NOTE: Anything in bold will only be available if "Fantasy Artifacts" is turned on.


#New Features

  • Added "Fantasy Artifacts" game rule to disable mod added fantasy artifacts and events. (for in progress games, the rule defaults to "on")
  • The following artifacts and related events now require Fantasy Artifacts to be on:
    1. Vipunen's Magic Scroll
    2. Velnias's Bow
    3. Branch of the World Tree
    4. Ashrune
  • Added new decision to forcefully take an imprisoned character's equipped artifact, this will incur "tyranny" with your vassals and will make the victim's dynasty hate you. (player only for now)
  • Added new decision to retrieve an artifact from another character that recently stole it. After 10 years have passed or any of the two characters die, you will not be able to retrieve it this way and must steal it normally.

Jewish:
  • Decision to allow foreign pilgrims into Jerusalem, gives a choice of 3 modifiers

  • New Artifacts:
    1. Hezekiah's Hammer: given to the character that creates Israel, replaced Staff of Moses for combat events
    2. The Menorah: found in an event after allowing pilgrims for some time
    3. Maccabean Shield: found in an event after building the third temple (will take a few decades)
    4. Himyarite Mask: spawns on new game, can also be used by Bedouin characters
    5. Priestly Breastplate: spawns on the Kohen Gadol after founding the priesthood, will give a debuff to any other Jewish character that owns it, the Kohen Gadol will ask for it after some time.
    6. Brass Snake: spawns on new game

Germanic:
  • Removed Andvaranaut, Mjolnir, and Gjallarhorn from vanilla rumor event. They now spawn on new games.
  • Andvaranaut now has an event based effect while it's equipped, will give money with a chance to get a random curse. If the character gets cursed enough, stuff happens.
  • A new decision and event chain related to when stuff happens for the Andvaranaut user.

  • New Artifacts:
    1. Gungnir: Recieved during battle, only for characters that have been saved by Odin at birth.
    2. Odin's Eye: reward from an event chain that can trigger for either the Fylkir, a mystic, or a character with high learning while religious authority is above 50.
    3. Gleipnir: shows up in an event after 100 years have passed
    4. Jarngreipr: spawns on new game
    5. Fafnir's Scale: recieved after slaying Fafnir
    6. Braggi's Harp: spawns on new game
    7. Brísingamen: spawns on new game
    8. Tarnkappe: spawns on new game
    9. Huginn's Feather: Appears after getting the Germanic Faith to 70% moral authority, 1 will be given to the discoverer of the event and 3 others will distributed to germanic rulers
    10. Muninn's Feather: Appears alongside Huginn's Feather

#Changes
  • AI Counts added to stealing events. They can only steal if they either have 3 or more count level titles, or have a dynastic prestige of more than 300.
  • Characters can now imprison vassals that steal from them ( you might not get the notification but it still works )
  • When the AI succeeds in stealing from another character, that character will have 10 years of immunity from further AI attempts
  • Characters cannot steal from someone they have a non-aggression pact with
  • Added "Chance to be stolen = -100%" to artifacts that can't be stolen. (only for the ones listed as "special artifacts", this won't show up on books or other blocked artifacts)
  • Added tooltip info in main stealing events related to how each option scales, also removed the colored borders
  • If none of the HRE, Kingdom of Italy, or Empire of Italy exist then the Iron Crown of Lombardy will be given to the Pope. Whenever the Pope dies, an event will check if any of those titles exist and return it if they do. Also if it somehow ends up somewhere weird it'll go to the Pope.
  • Made some artifacts indestructible
  • Renamed Visage of Fire to Mask of Terror
  • Added images for Mask of Terror, Blazing Crown, Ashrune, Sunlight Medallion, Dan Mask, Ashanti Doll, and Jaguar Spear.

