Minor Bugfix update

Figured I should push a few bug fixes since Christmas is right around the corner. Speaking of which I'll be gone until January starting today.

Bug Fixes
  • Issue where temperature cache would reset after reloading a save. Sorry bout that cold biome players.
  • No negotiator selected while pawns are onboard the boat(s).
  • (Currently testing so let me know if this is not fixed completely) You should be able to interact with world events that spawn on coasts. Used to not work if you had a boat in your caravan. Please let me know if this issue persists as I didn't have the time today to do tests on all of the events.

Happy holidays! I'll be back after New Years to start working on industrial era boat mechanics.

Big Update

Bug Fixes
  • Animals boarded onto boats with ShowDrafteesWeapon mod causing null reference exception
  • Pod Launchers being able to land on ocean tiles
  • Boats trying to exit for caravan to a cell that is otherwise unreachable for its body size, will now be sent to world upon reaching the map edge
  • Numerous other small bugs

Changes
  • Volume of cannons and water explosions have been adjusted
  • Caravans now leave faster, no longer requiring pawns to meet up at packing spot for Prisoner and Boarding toils
  • CellFinder is now faster for boats spawning on edge of map
  • Additional settings in the mod settings for further customization
  • Removed references to steam boat, an unfinished boat concept.
  • World Map ocean and lake tiles have been changed back to impassable, and pathing has been changed accordingly. This won't affect boat pathing, but now targeters such as Pod Launchers will now longer allow these tiles as they retain their impassable ID's.
  • Mod size has been reduced, as unnecessary and redundant files have been removed. 41Mb down to just over 3.3Mb!

New Additions

Fishing Boat
Similar to the rowboat, it is able to travel faster and further making use of its sail. Additionally, if a compatible fishing mod is also loaded in your mod list, you will be able to gather fish from the compatible mod.

If requests are made for another popular fishing mod I will add compatibility to it too. Reason I've started off with these 2 is they are the most recently updated / more popular fishing mods out there and the defs aren't a complete mess to parse in from Xml.

River Travel
Bring your boat further inland by sailing through rivers. While this is still currently work in progress, I feel as though I've got most of the kinks worked out. If you aren't using the "River Sizes Matter" option, be warned... trying to spawn a large boat on a small river such as a creek, will most likely end in you beaching the boat.

Update Notice
Ever notice how the boats updated letter was constantly being triggered when you loaded your game up? The update letters will no longer pop up unless a new version has been pushed out. I promise :)

  • Fixed inaccessible collection bug with old version of Reseating Pawns

Changes
  • Increased emergency cell search count for boats struggling to enter a map with a lot of mountains along the coastline.
  • Added the ability to drop cargo items directly from the boats inventory.
  • Animals will now automatically board into passenger seats when selecting a group of pawns to board.
  • Reseating has been improved and optimized. If your boat has enough pawns to set sail but they are in the wrong seats, drafting will now reseat them by priority.
