with the 1.02 stable patch this update to Mass's Many Item Overhaul includes compatibility for the new update.

The previous smersh vests not marked as "complete" have been removed from my mod, in order to ensure people can keep at least a part of their vests I decided to keep the "complete" versions in my mod, though they no longer contain the smersh bags. but they're still hip slots, and they can take all variants of smersh backpacks as attachments now. so you can mix and match the colors now.
A similar situation has come with the plate carriers in my mod, with the fixed plate carriers in Vanilla there's no need for me to have special plate carriers with pouches already added to them. so now they will be ordinary plate carriers that can take attachments. (don't worry I've added the new attachments)

TLDR;
Use the NEW types.xml, create new types.xml for your servers after this patch.

Additions to my mod.
I've worked quite hard to bring a few new things to the mod over the past few weeks, a new backpack with 3 variations to fit the play style of a medic, they match the paramedic uniforms in vanilla and take 3 attachments, 2 brand new items, and a new m110 308 rifle with new sounds, exclusive to my server 'New Dawn' For a week.

The medical backpacks take the first aid kit, a new advanced first aid kit and a new NBC bag that has attachment slots for any NBC set. this is mostly for use with the radiation zones mod, but it works fine and is cool to have regardless of if your server has that mod or not.

Bug fixes/changes

The Kivaari 338 and the PPSKN42 use the animation base from the brand new fal because those animations simply make more sense for those rifles.

The Armsan shotgun now has slightly meatier sounds effects.

Kivaari 338 now accepts the flashlights

very simple changelog this time, But not a very simple update! days and hours of work has accumulated!.. and the result?.. New backpacks. complete with completely unique functionality, You can put your guns on the side!.. a canteen on the back!.. it comes in some camo variants and black/base color.

The new patch for Mass's Many Item overhaul has Arrived!...
There is a very important change in this patch and It's unfortunate that it had to happen, but it had to.
The raincoat backpacks, Courier Backpacks, Armbands and Plate Carrier vests have all had their classnames changed, this means that those items in your servers and characters have entirely disappeared as if they never existed in the first place. your previous types.xml is obsolete. please remove all of those items from your types as they no longer exist and use the new types.xml included.

The reason I had to do this was for script efficiency and expandability, The previous way I did things were each individual item was it's own recipe, which means the more I added the more cluttered and inefficient it was for the server to handle. Now, instead of 16 scripts for 16 items it's now 2 scripts for those same amount of items. meaning I no longer have to worry about script bloat, allowing me to create more things like improvised backpacks and armbands and vests to my heart's content.

The new classnames for these items (AND NEW ONES!) are

since we're on the topic of plate carriers something I've been working on are steel body armor plates that can be slid into plate carriers to create upgraded vests with superior protection stats to combat the higher calibers in the mod, and just in general. These vests are not "game changing" or anything of the sort, they're slight upgrades on the previous defensive stats. you might take one or two more bullets but the balance of the game should remain fine, The plates are supposed to be incredibly rare and require TWO to be combined before you can upgrade one vest. meaning it's very endgame material.
the idea was for endgame people to have a higher chance to keep their characters alive in random gunshot situations, one bullet shouldn't have to end 15 hours of work. (in my opinion) if you don't like this you can always test it and if it's too powerful you can just simply remove them from your server types.

and the for the icing on the cake, due to the scripts I've cleared out I have room to make something I've wanted to do and people have requested for a while, New smersh variants. the top most requested smersh vest was the black one, so I've done that. and the second is a vest variant for my WW2 backpack, it's nice and tan. looks great.

Bug fixes and minor adjustments.
338 has a changed item name to match the 'More Guns' mod, they contain the same classname so the mods are 100% compatible with one another.
Ballistics for the 338 have been changed to mirror 'More Guns' to ensure compatibility.

12GA bean bag shotgun rounds have been buffed significantly to ensure they do their purpose in knocking people unconscious instead of killing them. they should no longer require 6+ shots.

the utility belt has been increased in size due to a potential exploit where people would fill it with tools and then put it in their backpack.

The standard military backpack has been nerfed to make more sense. It carries the same as the taloon but the rows are taller instead of wider. so it's better for carrying vertical items.

You can no longer descontruct raincoat bags to get burlap.

Raincoat bags and couriers (Specifically the ones made from the gorka and the normal raincoats) are now waterproof. the sweater and m65 bags have appropriate water absorption for the material used.

Known Issues
Stew is broken, the last dayz update broke it and I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it. Don't make it, it's not worth it.


as always, the types.xml has been updated. it'd be best if you just simply replaced the old one this time. I've also included a list of the types in the xml folder and a trader config donated from trumps wall if anyone wants to use it as a base. (it may not be perfect. as I sort of just threw it together.)

PBOPROJECT was forcing more guns as a required addon. Fixed. (Sorry for ANOTHER update. I HAD to do this. as some servers could NOT start since they didn't have the mod.)

Fixed: Scout Magazine not showing in scout.

Known issues: the player character's hand placement isn't perfect with the B52 due to the model being different proportionally than any other rifle in the game. Wait for the devs to tell us how to get custom animations before complaining about it.

As always, All xml files are located within the types.xml provided, new items are always added to the bottom.

The Scout and M300 now use the cr527 as an animation base to allow them to use magazines properly like their real life counterparts The classnames for both magazines are
"Scout556mag"
"Massm300mag"
the m300 has been buffed to have 6+1 (6 rounds in the magazine, 1 in the chamber)
types.xml has also been updated to include the recommended spawn rates for these items.

The item name and description of the kivaari magazine have been updated to fit the proper name of the rifle.

Some bullet ballistics have been changed to match the game's latest update better.

Known bugs: If your torso disappears after scoping in, It's not my mod, it's the game.

Added "Massarmsan" New pump action shotgun that can take the hunting and LRS scopes.(and a new suppressor)

Added "Ammobox_338" A ammobox containing 338 ammunition, custom ballistics and damage values.
Added "Ammobox_12gaBB" A box of 'bean bag' Ammunition for shotguns, Does mostly shock damage. for players that want non lethal ways of dealing with enemies.

Added "Massm300" The one you've all been waiting for! The m300 cheytac intervention. very deadly, custom sounds and everything thanks to the guys at new dawn. (hence why it was exclusive for a week.)

A few things have been tweaked as well, I did some lod fixes for the gevar and the ghillie suit boxes should now properly have lods.

The XML files have been updated as well so make sure to update them to include the new items. all new items are always added to the bottom of the xml.
