Description
This is a version of the Full AI Overhaul which increases compatibility so as to be usable with all HOI4 mods in the galaxy!

.. and is a generic AI upgrade to make it able to provide better defense and more stable aggression.


Namely, with the full AI Overhaul, Germany defeats Poland in sept., France in november 1939, invades Netherlands and Belgium, defeats Denmark, and also invades Norway as early as Feb 1940! It also defends itself efficiently vs British attacks.

Japan vs China war has unpredictable results; this is because Chinese AI is boosted just as Japanese AI.


Other notes:
- AI benefits from better brains in all sectors but mainly in land combat.
- All nations also benefit from faster planning.
- Naval combat and air combat is still unaddressed except for a modded naval passthrough.
- Expect the unexpected though: mods cannot create AI scripts, only try to adjust.





In this light version, you should keep all the benefits with no "break" caused to any other mods. So you should be able to use it with Black Ice and all major mods on the planet.

The only part you cannot estimate is whether other AI mods take control before mine and aim at same values, hence removing some benefits if this mod.

Also note that we do not have access to AI scripts, only some values, so we can't address everything! Our mods are to be considered with caution and as "hit-or-miss" in many situations.

I love this mod, I really do, but it's ultimately unplayable cause I always get a game ending unavoidable crash between 42 and 45 in any game (Reich to Indonesia). I only run Road to 56 along with it and have the compatibility patch yet still get this bug.

Please try and find out what's wrong some time soon. I think it's related to the focus tree usage of the AIs, because the game always crashes on the same day when I encounter the error. The total game ending crash occurs at a seemingly arbitrary point (no high workload).

Then you should direct your questions to the regular forums and support sections, and see if this issue already happened. This is not mod-related but is HOI-related or expnasion-related.

Hello Maz, do you mean it only happens with this mod active? have you tried with it active and no other? or no mod active at all (full vanilla)? because such problems was never mentioned.

Sorry for the delay before answering, this comment was not forwarded.
I have been mixed on maintenance.

Patches/expansions deal regular damage to AI behavior and players receive more ahistorical power too with expansions. As a result, unmodded AI can now easily be beaten by minor countries.

The expansions now put AI under-performance to new limits. The mod still works and the global adjustments too; but I would think there now needs too to have country-specific adjustments, and this would mean a task for 20 people and not 1. So, so far I do not extend this mod. I will tell you as soon as this is changed.

AI is not country-dependent.
The output in your game for a specific country can vary because of offense / defense priority for the situation. It should still better react and try to settle a good front, but patches reduce any AI quality on a regular basis.

No change about infrastructure.

@Telparion Thanx. Will the AI, with your mod, be less likely to get itself encircled by the human player? And to understand your fully: The AI works for all pc-controlled countries, not only for Germany? Sorry if that is silly Q. Finally: what about building infra structure? The vanilla AI sucks at this....
