Update: Jan 19, 2024 @ 3:27am

- Rescued some fish that were previously buried near some coasts. (Oversights from previous coastline tweaks)
- The Tigris, Euphrates, Seine, Somme, and Rhone rivers are now more accurate to their real-world paths.
- The Danube river now has more accurate tributary rivers flowing into it from the Alpine mountains.
- Pathed several more rivers around the map, particularly near mountains.
- Added more marshes around the map, especially in northern Europe.
- Re-added forest to the eastern Russian tundra to better represent the real-world boreal forests.
- Added fish around some coastlines, and in lakes across the map.
- Tweaked and added some resources around the map.
- Very slightly tweaked the southern Aegean sea.
- Two "Europe" continent tiles have been fixed to be "Asia" continent tiles in the Middle East.

I was replaying the map, and noticed misplaced fish near the North African coast, so I fixed that, then scoured the map to make sure other instances of the oversight were fixed as well. There were only a couple other misplaced fish that I noticed, but I should've noticed them much sooner, but at least it's fixed now! I also figured I'd fix up and tweak a few other things around the map while I was at it, which was fun.
Happy almost-4-year anniversary of the map!

Thanks again for playing!

Side note: This is the biggest update to Mare Nostrum in nearly a year, and I wouldn't have done it without an initial suggestion from a player of the map. Thank you for the suggestion, and a Thanks to anyone else who plays the map! :)
I don't believe there's much more to do for this map, as I've remedied the main issues from before. If any oversights are noticed then I'll be sure to fix them, but I'm quite confident that this is essentially the final version of the map. Thanks again to anyone who's played, and continues to play this map. It's been great fun to work on Mare Nostrum! :)

Update: Dec 7, 2021 @ 4:54pm

- Redid the entirety of Great Britain, it now resembles its real-world counterpart much better
- The Celts now start on the western side of Great Britain; modern-day Wales
- Slightly adjusted France's western coast to be more like its real-world counterpart
- Ancient ruins are now in fixed positions, placed by hand. Placements are balanced, intended for less luck across all civs
- Other small tweaks

Side note: This update is quite old, I had worked on it earlier this year but never got around to actually uploading it to steam; however, with this update I'm quite happy with the entire map as it is. Unless there are oversights that need fixing, this may be the last substantial update to this map.
