Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Non-Lethal has been a commonly requested weapon set. So many times prison breaks result in accidental deaths. So many times, an enemy raider is your colonist’s father and you accidentally put a sniper rifle round through his skull. So many times your berserk pawn starts to fight with your melee expert with archotech arms, resulting in, well, death.

Thanks to this mod, you will now have numerous ways of dispatching crowds and taking down single targets - you can use tear gas to blind groups of opponents, tasers to stun single targets, and dart guns to bring down even the hardest foes in a matter of seconds.

Vanilla Weapons Expanded is part of a series of mods expanding on everyday life on the Rimworld. When paired together with a brand new Vanilla Apparel Expanded and Vanilla Armours Expanded, you can bring something to your game that will keep you interested in it for days.

@nayko93 having the taser inflict pain might make sense but could become a very powerful weapon for raids imagine downing raiders without inflicting any sort of damage i guess their intention was to hold the prisoner in place while ur melee pawn punches them till their down.

Seconding what Narzov said, every other shot taken with the dart gun throws an error in the console. LOVE this mod otherwise, less-than-lethal stuff is fun

I don't understand, the taser just stun for a few seconds but inflict no pain at all, it's useless for slave rebellion, and the baton seem to work like a mass and I accidentally killed a hostile slave with it, isn't it supposed to inflict only pain and not be lethal ?

Taser stuns, rubber bullets deal blunt damage. Rubber bullets don't actually stun.

It's not a sarcastic answer, I'm trying to figure out why you'd say that all weapons are the same when literally every weapon in this mod does something different.

Taser... is ranged. Baton is melee.

is there any reason to use one weapon over the other? for example (based on description) taser does basically the same as stun baton. Is it simply for varieties sake?

i've been getting allot of debug errors since 1.5 came out with the dart gun which seem to largely just end up with hits not registering on the targets at all. did something change with the hit registration between 1.4 and 1.5?
