Created and reworked lots of the visual effects in this mod. Lots of balance changes and a new version of Ragnarok. Rewritten all of the tooltips for better clarity and consistency. Added two-handed flameblades and a new flameblade weapon skill.

Balance Improvements:

  • Ragnarok has been completely reworked into a more devastating skill. Characters who were using the old Ragnarok will now need to re-learn the skill - I promise you it is 100% worth it though!
  • Increased Firebrand's damage from 20 to 30.
  • Reduced Firebrand's cooldown from 3 to 2 turns.
  • Reduced AP cost of Scorching Ignition from 2 to 1.
  • Increased CD of Scorching Ignition from 1 to 2 turns.
  • Increased damage of Scorching Ignition from 37 to 40.
  • Meteor Strike now has a 50% chance to increment Scorch on each projectile.
  • Increased Incineration's AP cost from 2 to 3.
  • Increased Incineration's cooldown from 3 to 5.
  • Increased Incineration's damage from 75 to 122.
  • Increased Incineration's range from 8m to 10m.
  • Incineration now executes targets with either Necrofire or five Scorch stacks who are below 15% HP.
  • Reduced Incineration's angle from 75 to 35 degrees.
  • Searing Volley now has a 50% chance to increment Scorch stacks on each projectile.
  • Reduced Searing Volley's damage from 29 to 27.
  • Reduced Exquisite Firecraft's aura duration from 3 to 2 turns.
  • Reduced Exquisite Firecraft's cooldown from 5 to 4 turns.
  • Exquisite Firecraft no longer grants Fire Immunity as an aura.
  • Exquisite Firecraft now grants Blazing in an aura.
  • Exquisite Firecraft now deals damage to enemies on-cast.
  • Increased Exquisite Firecraft's skill and aura radius from 3m to 4m.
  • Inferno now has a 40% chance to apply Scorch on each projectile.
  • Meteor Shower now has a 35% chance to apply Scorch on each projectile.
  • Renamed Blaze of Glory to Trailblazer.
  • Trailblazer now leaves a line of fire surfaces during the charge.
  • Reduced the end-explosion radius on Trailblazer from 5m to 3m.

Other Improvements:
  • Added two-handed Flameblades.
  • Increased the frequency in which Flameblades appear in Sol'Lithe's inventory.
  • Flameblades now provide Intelligence boosts at all levels instead of Strength.
  • Renamed the Flameblade preset to Infernal so as not to confuse with the new weapon type.
  • Added Roaring Strike, a new Flameblade weapon skill which burns and scorches a target and nearby enemies.
  • Improved VFX on a plethora of skills.
  • Rewritten all tooltips for better consistency and clarity.
  • Tweaked Self-Immolation's icon to better suit the D:OS2 style.
  • Renamed Meteor Crash to Meteor Strike.
  • Updated the spell icons of Incineration, Magma Wall, Meteor Strike, Ember Shower, and Ragnarok.

Balance Improvements:

  • Scorch is now also removed by Wet, Chilled, Frozen, and Hypothermia. NOTE: The AI doesn't know this, so it doesn't encourage them to intentionally remove Scorch!
  • Reduced Fire Whip's damage from 110 to 106.
  • Increased Scorching Ignition's cost from 1 to 2 AP.
  • Increased Scorching Ignition's damage from 35 to 37.
  • Changed Exquisite Firecraft to instead grant a Fire Immunity Aura instead of damage. This is due to active defense skills sporadically ending turns.
  • Flame Elemental now has the Opportunitist talent.

Other Improvements:
  • Added a new weapon type, Flameblades.
  • Changed the Flameblade preset to use Battering Ram instead of Whirlwind.
  • Changed the Flameblade preset to hold two Flameblades instead of a 2H sword.

  • Cleaned-up Burning Touch's tooltip.

Burning Touch needed a little love as it was proving to be overshadowed by a few other melee skills.

Odinblade's Quick Thoughts:

The new Torturer talent is proving to be an excellent addition to DoT mages, such as Pyromancers and Geomancers. Characters using the newly-improved talent were able to both apply Burning and increment Scorch too consistently via Scorching Ignition, absolutely melting resistances.

Removing Burning from this skill proved to be the most effective solution. In exchange, the base damage has been suitably increased.
