[character_auto.cpp:809]: ai_build_vault uses a filter targeting a single title that was not valid. Either you are using the wrong filter or you are missing a trigger in from_potential.
I solved the problem with start the decision with the console
Not the author, and semi-late, but I'm still playing with this mod and Joyeuse spawned in for me. If you go to the 'find characters' tab (should be the default shortcut of . on windows) and you type in the name of the artifact it should bring up the character that has it, or a copy of it - depending on the artifact since it works with all of them not just Joyeuse - hopefully that helps you find it <3
Lots of characters get the trait fafnir_regent which is visible only as being incapable (without a visible cause such as maimed, wounded, sick etc). It has no effects on stats but forces regency.
After 100 years playing as a muslim(!) about 30% of my vassals are incapable!
If they add artifacts without changing the vanilla files in the description above then yes. Sorry, I don't have time to make patches for other mods.

Go to common\scripted_triggers\
open aao_stealing_scripted_triggers
under "is_stealable_trigger" delete the line that says "is_artifact_equipped = no"
An event should happen after you click the decision, guess I never added that in the tooltip.
You get the Sampo artifact and all the fragments get destroyed.

Try unsubscribing then fully exit steam then subscribe again. This is a steam/pdx launcher issue. I just tried it and it worked fine for me. I had to close the CK2 launcher then reopen it to be able to select the mod though.
It's probably still downloading which is why you can't select it. Just restart steam and wait a bit.

Fafnir works fine though. How do you have skulls if you're trying to slay him? You can only get skulls if you're Fafnir, you can't slay yourself.

I'm not sure but I don't think so. HIP has added and rebalanced some artifacts since golden 2.
At some point in the last 2 expansions(99% sure it was Holy Fury) Paradox added that event where you either pay money or lose an artifact.
Before that event existed there was and still is a base chance that you just lose an artifact on inheritance. No choice involved at all.
This mod and the "No Artifact Losing" mod remove that base chance but not the event.
Now the reason I haven't removed the event myself is because it is placed in a file that is completely unrelated to artifacts. So if I alter that then i would be breaking compatibility with even more mods that don't even touch artifacts.
Instead I've tried working around it by making sure it can't pick the really important artifacts for the event. I may have an idea how to fix it in a better way but that will have to wait until I'm back to modding. Which idk when that will be sorry.
The only other mods I have that effect or add artifacts (or at least, the only ones that should do so, its possible some others effect it without indicating such) are
- Crusader Mounts (which I assume should be fully compatible considering its your own mod)
- Caesar's Books
- Great Trade League
Im guessing it might be Caesar's Books which is causing the conflict purely due to you mentioning in the description that this wont be compatible with other mods that effect the "01_artifacts_books" file... I couldnt tell if Caesar's Books foes alter that file but it wouldnt be surprising if it did.
I was obviously using a bunch of other mods so I assume there was some conflict, I THINK it may have been "No Artifact Losing" (I had subscribed to it not realising this mod did that already) though I am not sure and didnt get anywhere with trying to see if it altered the files you mention in the description.

There's already specific liege interactions if you get caught stealing from your vassal. You could also take artifacts from prisoners.
I did consider adding something like that initially but felt it might be a bit too overpowered since tyranny can be played around.

I'm pretty sure I restricted the CB to only work after a specific date. I'll have another look at it.