#Balancing
  • Made player stealing slightly harder
  • Reduced vanilla smith item costs from 1x/2.5x/5x of yearly income to 0.75x/2x/4x of yearly income, also added a cap depending on quality to prevent things costing way too much late game
  • Added diplo range requirment for player stealing
  • Added additional requirments for musical artifacts
  • Gjallarhorn: added army reinforce rate, changed quality to 4
  • Andvaranaut: removed health penalty, removed tax bonus, removed opinion bonus, nerfed stewardship to 2
  • Staff of Moses: changed from a weapon to a ceromonial weapon, removed from holy weapon events, changed stats back to vanilla values

#Bugfixes
  • Added the new tiered kinslayer trait boosts to events (previously only the old kinslayer trait was used)
  • Fixed AI decisions showing up for players
  • Fixed AI patricians not able to steal
  • Finally finished optimizing all pre V1.3 events
  • Fixed "Steal Artifact" decision showing up on characters with no artifacts
  • Fixed some children failing to get the "Herald of Zun Descendant" trait
  • Fixed artifact vault buildings sometimes not being calculated
  • Fixed sunlight medallion not getting destroyed for courtiers that were previously commanders
  • Fixed sending sons to Knights of Zun decision sometimes failing to show up
  • Removed Vanilla epic rumor events for pagans, as all their vanilla artifacts now spawn on new games.

#New Features
Added "Holy Weapon" combat events, these will trigger if a character has a holy weapon equipped, is in battle, and fighting someone of a different religion. In exchange these artifacts have been nerfed stat wise.
Currently the following are considered holy weapons:

  1. Lance of Longinus
  2. Staff of Moses
  3. Sword of Mohammad
  4. Mjolnir
  5. Axe of Perun
  6. Axe of Perkunas
  7. Ukonvasara
  8. Ashrune

#Changes
  • Blacklisted all Prosthetic artifacts from stealing events
  • All Chinese artifacts (except books) can now be stolen, will only work for newly spawned artifacts in existing games
  • Made AI less likely to find unique artifacts (Kalevanmiekka, Aram, etc.)
  • Some changes to vanilla looting/siege artifact event:
    1. You cannot lose an artifact if an army sieges your liege's capital while you're on his/her council
    2. Artifacts with unique mechanics cannot be looted

#Balancing

Holy Weapons:
  • Lance of Longinus: nerfed morale offence and defence to 10%
  • Staff of Moses: removed morale offence and defence bonuses
  • Sword of Mohammad: nerfed martial to 2
  • Mjolnir:removed heavy infantry bonus, nerfed martial to 2, buffed personal combat to 2
  • Axe of Perun: removed light infantry bonus, nerfed martial to 3
  • Axe of Perkunas: removed morale offence and defence bonuses, added 2 combat rating, nerfed martial to 2
  • Ukonvasara:removed leading the center and monthly piety bonuses, nerfed martial to 2
  • Ashrune:removed terrain and religious enemy bonuses, nerfed personal combat to 3

Books:
  • All books including magnum opi now use the "Books" slot, you can have up to 5 equipped at once, some books with very specific activation conditions do not use a slot.
  • Magnum Opus on Alchemical Panacea: nerfed health bonus to 0.25/0.5 for qualities 3/4
  • Necronomicon: nerfed learning to 4
  • Art of War: nerfed martial to 4
  • Classic of Poetry: nerfed learning to 2, changed quality to 4
  • Chinese Compendium of Medicine: removed fertility bonus, buffed health to 0.75
  • The (FirstName)ey: nerfed martial to 2, changed quality to 5
  • (Culture) Courtesy: nerfed church opinion to 10
  • Keeping a Court: nerfed liege opinion to 10, nerfed vassal opinion to 3
  • Treatise on Fishing: removed stewardship bonus
  • How to Worship (religion god's name): nerfed church opinion to 5, buffed monthly piety to 0.75
  • The Secret History of the (Culture): nerfed vassal opinion to 5, nerfed monthly prestige to 0.75

Chinese:
  • Chinese Dragon Amulet: removed stewardship bonus
  • Silk Shroud: nerfed intrigue to 1
  • Jian: nerfed monthly prestige to 0.5
  • Ji: nerfed martial to 2, buffed personal combat to 3
  • Zhuge Crossbow:nerfed plot defence to 10%

Misc:
  • Cylinder of Secrets: nerfed learning to 1, added 1 intrigue
  • Chance to gain martial from Slavic festival event reduced to 30%
  • Added some boosts to finding sampo fragments for characters with high stats
  • Perun's Champion modifier nerfed martial to 2 and opinion to 20
  • Changed Levy Agreements to levy size instead of global levy size

