Description
Campaign port. Original by Relic. KotH map (1 VP)

The harsh Russian Winter has set in, hindering any offensive movement and air operations in dense blizzards. Under the cover of storms, German and Soviet units often ended up right next to each other without noticing it until it was to late. But shelter is rare and leaves no room for both.


ORIGINAL MAP DESIGNED BY RELIC

All credits go to the Devs. I ported and converted the map over to MP, cleaning up campaign scripts and other bits while designing balanced VP and CP layouts.

This map release is part of a COLLECTION of historical relevant campaign maps.

These were chosen with my UNTERNEHMEN BARBAROSSA tuning pack in mind, basically to provide the fitting background. Give it a try if you'd like to play something more historical.

Best played with the IMMERSION UI Win Condition / Game Modes pack, reducing the UI clutter. Also incorporated with Unternehmen Barbarossa to provide additional era options.

You're right, it's enough for fun vs AI ( or friends)... and too small for 3 VPs...
I know what it was deigned for by Relic and it was a pleasure to play it again this way.
Long time I've finished the campaign(s) and it's great to use the maps again... Thanks for the good work !

I converted this in like 30 minutes mainly because I liked the visuals of the map and didn't want to waste it. I know it is too small and very unbalanced, but it's enough for some fun matches vs AI. This map was never designed for balanced matches in the first place by Relic. To really make it work you'd have to significantly change the object placement. However, maybe at one point in the future I'll revisit it. Generally speaking, I'm not much of a fan of 2 VPs, imo it's either one or three, but I get your point with the "staticness".

Funny strange idea to make one single victory point... (^-^)
Small map for close combat, OK, but too static and soooo unbalanced with all the cover for the player coming from down starting position and no cover for the one from top of the map...
A second VP by the fuel across the river could be better for gameplay... ( ??? )
