed Bombs (higher blast damage and a bonus vs armor).
  • Weapon dynamics: Lasers deal more damage vs Xenosteel and less vs Carbon and Concrete.
  • Reduced ballista bolt vs shield damage.
  • Reduced bulletspread on BA minigun and cannon turrets to improve accuracy against bombers.
  • Reduced BulletSpread on hitscan turrets. If these still aren't hitting, it's a bug with the game and NOT my problem.
  • Fixed jamming issue with Story Mission: Hostile Apparatus where over-eager players would trigger the final console dialogue before they were told to and ended up getting stuck between objectives. Old savegames WILL get stuck here instead. Sorry.
  • Added new Variables to the player character that tracks progress through each of the Story Mission chains to prevent players from getting stuck at certain spots because they forget how to read.
  • Increased the range of the CV pulse laser turrets in atmo.
  • Increased torque bonuse of MK2 Jet thrusters by 3x
  • Removed conditions for inflicting Dismemberment, pending it's removal due to PvPvsE exploits.
  • Added rested bonus for sleeping (experimental)
  • Added temp status penalty for death (Not yet implemented)
  • Added main scenario prefabs to creative scenario. (Reforged Creative Studio Scenario)
  • Added new Red Rogue POI to starter orbit as mission hub for early Pirate missions (for 1.5).
  • Updated entities with new behavior.
  • Added new Infester creature for Legacy. You'll have to wait and see them in action though.
  • Reduced blast radius of the Zirax Turrets to prevent fuel depots exploding when their defense is removed.
  • Implemented first version of damage scaling shields. Damage to shields will now vary based on ship type.
  • Added Info Packages that will be downloaded to your PDA when you reach, unlock or obtain a related target. These will explain things like CPU, shield balance and thrust distribution.
  • Added new Zirax Plasma Cells for the zirax turrets instead of using the player ones due to exploits.
  • Added Ship Multitool - Available for SV: Fixed tool that allows you to salvage or repair other ships using an SV.
  • Added Torpedo Launcher - Upgrades from Bomb Launcher. Hard limit of 2 per ship, space only.
  • Update to Icon Naming which will make Reforged Devices and Blocks appear correctly in trader windows and on the device list.
  • Reduced Heavy Bomber HP from 21000 to 13000 (Offworld Grave bombers).
  • Added missing Volume value to Structural Ramps.
  • Added new AI weapon designation for Imperial Rocket Turrets to prevent them overshooting in atmo.
  • Added new Foundation Blocks for POI building.
  • Added new Ablative Spray - Prevents Dermal and Radiation Burns for 10 minutes.
  • Added new Insect Repellent - Prevents Dermal and Endo Parasite for 10 minutes.
  • Updated several POIs due to clashing troops inside; added Quantum loot box to Xenu Fortress (Barren Metal planet).

New material sub-types are:

Weapon - for turrets, weapons, tools and sentry guns.
Device - for all internal devices (fuel tanks, generators, deco block, etc)
Thruster - for all thrusters
HullSmall - HV/SV Steel Blocks
HullArmoredSmall - HV/SV Hardened Steel Blocks
HullCombatSmall - HV/SV Combat Steel Blocks
HullSteel - CV/BA Steel Blocks
HullAlien - Differentiates player Xenosteel from Alien Terrain Blocks.
The new subtypes are extensions of the current materials (for compatibility) that apply blast resistance and hardness overlays to prevent instant-kills of Rockets vs HV/SV with the new explosion mechanics of 1.4.
It's also used to provide blast resistance to internal devices to reduce the likelihood of chain-reactions without requiring additional HP or hardness.
Stronger armor also brings improved blast resistance overall.

Hotfix+
  • Fixed a missing dialogue entry eaten by a bug that was causing the Hostile Apparatus mission to stall in the Radar Station.
    This will NOT require a fresh game to fix. The problem was that the computer terminal's dialogue had been cut off in the middle and this fix simply pastes it back in from a previous version. So you can continue from where you left off.
  • The Polaris Pilot now accepts cash instead of a bank transfer.
  • Reduced the mass of HV/SV Cockpits by roughly half.
  • Increased the thrust of SV thrusters by 15%
  • Added a new Large Thruster for CVs (1x3x1) that sits between the Medium Thrusters and the Advanced Thrusters (2x2).

V1.4-71 Changelog:
Minor Update
  • Added new "Missing Cargo" missions.
    If you find an "Undelivered Cargo" in any POI cargo container (low chance) you can take it to a Trade Station's GIN console and hand it in for a reward of 1000 credits, 100 rep to the faction whose cargo it is and 25 Unlock Points.
  • Fixed a weird bug that the Light Shield Generator for SVs was not craftable in any Constructor despite no issues with the settings. I'm still not sure how this fix works, but it does.
  • Changed the Story Mission "Industrial Concern" to hand out cash instead of a bank deposit because it makes better sense and because someone claimed they were getting -5 credits... which isn't even possible.
  • Increased the recharge rate and reduced cooldown of all shield types slightly.
  • Increased shield capacity of all shields slightly. SV received a larger bonus in lieu of the explosive problem plaguing both Reforged and Vanilla (That being that a single CV/BA/POI rocket will destroy most SVs instantly with the new explosion mechanics.)
  • Removed Rep gain from opening container spam caused an exploit.
  • Corrected inconsistencies on block volume on HV/SV Cargo extensions and controllers (Increased volume, reduced mass).
  • Halved mass of all Wing Blocks (Hotfix above)
  • Reduced mass of all HV/SV landing gears to 1/10 mass (Hotfix above)