#Bugfixes
  • Fixed rare case of meteorite spam for tengri characters
  • Made AI smarter about which options to choose in events
  • Optimized some old events with JD added functions

Since theres a lot of behind the scenes changes here I recommend starting a new game for things to work 100%, sorry :(

#Jade Dragon

  • Changed targeted artifact stealing decision to use fancy new third party features, basicly it both looks and works better. It also allows mod added artifacts to show up if they are properly flagged and unequipped.
  • Reworked AI stealing event, more optimized and added a failsafe. AI requirments unchanged. Added more traits to increase/decrease success chance
  • The following artifacts cannot be gifted to China due to either having special mechanics or being exploitable
    1. Sunlight Medallion
    2. Ashanti Doll
    3. Herbal Medicine
    4. Sampo Fragments
    5. Fern Flower
    6. Sampo
    7. Axe of Perun
    8. Iron Crown of Lombardy
  • Added adult requirment for chinese equipment that were missing it
  • Added "created" flag to some artifacts
  • Switched morale offence to morale defence for all armor
#Changes
  • Removed going solo option for stealing event
  • Velnias's Bow now gives 20% skirmish attack instead of 40% flanking
  • Tengri artifacts can no longer spawn on the Magyar Horde or in Avaria
  • Added 5% melee phase attack and defense to Ashrune
  • Herbal Medicine can no longer be gifted
  • Fern Flowers can no longer be gifted
#Bugfixes
  • Fixed sending children to Knights of the Sun when they don't even exist yet
  • Added missing activation requirments for Axe of Perun from previous update

On a side note, standalone version is now fully compatible with all mods and works for other modded artifacts.

Just a quick update to make this compatible with the new patch and Jade Dragon, a bigger update for JD will come later.


#Jade Dragon

  • Books of any type cannot be stolen by player or AI
  • Crafted equipment such as generic weapons and crown jewels cannot be stolen anymore. (use the new smith decision)
  • Added chinese quality 1 and 2 artifacts to stealable list (get the others properly :p)
  • Reverted all stat changes made to vanilla magnum opi
  • Disabled AI rumor event buff for now
  • Changed icons for Rebuild Sampo and Forge Meteorite to new smith icon
#Changes and bugfixes
  • Increased realm size requirment for herald of zun
  • Fixed Zunist AI not sending children to Knights of the Sun

#New Features

  • An Artifact vault building with 3 tiers that reduces the chance of artifacts being stolen, can only be built in the capital and has an upkeep. Tribal rulers and nomads have an inferior version. Will be removed in non-capital provinces.
  • Added notification for when an AI fails to steal from you

#Zunist
  • A decision to become Herald of Zun (similar to Saoshyant for zoroastrians)
  • A targeted decision to send your sons to the Knights of the Sun, they rejoin you after 10 years.

New artifacts:
  • The Blazing Crown, given to the Herald of Zun and can never be stolen
  • Rod of the Sun, spawns on whoever controls the county of Bost
  • Ashrune, given to whoever wins the first great holy war
  • Visage of Fire, event for zealous/lunatic/possessed reformed zunists
  • Cylinder of Secrets, spawns on religious head after reformation
  • Sunlight Medallion, obtained from the Knights of the Sun holy order. Only the Grandmaster and his commanders/marshal get it, your children can obtain it by joining and becoming a commander/marshal (they keep it even if they get replaced). Removed on inheritance and cannot be stolen.

#West African Pagans
  • A decision to create herbal medicine
  • A decision to ask for a blessing from your religious head after reforming

New artifacts:
  • Spear of the Jaguar, spawns on new game
  • Djembe, spawns on new game
  • Dan Mask, spawns on new game
  • Ashanti Doll, the religious head may give you this instead of a blessing, destroyed on inheritance
  • Herbal Medicine, created from the corresponding decision, destroyed on inheritance

#Changes
  • Increased frequency of AI stealing
  • Added custom image for Laima's Scales

#Bugfixes
  • Fixed treasury guard not getting calculated for some options
  • Some typos and punctuation
