Description
Play like in the good old days. This mod changes the game as close as reasonable to the original game Company of Heroes 1. All units, weapons, buildings, abilities and upgrades behave like back then.

Contains the forces of Wehrmacht and Americans with their fantastic three doctrines. No additional payed content is needed to play this mod.

Select Ostheer or OKW for playing as Wehrmacht.
Select USF, Britains or Soviets for playing as Americans.

Choosing any commander will grant you decision between the three doctrines:
Wehrmacht Doctrines: Defensive, Blitzkrieg, Terror
American Doctrines: Infantry, Airborne, Armor

Remember the nostalgic times back when CoH was competetive and fun to play? (Nearly) every single unit had its right to exist and time to use.
The population cap is determined upon the amount of strategic points captured.
Americans have a powerful early game due to their all-rounder riflemen and the early M8.
Wehrmacht has a strong late game because of their veterancy-buy-system and impressive tanks.

Less RNG, less unit blobs, less turbidity.
More tactical, more individuality, more old-school.

This mod is still in Beta state. Tested only for 1v1. Please report any issues.

I'd be interesting on helping work on the mod! I don't have a ton of experience modding COH2, but I have played both COH1 and COH2 extensively.

The development has seen only limited progress this year due to lack of time. I would like to push this mod forward again but help of community is needed.

Even if you have no experience in modding: We will happily pick you into the modding team and also introduce you in the tools and dev plan. Try yourself, no special skills are needed to fullfill this task.

Why only Americans and the Wehrmacht?

Mod is off to a good start but has some big issues still. Tried to play as an american airborne, one issue for all us players, engineers wont build tank traps. As for the airborne abilities, the at gun cant reinforce, the spy plane and bomber both suck and hardly work plus wtf is it aimed like that? the strafing run seemed alright

I have been playing this mod....and boy there are many bugs. Ignoring the usual copy-paste building descriptions(like the barracks doesn't produce the ambulance anymore, yet its still says it can).
1st, german tanks cannot die in tank on tank fighting. Using tanks only as the US ends poorly because, well you cannot kill the german tanks at low health. Only can kill the german tanks with rifles at low health.
2nd, infantry company howitzers cannot be built. WHY?
3rd, Paratroopers cannot actually kill any infantry. They can keep shooting until the enemy has close to 0 health, but never die.
(Note this is only testing with US forces against AI, I would test wehrmacht, but I think they are already powerful enough with the bugs supporting them)

All available time is currently put into making all stats as equal as possible to CoH 1. With the next update (schedule unkown) you will see every thing adjusted to achieve this goal.
While doing this I always tried to keep the new look and feel of CoH2 - that's why I changed no graphics or sounds, no icons and made the new ones fitting and left the capture points as they were.
As only Americans and Wehrmacht are included for now, the new units will be these that disappeared during patches from CoH 1.
This does not apply to further factions that may be added (after finishing the whole vanilla experience). There you could get new weaponary, but this needs hard work first.
