#New Romuvan/Baltic artifacts

  • Branch of the World Tree, recieved after reforming the faith
  • Velnias's Bow, found in an event for demon worshippers / impious characters

#New features

  • The Sampo no longer spawns naturally, a finnish pagan must gather all 9 fragments and reconstruct it
  • AI can now steal artifacts from eachother and the player (see note below)
  • New minor title: Treasury Guard, depending on this character's martial/traits artifacts will be harder/easier to steal from others. This affects both the player the AI.

#New Finnish artifacts
  • Sampo fragments, 4 spawn naturally and 5 are found by decision and event
  • Ukonvasara, spawns on new game
  • Vipunens Magic Scroll, event spawn for high learning characters
  • Vainamoinens Harp, spawns on new game
  • Kalevanmiekka, found in an event
  • Beard of Moss, spawns on new game
  • Axe Pendant, spawns on new game

#Changes
  • Increased amount of vanilla artifact spawns on new games
  • Slightly nerfed axe of perun
  • Buffed Sampo, and can no longer be stolen once rebuilt
  • Changed Water of the Blessed Mantle's quality from 1 to 2
  • Unfortunately I have to modify the vanilla artifact events for some things to work correctly, so this mod will again replace the vanilla mnm_artifact_events file

#Misc
  • changed some event pictures, apparently some were hidden away in weird places :S

#Bugfixes
  • Fixed being unable to target titular title holders that become unlanded (like the pope)
  • Fixed typo the "demand audience with liege" option
  • Fixed AI Slavic characters always finding fern flowers

NOTE:
  • Only dukes and higher can steal.
  • Must be either ambitious, greedy, or envious
  • Not a prisoner or in a war
  • The game will pick a random nearby ruler and choose one of his artifacts (same restrictions as players)
  • Then the ai decides to either steal it or not, higher quality artifacts have reduced chances to be targeted
  • Then the ai has to pass two checks against the target's treasury guard
  • If they succeed, they get the artifact and the target is notified.
  • If they fail, they either get no penalty, get imprisoned, or die

#New features

  • All new game vanilla artifact spawning is now handled by this mod
  • Added cleanup event for all unique artifacts to stop multiples from existing, player artifacts will never be removed. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure St.Demetrius never had two right hands.
  • Added new option to the last failure event of the steal artifact decision that heavily depends on the character you're stealing from
  • New event for the Axe of Perun, whoever inherits the axe must prove they are worthy of keeping it. The event will choose the 4 strongest nearby slavic characters(player has priority, but only if close) and have them face off in a melee, the last man standing will face the inheritor. The stronger character will get the axe until it gets inherited again.
  • Added custom event to increase the chance the ai gets the vanilla artifact rumors event, to encourage more artifacts showing up over time.

  • Svarog's Hammer, spawns on new game
  • Kladenets, found in an event
  • Raskovnik, spawns on new game
  • Fern Flower, chance to find in kupala festival event
  • Perun's Stones, spawns on new game

  • Buffed axe of perun
  • Slightly nerfed iron crown of lombardy
  • Slightly buffed crown of thorns
  • Changed activation requirments for crown of thorns. you must either be king of jerusalem, have the theologian trait, or have at least one virtue and no sins
  • Removed all edits made to mnm_artifact_events to increase compatibility, now uses custom events to increase chances of rumor events
  • Added artifact "blacklist" for artifacts with custom inheritance events, like the Iron Crown of Lombardy and Axe of Perun
  • Heist event difficulty now scales with the quality of the artifact, 1 is 20% easier, 2 is 10% easier, 3 is unchanged, 4 is 10% harder, 5 is 20% harder
  • Added a few more boosts for success chance to compensate for the increase

  • Reduced bloated tooltips

Note: I'm still learning new and better techniques so updates will be slow for a while. I have many ideas atm, i just need to find the best ways to implement them.

#New features

  • The Iron Crown of Lombardy will now always get inherited by the HRE emperor, the King of Italy must request it from him. If italy is independant it will be inherited by the heir normally. If somehow someone inherits it in an independant italy, the current king/emperor gets it.
  • Added dynastic heir as an accomplice choice

  • Made the first check and first failure check slightly easier
  • Changed calculations for the "search carefully" option in the final check, characters with high levels of stewardship and learning will have better chances
  • Buffed The Iron Crown of Lombardy
  • Buffed Crown of Thorns, changed quality to 5
  • Unnerfed Magnum Opus on Transmutative Alchemy quality 3 and 4
